Which wasn't long. Seeing Kamiss collapse, but unsure of the reason, Aryl took up a stance over him. There weren't many demons left as it was, but she prevented all that came forward from harming Kamiss. When the last one nearby fell, Aryl searched visually for Zero.

(Sorry it's so short. Next one will be longer.)

(Its Ok im not meaning to write so much. Besides, you are still writing better and more than most 'rpers' I know, and its quality, not quantity. And better yet, you get to the point. That's good.)

Kamiss was floating, black liquid surrounding him, under the water. He was sinking slowly, so slowly it felt like he was on top of it, not below. He righted him, moving from his back so that his feet were sinking first. In front of him, one bright being was moving forward, and behind that, a shadowy gray figure was watching. Kamiss felt a connection to both, but the gray figure seemed to be part of him, while the other was just connected. Then the bright one touched him and he screamed.

(^_^)

Aryl almost fell. The sharp scream eminating at her feet was so unexpected and loud, that she dropped her rapier and gave up her half-hearted attempt to find Zero, whom she knew could take care of himself. So could Kamiss, or he would be able to if he weren't unconcious and...screaming. She knelt down, placing a hand on his back, which was cold. She tried to shake him, but nothing happened, and so she waited, silently.

The dark one rushed forward and shoved aside the bright one, who darkened considerably. Now the dark one could be seen as light, compared to the utter blackness of the formerly bright one. "You said you wouldn't hurt him!" Grey shouted. "I--" Dark began, but a swing from Grey stopped him talking. Dark flew back several 'feet', and Grey turned to Kamiss. "I'm Simakk." Grey said. "You know him, I believe." Simakk nodded towards Dark, who was now on his feet. "DON'T... tell him anything." Dark said. But that voice told Kamiss everything he needed to know. "TRARR!" He yelled. Dark smiled. Tentacles of black overlapped him, transforming his unseen features into the face of a demon, body and all. Trarr's grin widened as he taked, but as he neared the end he stopped, fury contorting his face. "I'm leading the demons now. I thought I was your friend, but appartantly not. You should have saved me." With that, Trarr disappeared.
And Kamiss woke.

(Oooh, I like the imagery.)

Aryl peered down into Kamiss' eyes as he stirred, looking for signs of...damage. She helped him sit up, and waited for him to speak. Her senses were taut, prepared to launch an attack, should an enemy present itself in this short time of weakness.

(edited my last post a little. Looked closesly at the new name of the Grey, and then read it backwards. You need to be in on this trick.)

Kamiss stood, and turned towards a nearby wall. The shadows there seemed to converge, and Simakk walked forth. He drew two long swords, small hooks good for grabbing blades at the top, and moved towards Kamiss. His skin had a blackish tint, black like coal, but seemed human enough. He and Kamiss stood face to face, then turned away, towards Aryl. They readied their swords. "This fight is not over." Kamiss said. "More are coming."
"And this is only a prelude to what is to come." Simakk replied, quite calmly.

(Sorry, but this means more and longer fights in the future. I hope you don't mind, mainly because thats part of my story and because this is the only RP we fight consistently anyways. Not even Wanderer or the Inn has this much fighting, so... Yah. Still sorry.)

(No problem, as long as it doesn't get boring and repetitive, like in The Matrix Revolutions. By the by, what became of the baby? Er, I mean Zero? Too many hours of Alice in Wonderland...)

Aryl stood a moment, blinking back and forth between Kamiss and this new...person. Then she nodded. She had learned to accept what this world threw at her, knew her world was gone to dust, and this new one would be full of twists and turns as long as she lived. She hefted her rapier, cleaned the dirt and dried blood from it, and smiled a grim grin.

(OK can you please start going into overdrive? Now that Kamiss' potential is 'fully' shown, things have to start happening to make him seem less valuable and more of a burden, which is why he runs away. So you gotta be more powersful. Now'd be a good time for using the elements.)

Kamiss and Simakk charged forward, side by side, blades ready. Zero dashed out behind them and leapt over their heads, cutting down the first few demons before dashing off, almost quicker than the eye could see. "Damn he's fast." Kamiss commented under his breath, and struck.

(Oh boy.)

Aryl crouched before the approaching hoarde. She closed her eyes for a moment. Raising her hands, she held them before her, and screamed a silent word. From below her, the earth rumbled. As the first demon reached her, the earth tossed like a wave, rising to six feet, eight feet, ten. Higher and higher, a wall of dirt, rocks, and molten stone. With a whio-like flash of her hand, Aryl threw the wall down, across the demons, an immense crushing force that buried even their screams. She took out a hundred, maybe more, with her strike, and was running towards a shallow but wide stream she had seen earlier before new warriors could arive.
She leapt across, and stood proud. They ran, unafraid, and she wiated while they ploughed across. When enough were in the water, she waved her hands again. This time, instead of the earth rising at her will, an icy wind rushed from her fingertips. The water, once slowl moving southward, now froze solid. The oncoming liquid, that was not in the direct path of the wind, flowed over the low layer of ice. It built up and up, frezzing as it came, until they were encased in solid ice. Aryl smiled, knowing she had one more element to call on, and her powers were nowhere near exhausted.

Kamiss jumped onto the river of ice, passing Aryl. He smiled as he went by, ice grabbing at his ankles, but he ran too quickly for them to stop him moving. He leapt onto the still moving earthwave, and as it was about to falter, he leapt off, breaking off a chunk of the earth and throwing it at still more demons. A few sword swings cleared the area of demons, and Kamiss moved on.

Zero smiled. He did not have control over water ice itself like Aryl did, but he quite easily controlled the cold. He raised his hands and a fine, dark mist spread throughout the area. Demons froze in theirs tracks, unable to move, leaving perfect openings for lightning-speed katana strikes. Zero prepared to call on his next two powers: Thunder and Shadow

Simakk spun in a circle, blades of all kinds caught on his sword. He raised them into the air with a quick slash, then brought his weapon down on the attackers. The falling swords landed mostly into the dead bodies, but a few hit Simakk, which he wrenched out without a thought. He flipped away, searching for more kill.

Encountering a small blockade once she too had clambored over her icy handiwork, Aryl leapt into the air, and dove straight towards the demons. Inches above their heads, she was bouyed upwards, and the wind caught the demons and carried them with her. Standing on empty air, she cast the demons down, the breeze clutching their screams and lifting them back to her. Ah, music.

She landed softly, no sound accompanying her footfall. She snuck up behind a solitary guard, who appeared to be awaiting further orders. She slit his throat, feeling the blood rush across her hands. She was falling prey to the lullaby of war and destruction, now this killing was becoming sweet and enticing.

Whirling like hellblades, her rapier and her nails slashed and sliced through her opponents, until none near her stood on their own two feet. She dashed, gazelle like grace in the very curve of her steps, towards the other three, a maniacal laugh spreading like wildfire across her mind. There was no past, there was n future. For her, there was only now, and now was the time to kill.

Kamiss felt a rush of power as he passed Aryl once more. He did not aid her, for she seemed quite capable (i wrote cabaple) of killing all that neared her. Also, she was kinda freaking him out, and she might try to kill him. Kamiss leapt into the air, and came down hard on a demon that never knew anything again. He dashed forward, and a broadsword caught his flat on the chest. He started to slice open, when Simakk barrel rushed the demon, grabbed the sword, and reversed the swing's direction. Kamiss gasped as he fell off the sword, his chest pulling itself together. Zero passed him, his face not showing any emotion. "Get it right." He said, and suddenly he was not Kamiss' brother but his commanding officer. "Can't you do it like Aryl is?" Zero's fingers crackled with blue lightning and he dashed off, blowing one demon to bits with thunder and slicing one in half. The two blades on his arms shot forward, impaling two demons, who were reeled in to destruction.
