Obie shot her clothes a wistful look and snuggled into her yukata a little. They really should go back. She looked back at him and watched him run his hand through his hair. She suddenly had the strangest urge reach out to feel his hair between her fingers. That thought spurred her to action. She quickly got off the bed in hopes that he had not seen the blush on her cheeks and grabbed her clothes, not even noticing the dampness and stiffness of them. She slipped into the bathroom and immediately started to get dressed.

Ra noticed the slight flush and her sudden movement and wondered what he had said. Shrugging he stood and took off the yukata. He really wasn't too happy about sliding the damp jeans back on, the feeling was rather unpleasant.
Zipping them up he grabbed his shirt and pulled it in, shivering as the cold material touched his skin. He shook his hair out again in the mirror and waited for Obie to emerge.

Having already slipped her jeans on, Obie gave a soft squeak as she put on her freezing bra and shirt. Wrapping her arms around herself, she leaned back against the door to give herself a moment to warm up and get used to the feel of the damp, stiff clothes against her skin. Once she had gotten her shivering under control, she opened the door without thinking to ask if he was ready or not. Stepping out she stopped short and looked up.
"Oh, I... oh nevermind. You're dressed," she smiled, reaching up to comb her fingers through her hair. "Ready?"

"You sound dissapointed." He joked as she appeared from the bathroom. Shoving his hands in his pockets he turned towards the door and pulled one hand out to open it.
In the lobby he returned the key and paid the extra money. For a normal looking hotel they definitely whacked the prices up.
"Well at least the rain has stopped." He observed stepping outside and holding his hand up to the sky.

Obie flushed slightly at his words, then smirked. "Who wouldn't be?" she asked as she slipped out into the hall. She waited patiently for him to finish up at the desk, then followed him outside.
"A very fortunate thing. I don't think we could have afforded much longer. And frankly, I'm quite spent from the whole affair," she smirked teasingly as they started back towards the school.

He laughed and started on the path back to the school.
"Indeed." He smirked. "Most action i've had in a while." He shook his head and laughed again. Despite the ups and downs it really had been a good day.
"Next week?" He asked as they walked. "Though we should bring food and umbrellas maybe."

"Glad I could be of service," she smirked, carrying on the innuendo. She looked up at him and watched him for a moment, then smiled.
"Next week sounds perfect. I seriously doubt my sister will even remember it's my birthday, so I know there will be nothing planned and I'll be able to slip away unnoticed," she smiled up at him, slipping her hands into her pockets then looking out and breathing in deeply the fresh, rain washed air.

"It's your birthday?" He asked turning to face her. "She'd forget it was your eighteenth?"
He couldn't believe it. He thought for a moment about if he had not asked the question. Then she would be celebrating it on her own. He frowned slightly. Just like he had. Well, aside from the parental phone calls.
"Which day?" He asked continuing his questions. "We should do something then ... if no one else asks of course." He said, remembering he was not the only friend she had in Aquila.

"The ninth," she replied, looking up at him with an amused expression on her face. He really just did not understand her family life at all.
"You're the first one to offer, so you get the pleasure of having me to yourself thus far," she shrugged. She seriously doubted anyone else would even know. She just never thought about her birthday. It wasn't a big deal so she just didn't advertise it.

"Mmm, I mean. If anyone more important offers don't think you have to commit to our plans." He smiled and watched Aquila approach them as they walked.
"You know eighteen isn't so much fun in Japan. In Britain you can drink when you are eighteen, get tattos and piercings without permission. Here we still have two more years."

"More important? Who would be more important than you?" she asked, not understanding what he was getting at. Most everyone she knew was gone, and honestly, none of them would be close enough to her to know her birthday.
"Eighteen is still a milestone no matter how you look at it," she smiled and shrugged. "In the states I'd be able to get a tattoo, pierced, and smoke, but still have to wait three more years to drink. But of course... been there done that. So there's nothing to really look forward to for me there," she smiled.

Ra looked down at her joke and laughed.
"Right." He said nudging her with his arm. "You know, Jun or this Tommy guy you mentioned earlier. If they ask you out you should go. I don't want to stand between you and a date."
He nodded as she spoke and laughed again.
"Me too, believe it or not." He said and raised an eyebrow. "I suppose I should be thankful my parents brand of Islam does infant circumcision ... that wouldn't have been a fun coming of age present." He grinned as they stepped back on campus and looked back at her. "It suprises me sometimes, we have no coming of age celebrations. Not like Judaism or even western culture with your sweet sixteens and eighteenths."

Obie looked up at him as he laughed at her question and nudged her. When he mentioned the "d" word, her steps faltered a bit.
"Um... I don't do dates, so no worries there," she smiled lightly. "Besides... I barely know them. I'd much rather spend the day with you, " she said, watching the dorms draw nearer with each step. She snorted softly at his mention of circumcision as a coming of age present. She didn't even want to imagine what that would be like.
"So are we going to wing our little performance?" she asked, glancing up at him.

A slight fluttering of butterflies in her stomach caused her to glance over at the hand draped over her shoulder. She looked up at him and gave him a smile.
"Alright," she smirked and reached out to open the door to her room. Stepping inside, she slipped her hand up into the one he had over her shoulder and her other arm around his waist.
"Rashne, I had a lot of fun today. But next time will be my turn to pay," she said with a coy smile as she turned to face him fully and slide her hands up along his chest to his shoulders.
Isa looked up from the TV as she heard the door open. She sat up a little and narrowed her eyes as her sister walked in with that Ra guy hanging on her. Turning off the TV, she rose to her feet and put her hands on her hips. She had been about to demand where the hell she had been, then opened her eyes wide at the display before her.
"Ahem," she said, clearing her throat loudly.
