((omg, i'm so sorry haven't posted! i've had a hectic past few weeks without any internet.))
Calidar laughed, and vaulted to Tanneth's back.
"You'll have to wait for me, Toreth," she called as Tanneth launched into the air and swiftly gained altitude. "No one but me knows where they are."
"You should not act rashly, Chandra. If your rider is injured you will not be allowed to come with us."
Tanneth snorted a puff of smoke and hovered underneath Chandra and a little to the side.
"And you'll have to brush up on your riddles; I long for something to think about."

((Hey Calidar, I haven't post becuase I'm like you, I've been waiting for more post too. I'm only one ahead of you and we need bigfoot to post. I'll go ahead and post though.))
"I'll be sure to come up with some great ones," Chandra said in replie.
Toreth popped Chandra on the neck once he got control gain. "You can forget about that sand bath before we leave nut." There was a ticked look on his face and an angry tone in his voice but he really wasn't mad. However, he was going to hold to the no sand bath bit and he knew Chandra was not going to like it.
Chandra lowered her head in depression. 'Of all things he had to get rid of that,' she thought to herself.
"So Calidar, where are these wolves of yours."

((I might have to pm bigfoot and yell at him... thank you for posting! ^_^))
"They're about a mile into the forest, if you two don't mind flying that far," Calidar called back.
"Tanneth, you know where."
"This way. Chandra, try to keep up."
Tanneth pumped her wings and surged ahead, bringing herself up higher than Chandra, but pulling back so the other dragon could keep up. She twisted her head back and looked down at Ryan and Torokal. Calidar leaned back, too.
"Torokal, are you coming? Wolves don't stay in the same place long."

((*Jumps into the thread with calidar chasing him with a baseball bat* sorry I haven't posted, but lately my brain has been AWOL at home. Other than that, I really have no excuse))
"Of course." The large dragon, with Ryan firmly astride, beat his wings powerfully, and pulled even with Tanneth and Chandra.
((geh. Short post, but I'm stuck for ideas!)

"I think will all good to go now, Calidar." Toreth called as loud as he could so as to be heard over the wing beats of the dragons.
"I'll have no problem keeping up." Chandra histed, but with a laugh.

((Got that right! Fear the wrath of women in a bad mood!! blaugh lol. Now, I'm probably going to jump to where the wolves are, okay? To save time and whatnot. Sorry for being so forceful. xd ))
Tanneh chuckled softly, refusing to respond further. Calidar leaned forward as Tanneth flew towards the woods. It took considerably less time than when Calidar had had to walk, before she'd bonded with Tanneth. Tanneth dove toward the small opening in the trees. It was just large enough for her to land.
"Land one at a time; there's very little room. Follow me once your riders have their feet on the ground."
Calidar disentangled herself from the saddle and slid to the rgound, landing smoothly on her feet. <"I won't be long, love."> She slapped the green hide affectionately and stepped into the woods, under cover of the thickly intertwined leaves and branches. She watched in awe as Tanneth pushed herself into the sky and soared away. Tanneth glided to a a small meadow and landed near the lake. Silently, she lapped at the water and turned to watch the other dragons.

Chandra watched and waited as Tanneth landed and then flew off. She went down next and made a graceful landing of her own. Toreth slid of her back and slapped her shoulder before moving to give her takeoff room. With two strong beats she was up and flying over to the lake. She landed next to Tanneth and turned to watch the last off the three dragons. Toreth walked over to where Calidar was and waited patiently for Ryan to join them.

Torokal backwinged, setting himself down in the small clearing - he had somewhat less room than the other two, but still plenty. Ryan dismounted, and the ice dragon shook the trees with his massive wingbeats at takeoff. Ryan adjusted his coat; away from Torokal, it was less necessary.

Calidar watched her two friends slide off their dragons and enter the clearing. She beckoned them to follow her and went several paces further into the forest, welcoming the cool air and lack of sunlight. She squatted down and threw back her head. The sound that emitted from her throat was at first low and mournful. Then, she slid up the musical scale to the highest note she could reach and held it there before dropping to a lower note. Her howl echoed through the trees ominously, and slowly faded. Calidar looked into the darkness and found herself staring at two large, brown eyes. A large grey wolf came out of the trees as silently as a shadow wth four wolves behind him. Green Wind passed by Calidar and stared at Toreth and Ryan, making himself as big as was possible (making him quite big). After a moment, he flicked his tail and turned back to Calidar. Calidar straightened up and smiled.
"This is Green Wind," she said. "He's the alpha male. His mate is Honey Tooth, the silver one there. The beta, or second in command, is Feather Fur, the black one. The others are Snow Runner, the white one, and Fleet Foot, the brownish one."
As she said their names, Calidar pointed to the five wolves. Then she looked at Ryan and Toreth to see their reactions.

The hair on the back of Ryan's neck stood on end when Calidar howled, and his eyebrows had long since dissappeared into his hairline. He stood his ground frmly as Green Wind tested his and Torth's dominalility... ((SCHOOL!!))

Toreht followed Calidar through the woods and stopped when she did. She howled beautifully and perfectly as he waited and watched for the wolves. When they did come I paid close attention to them never moving his eyes from them. he made eye contact with Green Wind when the wolve stared him down and then did the same with all of the other wolves. He didn't know why, excspecially when he liked black wolves, why he was attracted to Fleet Foot. He squated down to be at the same level at th wolves and caught Fleet Foots eyes and held them there, with luck the wolf would come over to him.
"What are Feather Fur, Snow Runner, and Fleet Foot's sex, I don't want to say some thing to affend them." He said with a smile and a laugh. All the while he continued to look at Fleet Foot.
At this point he was sure the wolf would come over to him so he sat down on the ground and held a hand out for the wolf to sniff. There he would sit all night if that was what it took.

Calidar smiled, and sat down, stroking Green Wind's soft fur.
"You don't really have to be scared you'll say offend them; wolves consider themselves equal reagrding gender," she said. "The only ranking system is the alpha, the beta, the pack members, and the omega. There can only be one alpha, and any number of wolves can be beta, as long as the alpha doesn't object. At least, this pack doesn't discriminate. There isn't an omega, either.
"Feather Fur is a male. He's actually Green Wind's younger brother, though they're both loyal and the best of friends. Green Wind is the only other male. Fleet Foot was actually a loner wolf not too long ago. I'm glad that Green Wind took her in, but she's been getting restless."
She looked over at the brown wolf, worry mixing with the joy of seeing her old friends again. Slowly, Fleet Foot sidled closer to Toreth, acting as if he wasn't there. But Calidar could tell that she wanted to get closer. After a minute or two, she finally sat down, not six inches from Toreth. Calidar watched, waiting to see what he would do. Fleet Foot hadn't showed much interest in the other wolves. She was loyal to them and they accepted her, but she liked to stay by herself, never getting too involved but never letting herself be dominated. She had never been overly friendly. She had never acted like this...
((Had to put that in there. xd Sorry if this is getting oriented on Calidar's wolves. Just tell me when it's time to move, Bigfoot. After all, Ryan is the leader.))

((Hm. I'm kind of hoping for one of the other wings to post, or even the thread leader. I'm kind of anxious about whether this thread will actually advance any more. Post is short & OOC 'cuz I'm shortly to leave to catch the school bus.))
