Favorite food that other people don't "get" -- Eggplant Parmesan. Love the stuff.

Favorite food that other people agree with -- lobster.

Favorite food that grosses other people out -- steamed crabs. The kind you have to pick apart. With your fingers.

Favorite international cuisine -- Thai.

Favorite brand of chocolate -- Scharffenbeger (they don't use Dutch Processed cocoa, so it's kinda tangy. Their dark chocolate bars are like 80% cocoa.)

Favorite cookie -- oatmeal raisin walnut.

Favorite comfort food -- grilled cheese sandwich.

Favorite coffee drink -- Italian roast espresso machiato.

Favorite alcholic drink -- Mojitos (lime juice, fresh mint, a touch of sugar, and light rum)

Mmm, I could go on and on. My dentist said I have unusually large taste buds (really, she did say that). I guess that explains alot.

Bestmom; you are truly a Mom..."have you ever tried it? Then how can you say you don't like it?"

SexiAvie; Awwww c'mon, just one little bite. You never know -- you might love it!

*waves fork in air and makes choo-choo noises*

Oh my goo'ness! How could I forget:

Favorite Snack: Just about anything with that cheese powder stuff on it. Don't care if it's the neon orange or the so-called White Cheddar. I live for that stuff!

Oh my god, my food passions are like the wind, constantly changing. It's whatever flits across my radar, that gets me, but certain things keep me coming back.

Like Purdy's chocolate, a British Columbia exclusive. None of you have had chocolate like this. I've had good import chocolates, and this is right up there with the best of them, it's distinctive, maybe a little rugged, but oh so wonderful (especially their dark chocolate.)

Also, really good beef jerky. I bought a bunch up in Port Alberni last weekend, and I've already eaten so much, I had to tell my husband to take it to work, or he wouldn't get any!

Homemade jam, especially apricot, but I adore blackberry, raspberry and freezer jam, but only strawberry.

My favourite cusines are Japanese, Thai, and Greek.

We frequently have grilled eggplant during the summer. I bought some beauties last weekend (at the same PA market), and we've been eating them all week.

I also ADORE sunripened tomatoes, and can murder a Greek salad for four by myself, if the tomatoes are in their seasonal perfection. I loathe super market tomatoes, especially those weird hybrid things they send up to Canada every winter. Ugh!

Oh, and I live by the ocean, so we eat crabs like crazy! And prawns, salmon, cod, etc. Soooooo delicious!

This thread makes me hungry.

Favorite Foods: Mac and Cheese (best comfort food ever!), mashed potatoes but they can't be really lumpy or too soft, my mom's spicy grilled fish, pep pizza, garlic and cheese bread, curly fries, crab legs, grilled chicken slathered in A1, Frisco melt, Steak N' Shakes' banana milk shake, banana laffy taffy, cheese cake, chocolate covered cream filled doughnuts, Bacardi, Smirnoff, Diet Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew, Vault, Caramel Moolatte, White Chocolate Frappe, Peanut Butter Cookies, Chocolate chip cookies taken out of the stove just before they're actually done, my mom's lasgnana, homemade waffles, corn on the cob, Kelloggs vanilla and almond cereal, harvest chedder sun chips, peanut butter sandwich with a side of backed potato chips, and popcorn with a glass of orange juice.

Damnit. Now I'm starving.

Dolmaldes! oh god do I love Dolmades.

3nodding My mother makes the best dolmades on the planet. They have grapes, so she uses their own leaves, and she has completely customized the recipe, spices, currants, ground lamb and rice. They're amazing!

I love Greek food period. I drain whole fat yogurt, and make my own tzatziki. I'm making a Greek dinner tonight, with grilled marinated lamb, tzatziki, greek salad, and artisan bread I bought in Victoria, yesterday. Food is absolutely my passion.
