Monks attack!
Monk 1 sends a kick at Aodakemaru. 15 + 2 = 17 HIT
Monk 2 swings at Saliv with his fist. 6 + 2 = 8 miss
Monk 3 attacks Yashimaru unarmed. 20 + 2 = 22 HIT Critical Threat!
Monk 4 kicks at Hantei. 6 + 2 = 8 miss
Monk 5 tries to clobber Desc on the head. 15 + 2 = 17 HIT
Monks 6, 7 and 8 are moving around you along the walls, probably to surround you.

Action Summary:
Hantei is the first to react, he swings his katana at the nearest Monk, missing.
Saliv launches an arrow into the screen beyond the monks.
Aodakemaru casts a spell at the Monk coming towards him, dealing 1 damage.
The Monks split up. Five move directly for one of you each. Aodakemaru, Desc and Yashimaru are hit. They realize the monks aren't very strong, but they are still outnumbered. Saliv and Hantei also have monks attacking them unsuccesfully. The other 3 move along the walls, trying to get behind you.
Desc returns the Monk's attack, delivering a powerful blow. Monk takes 7 damage.
Yashamaru also returns a Monks attack, cleaving through him. The monk falls.
Miharu glides in to one of the monks moving to surround you, slicing him open with her warfan. He falls to the ground, bleeding.
Current situation:
The Monks make barley any noise at all, not when they attack, not when they die.
There are now five monks remaining, two of these are injured. Hantei, Saliv, Aodakemaru, and Desc have monks attacking them. Miharu has another sneaky monk in range of her warfan also.
Desc has 13 hit points left.
Yashimaru has 11 hp left.
Ao has 5 hp left.
Animated Monk's ACs are 13.
