Relek looked down in disbeliefe at the small dragonet that stood before him.
"Moreseth"
the dragonet said cheerily as it bounced on it's hind legs.
"huh?" Relek asked in disbeliefe
the dragonet repeated
"Moreseth, it's my name mine"
Relek smiled happily, tears brimming his eyes as he pointed at himself
"Rel..."
he stopped
"i'll need to change my name now that i'm a rider....." he thought for a moment "R'lek. my name is R'lek"
the dragonet bounced happily in front of him before creening to be fed. R'lek then guided his dragonet over near to where V'thou stood with his brown
"look man, we impressed the same color"

Kirana leant down, peering at the hatchings, admiring their abilities to instinctively know where the other was even when they were facing away from each other.

Vianthous looked up from feeding his dragonet
"guess so, i guess we'll be wing parteners one day maybe. i was hoping for a bronze or maybe a blue, but Pamereth is better then any bronze or blue i think"
the tiny dragon puffed out his chest
and i'm bigger too
the dragonet was as proud as his rider and showed it as he sat straight and tall up to his full hight.

The gold hatchling pauses before Naeryn as if sensing her thoughts. Turning completely around the dragonet finally breaks the mirror dance with her twin.
Of course I am mine.
Slightly upset, the other gold searches in earnest now. Quickly she finds the one she wants, pulling to a stop in front of Kirana.
Don't worry mine. No one will be mad at you.
Tolara merely smiled at her friend, before sharp eyes notice who the last gold had Impressed to. "That was the candidate there was a fuss about..." Her soft words were spoken to herself. A spark of Glith's renewed interest seemed to have jumped to her rider. The weyrwoman quickly jumped up, headed towards the entrance. Hopefully the intruder wouldn't make a fuss again, but if so she was more than ready to cut him off.

Faerra watched in surprise as the egg she had thought would be a single bronze or gold turned out to be egg twins. Most unusual, she smiled as she watched them mimic each other. They were cute. Watching Naeryn, she silently wished her good luck. Turning back to Mystith, she had not to fear of the green gourging herself, for she was eating in small, but efficient bites. She walked over to Neveah, "It's so great isn't it!" She was grinning broadly. Another glance back to Naeryn. She smiled as she saw the gold impress Nae.

R'dan wasn't paying any attention to the other hatchlings and Impressions, his eyes were riveted upon the gleaming light green hide of his lifebond. Amlaith, while still eating, was beginning to slow as her stomach began to bulge out. The delicate green swallowed the piece of meat she had been chewing for almost a minute, sleepily blinking up at her rider.
Full, Mine. Sleep, now?
"Uh, I'm not sure, Amlaith. I don't know where to take you, either... perhaps we'll wait until someone gives us instructions on what to do next." He reached down to scratch her eyeridge as he spoke, instinctivly knowing the exact spot.

Relek looked down at V'thous sturdy and un-naturaly large brown, he looked down at his own and noticed somthing verry odd
"Moreseth is..he's so small...."
Relek's mind filled with worry
"he may be too small to fly." he glanced around at the other hatchlings. it was true Moreseth was probably the smallest dragon on the sands, and next to Pamereth he was dwarfed even more.

A smile breaks across Nae's face as she hears the response. Tears glistening in the corners of her eyes, she throws her arms around her beautiful gold.
What should I call you, beautiful one?
I am Cyhiraeth.
Nae stands up and yells, "Cyhiraeth! Her name is Cyhiraeth!" She drops down again and rests one hand on her dragonet's shining back.
Come on, let's get you something to eat.

Kirana dropped to her knees as the rush of the words echoing in her head seemed to solidify something in her heart. A flood of emotions until it felt as though her soul would burst.
As the flood slowly receded, Kirana opened her mouth gently forming a soft sentence, "Of course, Tithenth..." She whispered, smiling as she caressed the gold dragoness's eye ridges. "And Riran will eat his words."
Yes, he will. But before that. Can we get me something to eat? Tithenth implored as she gently nudged Kirana's hand with her muzzle, urging the young girl to her feet.

R'ign glanced over and nodded. She got up as well, but calmly walked towards the feeding tables. Now that the Hatching was over, the weyrlings were her charge now and would be for the next Turn and a half as she instructed them on how to become dragonriders of Pern. One day, they would join the wings in the battle against Thread. But until then, they were her students and she would teach them well.
Mine. The one that Tolara mentioned, Morkth says that she wasn't Searched, but tricked T'rin into getting onto the sands.
R'ign blinked, not even wanting to know what would've happened if the girl hadn't convinced the bluerider that she was a candidate. If she hadn't been on the Sands. If she hadn't even been in the Weyr. Shaking her head, the Weyrlingmaster smiled at the weyrlings already feeding their lifemates. She stood off to the side, waiting for them all to finish.
Twin golds...

((sorry, Relek and Viant *shoots them evil glares* were hogging the computer, we only have one between us three here))
K'ther stood caressing and crooning to his injured dragonet. the red scars standing out greatly on the silvery blue hide. K'ther turned and blinked a couple times as he saw the twin dragons impress and then nearly burst out laughing at the size difference of his companions dragonets but held it back and instead went to retrieve the bottle of numbeweed from the other blue rider.

((Geez... G'dor's right be gone for a day or so and poof! You're way friggin' behind...))
Aoki glanced over when she noticed her friend slumped over in his chair. She stifled a small chuckle at seeing G'dor sleep though another important event. She brushed his hair back away from his face and smiled. Maybe a small nap would help him stay awake for the feast that would follow.
She glanced over to the entrance where K'elt was still leaning against the doorway watching. Aoki could hardly believe that someone would come and interupt a hatching to try and take a candidate away from their chance to Impress.
Even though he looked like he was relaxed from where he was, Aoki was sure that K'elt would have been up and ready to restrain the man if he'd returned. She stood up and made her way over to the entrance way and leaned against the wall beside him, "Want some company? It was quite a hatching huh? Never a dull moment for us..."

((NPC time!!!))
T'rin handed K'ther the small jar of numbweed, smiling at the new pair. "Congradulations. Here, just dab a bit of this on those cuts and it'll quiet him down. Though he'll have some interesting looking scars."
The bluerider noticed that K'elt was still guarding the enterance, so he sighed and went on to perform the next duty he had been volunteered for. Comforting the remaining candidates. He glanced about, not seeing any really upset ones yet, but, then again, some probably were denying the fact that the Hatching was over.
Softly, he spoke, not wanting to upset anyone. "Candidates? C'mon. There's a clutch on the Sands at Benden and some riders can take you there after the feast."

Tolara strode up just to overhear the tail end of the comment. With a brief sigh she smiled tiredly.
"That's what you sign up for. Or rather, your dragon signs you up for. We never have a choice in the matter." The last sentence was spoken with an amused fondness, and the smile turned to a grin briefly.
"K'elt, Aoki. Has that disturbance been back? His...object of displeasure...Impressed. I don't want this day marred for them. Heaven knows it-" The weyrwoman cut herself off, shaking her head, matted curls barely moving.
