I know, I'm just looking for more.

Like I said, I might just write my own. I've never played DoC though, so the fanfic will probably stink, but at least I would have tried.

I'm better with original characters vs. using other people's characters because I know my characters. I don't know every little detail of Vincent or Yuffie. I don't know how they think, and only a little on what they would say or how they would react in certain situations. Honestly, I envy those who can take a character created by somebody else and meld them into an original story without changing the subtle details of that character.

Then again, I suppose some would envy my ability to create believable characters with an interesting storyline.

Haha, it's an improvision thing!

XD

In a creative writing class, I was writing about my characters and we had to proof read and stuff.

This girl in my class proof read it and said "Oh my god..." and smiled then laughed.

I asked her what was wrong in an attempt to find out why she was laughing at my story. XD

She said "These characters act exactly like my FRIENDS," and keeps laughing.

I was stunned and she said they had believable personalities.

I was soooo proud.

My characters are pretty believable too, though they tend to be a little like me:

For instance, Jessica is a person I would want to be like because she is so open and outgoing and I'm not so much.

Sara, my namesake here on Gaia, has a lot of myself in her, though she is a little bit more self sacrificing than I am. Lily, another character in my stories, is a lot like Sara though I'm trying to figure out a way to set her apart.

Kelly represents a little bit of my wild side applified about a 100 fold. I guess she represents my want to be wild and random but still have some intellengence even if I don't show it.

Yeah, you guys have no clue who I am talking about but that's okay.

It's pretty neat when someone says that your characters are just like their friends though. I've never had anyone say that before.

I'm still debating about whether or not I should write one of my own or not.

It would be neat to know that I wrote one, but I don't want it to suck, especially when my good standing as an author is so fragile...

Big difference from "Suck" and "Not a lot of experience." Everyone starts at the beginning, nobody is born a good writer. With time, patience, and knowledge, you can write one heell of a story. Hell, I can barely get an essay to 3 pages using double space, man. And my stories tend to get pretty whack, but I dunno, haven't sat down and written one in a while.Still, it would be nice to see one by you. During the break, I'll do one, swear to jebus I will.

I've been writing for going on 4 years now.

I'm not quite so sure if I'd be considered a noob anymore...

Anyway, usually my stories turn out okay. But then again, that's using predominately original characters. I don't want to write a fanfiction and discover that not only is the plot a little stupid but the characters are way out of it.

At least when I use my own characters, nobody can say that the characters are out of character.

I won't post a story I think is stupid. For example, I think I have about 5 stories writen that I haven't post because I think that they are a little stupid. The best example is "Our Crazy World." Basically I already have about 3 different versions all with their own different plots but still go along the same main points.

All the versions were created to appease my Kurama-crazed friends and honestly it was getting a little stupid with all the flirting and out of characterness. I was even planning on getting together with Hiei simply because it was hinted at in the 3rd story (which for some reason I did post. No reviews though).

It's not even that the plot was bad, it's just that a lot of things don't make sense and I'm afraid I'm going to have to scrap the whole thing and start from the top.

Another story of my isn't posted for a different reason. Basically, I want to build up my reputation as an author a bit first before posting a story with incest (yeah, that's right). Sure, the story moves out of the incest, but there is a whole freaking story dedicated to this love pairing and I don't know how people would take it. And the fact that it was poorly written doesn't help either.

As for the VincentxYuffie fanfic, I've already planned out (mentally) the plot, but I'm trying to decide whether the plot is workable (and will be a success with most) and how to go around to getting it.

For instance, I'm trying to get Yuffie and Vincent to unwittingly sign up to something (nothing bad, don't worry). And with the thing they are signing up for, they wouldn't do it on their own so I have to find some way to sign binding contracts without them catching on. Yuffie's a little easy, but Vincent poses a potiential problem.

I'm also waiting to get a book which will help immensly in writing it. That might take a bit depending on when we are going to Borders again.

Wow...I think that's my longest post yet...

Eh, I like writing about characters already made because it testes how well I can keep a character in... well, character.

I don't like self-inserts, so I don't read those.
