Challenge Number Five!!

~Trivia Search~
How much do you know about Bards??

The Rules:
Within the Guild there is information that can be used to answer these three queries. Find the right answers, and cut and paste your findings here.
Answer the following three questions in one post, and you have only one chance to do so, no editing.
There are alternate answers that are correct, so the best overall package of answers will win.
Open to players and lurkers alike.
If a Nonplayer successfully answers these Qs first, they will receive a Stage Zero Plegmatic Empyrean, premade.
If the successful answers are voiced by a Player, the player will gain the knowledge to cast one of the two spells they select that other Empyreans do not have access to.

The Queries:
1. Post the definition of the Bardic Class from the Ul-Zaorith RPG in the Otherworlds Guild.

2. Which three Races have the strongest Magic casting abilities?

3. List two spells, with definitions from the Spell Lists that are castable by Bardic Magic.

1. Post the definition of the Bardic Class from the Ul-Zaorith RPG in the Otherworlds Guild.
Bard ~ Bards use music to cast their magic. The effects the Bard wishes to instil can be chosen from the Illusions or Enchantments list, such as Illusory Wall or Sleep. The number of songs the Bard creates is the number of their proficiency multiplied by their NMP. When upgrading their Enchantments or Illusions skills, they learn a number of new abilities equal to the difference of what they already know and how many they can know in total at their new proficiency. Each day the Bard chooses a certain number of songs that he will perform that day. These songs can then be sung as many times as the Bard wishes with no danger of tiring his soul out. Bards must take Singing, and Play Instrument. Common Bardic instruments are: the lute, the harp, the flute, or the bells. Bards must also take Charisma, Manipulation and Memorization, and Public Affairs.

2. Which three Races have the strongest Magic casting abilities?
Ere Beghin, Briandynians, Tirivahni

3. List two spells, with definitions from the Spell Lists that are castable by Bardic Magic.

Calm 1: fading Calm instils a temporary calm and comfort on its target so that worries, pain or anguish are forgotten. It is particularly effective on trauma victims to prevent them from stupidly retaliating, or for wounded to prevent them from getting up and aggravating their injuries in their panic. It can be cast on comrades or opposition, but fades after a turn, and can be broken by a will power check rolled off Wisdom. The target number must equal or exceed that of the casting to break the enchantment.

llusionary Sound: Create false sounds around the castor or target, such as footsteps, battle, voices etc.

Bodovians
Suoro
Briandynians

3. List two spells, with definitions from the Spell Lists that are castable by Bardic Magic.
Backlash (Enchantments)
Backlash 4 reversible Backlash is a useful hex to place upon a weapon. It causes the weapon to do half the damage it inflicts back on its wielder. Backlash does not affect the castor, but the castor needs to specify if there is a third party that he wants to be exempt from the spell effects. It can also be used as a Counter-Spell or as an Opposition Spell for hexes, causing the hex to fire back upon its owner, should your rolls win. Backlash can be broken if hit with a Defensive spell of level 4 or higher.

False Rhapsody (Illusions)
False Rhapsody Creates a false vision to mislead a Prophet, where the level of casting must equal or better the prophets Prophecy proficiency for the Prophet to believe it a vision and not just a mirage.

~The Concert~

Nehna drew the swell of her voice down again, the sound echoing and fading in the great hall. The shimmering double that had so briefly accompanied her melted back into her, and the stage was washed clean of the deathly mist that had choked the audience with its fear and cold. Nehna lifted her arms to the sky, and for a few quieted and mellow bars, the orchestra played on its own. The glass of the ceiling cleared of its darkness, and the streaming light of the sunset broke beyond the glass.
The light, warm, heavy and rich reds and golds suffused everything with honey'd colour. The water in the pools around them seemed to be repaced with molten gold, and the silver and crystal everywhere refracted the light, causing colour to leap across the stage, the boxes, the Empyreans gathered. That last bit of warm light of the day, heating their dampened skin, seemed to draw away with it the last of the unearthly chill that lingered even after the mist had been eradicated.
Nehna clearly sang the last verse of the song...

God gave you grace to purge this place
And peace all around may be your fortune
Oh oh children of the land
Love is still the answer take my hand
The vision fades a voice I hear
Listen to the madman!
But still I fear and still I dare not
Laugh at the madman!!!

And the orchestra too up the swell of music in the dying light, their instruments made of fired gold in the last light of the sun. A rainbow stretched above the heads of the audience, a perfect arc from one side of the Amphitheater to the other, both ends of the rainbow melted into the glass at the furthest edges of the room and disappeared into the colours of the sunset.

As golden light washed over the crowd and the Amphitheatre, Amelia instantly felt warm again, Death's hands no longer wrapping around her. The colors of the sunset washed over her face and that of Grave's next to her and she could finally breathe steadily again. Her grip on the Melancholic boy loosened a bit, but still, she grasped his hand.

Beware the madman...

As the music crescendoed, Amelia looked above her to see the rainbow stretch across the room, casting a colorful light upon all of the students and onlookers. It was a beautiful sight, and it comforted her. What a magnificent concert! The emotional rollercoaster that she'd been on in the past hour or so had quite affected her. She now realized the power of a bard.

The wash of light that flowed over the audience held a revitalizing warmth that seeped into Kallisto's cool flesh as she opened her eyes to watch the stage once more. Despute arriving so late, the few moments she had been immersed in the magic of Nehna's song instilled a deep respect and even a spark of fear into Kallisto.

Song did indeed hold power.

She found herself stretching her arms and issuing a soft sigh. The golden hues were a comfort to the Sanguine, much more so than the frightening shadows of when she had entered. Realizing that many of the other Empyreans were gazing at the roof and she turned her head upwards. A soft rainbow shed a spectrum of light that held a calming atmosphere that had Kallisto smiling despite herself. The fear of a few moments earlier lost their edge, softened by the comfort that the sunset glow had spread across the amphitheatre.

Grave's eyes unfocused and let themselves be absorbed by the multitude of sources of light. He relaxed, his coiled muscles softening, and he exhaled, as if greatly relieved. He rested his head against Amelia's shoulder and closed his eyes, allowing the colours to play on his closed eyelids. "That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." His words were soft, hollow and traced with exhaustion. Grave was quickly learning as an Academic Melancholic he was very suceptible to the effects of magic...and they wore on him more than on most. He felt so drained, so tired. His hands on Amelia's grew limp.

(((if this challenge is still going, i'd love to enter heart )

1. Post the definition of the Bardic Class from the Ul-Zaorith RPG in the Otherworlds Guild.
Quote:

Bards must also take Charisma, Manipulation and Memorization, and Public Affairs.

2. Which three Races have the strongest Magic casting abilities?
- the Briandynians
- the Tirivahni (particullarly the Nea)
- the Ere Breghin
(The Lisdanese have the worst. They don't use it, or believe it even exists. I love people like that. They live in a world where believing it exists or not doesn't mean it can't affect you, and they choose to believe it doesn't exist. ^___^ *realizes a lot of silly things in life make her very happy*)

3. List two spells, with definitions from the Spell Lists that are castable by Bardic Magic.
- Illusionary Deluge Creates the illusion of precipitation, such as snow, rain, hail or sleet.
- Illusions of Pain Causes the target to believe himself to be in mortal peril or great pain, regardless of any standing injuries or not.

(I'd personally love to be able to cast illusions. Although, it's most likely confuse the nonsense out of me if it happened to me. I have parts of my body where the nerve has been destroyed and can no longer feel them. If Illusions of Pain were to be cast on me and put pain to a part of my body I haven't felt in years, I'd probably go crazy. And to somehow combine the two, and feel rain or something on my arm that (a) isn't there and (b) i can't actually feel. I'd end up in a nut house for sure xd )))
