meta-gaming is using knowledge you have that your character doesn't to gain an advantage, in one of my campaigns that got a ninja killed, three nat 20s, good times. "And I suppose a barbarian wouldn't notice a being of fire frozen in a block of ice?" says Cy, "your sentences are incoherent enough when you're sober, I can only imagine what's going to happen once you get some liquor in you."

I'll most likely talk straighter and start babling off in orcish at some point. I laugh as I slowly depart the graveyard.

"Remember where the graveyard is, since you think you'll be the most sober one here.....besides Setna. Then again, she's not much for remembering things...or being stealthy...I guess she's not bad at hunting though." he quickly adds after she begins growling.

No I bet she's not bad at hunting at all. I walked towards the nearest tavern to the graveyard. Trust me I won't forget this place at all. Oh to tell you hold me back if any orcs are around.

"I can imagine why. I saw what you did to those orcs much closer than I ever wanted to." You walk into the "wilted fern inn" which has "and tavern" scrawled across the bottom of the sign in black paint. The tavern itself is rather well kept, though that's more than can be said for the patrons. Most of them are passed out or on the way to being so. The bartender is a human in lavish clothing, he turns to you and says, "what'll ya have?" "My friend and I will have the kiss of the red dragon, if I remember correctly, you require gold upfront for some of the ingredients, so here it is." Cy hands over a stack of gold far too large for any two cocktails you cna think of. The bartender pulls out two highball glasses and fills them with leaves and a very fine sugar that he grinds together with a pestil. He then pours in various liquors before taking out a small silver flask with two red dragons emblazoned on it. He opens it up and pours in just a tiny bit, though it's more than enough to turn the drinks nearly blood red. "Drink up Valient, we'll see if you truly can outdrink a dwarf."
Roll a fort save, and make it good.

Javius: The drow and goblin both seem to be evenly matched, a small pile of coins rests off to the side of the table as a purse for the winner.
Sar:You feel as if your mouth has literally been set on fire after drinking the cocktail. The heat quikly passes however, and you notice steam rolling out of your nostrils. "Hmm, looks like you took that better than I thouht." says Cy, "Oh well, the night is young." Cy empties the glass all at once and places it on the bar. "Tradition dictates that you decide our next drink, Valient."
14+8=22 a bit close for comfort...

Well I'm feeling up to some traditional goblin whiskey, after something as exotic as that brew. I say trying to detect the after taste of the liqueer he had just drank.
Wow I may need to do some reading on types of D&D alchol, for this drinking contest of ours.

You won't find what you just drank. The kiss of the red dragon is a cocktail I made up that uses red dragon rum and an herb called firegrass. The latter caused the smoke, the former caused the fire. Feel free to make up your own cocktails if you wish. Just don't order a Tarrasque, I'm saving that for later...
btw, what's the fort save on that? I'm making them up for my cocktails and such. The bartender takes out two shotglasses and pours a clear, amber liquor into each. Cy takes his shot first. "This may seem odd," he says, "but I've never had goblin whisky before, it's not half bad actually. It doesn't have the same kick as red dragon rum, though."
I set out saying that nat. 1s were going to be automatic failures with skill checks, and I'll stay true to that. I lose my first dex and wis points out of many more.

DC is 14 due to the Wasp poison in it, the actualy poison is nutrulized through the drops of goblin blood mixed in. You won't find this one in the books either something my group came up with while we were waiting for the pizza to be finished. Fort 9+15 = 24, of course now when we drink I get good rolls but when I'm looking for something important I get crap.
I slam the shot quickly trying to by pass the horrid first taste but enjoy the much better after taste. True but this stuff will wake you up if your on guard duty down in a goblin infested cave.

As long as we're showing off our homebrew alcohol, here's one I made up a while ago. It comes with quite a show too. "A few buds from the red jade plant have the same effect," Cy says, "my turn, I guess. This time, I think it will be a glass of gnome ale." The bartender goes into the back room of the tavern and comes back with two glasses filled to the brim with a clear liquid. He tips in a pile of orange powder on parchment into each glass and the glasses begin to emit showers of sparks. After a few moments of sparking, the drinks catch fire with a bright yellow flame. After the flame goes out, the drink remains bright green. Cy downs the glass in a single gulp and clanks the glass against the bar. "That last shot seems to have taken its toll on me," he says, "then again, it might be aftershock from the rum." 8+3=11 Thank the gods I made this one weak or I'd be out soon.

That would be funny, especially since gnome ale is a DC10. You probably won't die from bad rolls though, Cy's got a bunch of good healing spells that can back you up. "Dangerous?" Cy asks, surprised, "just because my liquor spontaneously combusts doesn't mean it's dangerous. You've obviously never had orc kraig....come to think of it, I never hope to again. Vile stuff, really. Ah well, it's your turn it would seem. Choose your poison."

Nah, I think I'll pass on my turn to choose the liquer, seeing as how am going to be the one hauling you up to your room.
That's good because with Valients nature he'll get alot of injuries.
