My avis background is in my profile. I'm still rewriting my RPs, after she discovered all her memories were implanted.

    She was born into a large family. Her mother was an explorer. They lived on the isle of Gambino before it was called that, before it was taken over by Gambino. But when she was still very little, Gambino came to the isle. Her family was split up, though she managed to remain with her father Red. She remembers little of her family, except that one of her sisters was called Katrina, one loved ballet, and she can picture her mother, though she can’t remember her name. Red refuses to talk about there family. They moved to Barton, and lived on the streets for a long time. Eventually, they began travelling together around Gaia. They earned the money to buy a house, though they didn’t spend much time there, as they spent there days travelling. Trix attended school when she could, and worked too. Eventually, she and Red split up, though they still kept in contact. During her travels, Trix found the temple of the Gaian gods, and became a disciple of Kaze, god of wind. It was a few months later that Trix met Kat and Uni. They told her they’d been looking for her for ages. They were her cousins, children Trix’s aunt had had after the family had been split up. Later still, Trix met Ima. Red got in contact with her, told her there was someone she needed to meet. Ima turned out to be her half sister, the daughter of her mother, but with another man, not Red. She’d been separated from her parents, and found Red soon after. Now Trix, with all the pets she’s bought, and Ima, Kat and Uni travelled together around Gaia. So with is how a little native girl became a confident explorer.

    A while back, the aliens known as the Zurg invaded Gaia. Although more have now landed, there were originally just 13, the mother and her 12 children, the youngest of whom was Bobo. Trix first met the aliens when she bumped into 07 in towns. Her curousity was arrosed. She went on to meet Flarn, and took a great liking to him. Then, aboard the alien ships, she met Bobo. He was so sweet, so kind, so charming, she fell in love. He in turn fell in love with her, with her voice. She'd always loved to sing, and she sang for him. They fell in love, and had a child together, who they named Kegg. This was just before Bobo disappeared. Now Trix is searching for him. Searching fir the man alien she loves. So that they can be together, and so that Kegg doesn't have to grow up fatherless.

Out of interest...what is the kind of character you would absolutly never, ever create, either visually or personality? Thinking more of a main that you would get commissioned rather than bit-parts in stories or suchlike.

For me, I'd never be able to make an OC that was like some of the older disney princesses - hapless, hopeless, soppy and waiting for someone to rescue them. I just can't have female characters like that, I can't like them enough. I could have them as a background character but I'd never want to spend money commissioning them. xd

All my guy characters tend to be extensions of my females. They don't have much of a purpose other than being a prop to propel the girl's story along. I've been working on that with Midnight a bit but really, I could never have a male main character. I just can't write them very well and I much prefer designing femlae characters/their fashion.

For example, I have 27 commissions of Tanek, 20 of them are with Mek and 7 of them are of him alone. Males are just not interesting enough for me to buy art of them. Again, something that's starting to change a little bit with Midnight because his hair makes me swoon.

On the other hand, I have no qualms about the "Rescue Me" female characters. Still makes the guy a prop though, even if he is a "heroic" one. XD

Hmm, that's quite interesting actually, I find it hard to make males interesting - I have a couple that work well, Valai and I think one I just got around to designing an outfit for, Maivale, but I think that's because their clothes are 'fantasy' and that's always easier - all my other males are modern/futuristic and that's so much more difficult for an artist to draw in an interesting way (unless it's lolita or punk-y I guess).

However, I do like to write males (though they're never very good males, lol, I would say they're probably very realistic) and to have them as characters to commission - they just, ah, fall by the wayside sometimes... xd

I prefer getting my friends' male characters in art with my female characters... I have male characters, but none of them are as well developed as my ladies. I would RP with the female characters far more often because all of the forums I RPed in were dominated by male players playing male characters. I like my male characters, though, and I feel bad for neglecting them.

As for a character I would never create, I would also have to go with a helpless female. I created a helpless male character at some point, but he got dull pretty fast. I can deal with dysfunctional characters, but role playing the damsel in distress (unless it's for humorous purposes) would just grate on my nerves.

Time to revive an old thread. I've been on an original work kick, lately, so I've been thinking about my OCs.

Specifically, I've been re-working Rivek's plotline and fleshing out his foil, Sorian. Unfortunately, I can't just like, commission someone to design him physically.

And apparently, I still owe Audley a Punett Square.

God, this thread is from when I was in high school. @_@;
