Watching Puck look at the tie on him in the mirror, Minerva couldn't help but think that it suited him... well, not the tie part, but the colours matched somewhat.

"Yeah, well Zukin's a little weird, so... but what am I saying? I'm weird too... Zukin just dresses funny, I guess. I've only seen her wear it once or twice."

"A different store? Nah, this store's fun... except for that man who keeps watching us." She said with a grin as she picked up a belt with bells and chimes on it. "He's just jealous!"

She wrapped it around her waist and spun once in a circle, giggling at the quiet but pretty noises that came from moving the belt.

The white-haired boy chuckled heartily. "It seems everyone in this entire Kingdom is weird some way or another..." He took off the tie and threw it over his shoulder. It lassoed onto the stand where he had found it. "Don't know if I could imagine bat-girl wearing one of those, though..."

"Jealous? I suppose. And if he isn't, he should be. How can he look so bored around a place like this? Well, actually, he looks like a dragon guarding his treause. We better be careful not to give him a reason to suspect of theivery." Puck floated over to Minevra, the tiny jingling of the belt bringing a smile to his face as she put it on.

"Suits you. Then when I hear bells I'll know to be wary. The little green witch with her evil magic stick," he teased. "Find anything you like?"

Minerva grinned as she spun around again "it's not evil, it just doesn't like you." She teased with a playful grin.

In response to Puck's question, her gaze was set on a rack of emerald tinted, transparent scarves, she put the belt back and pointed before them with a small smile.

She ran over to the rack and picked up a silky transparent green scarf and wrapped it around her neck, "What do you think? Does it fit, or should I stay with the belt?" She asked with a grin.

"Don't tell me it's alive?" He grimaced, oblivious to Minerva's teasing. "But then that would explain a lot of things."

Puck followed her gaze to the rack. "I think it certainly suits you better," he answered, smiling. "But I've never heard of a scarf-wearing witch. Oh!"

As he leaned against a shelf, an overly large, feathered hat fell down over his eyes and obscred his vision.

Minerva giggled as she turned to look at Puck "no it's not alive, silly. I was just teasing you."

Shifting the scarf a little bit she shrugged, "I guess I'm just one-of-a-kind, huh Puck... Puck?" She flew over to him and peaked under the fallen hat, a grin on her face "I think this one's a little too big for you."

"Well that's good to hear. It's enough having to deal with you, let alone your stick," he jested, attempting to pull off the hat.

"You think?" He grinned back at Minerva under the hat, then laughed. "You certainly are. How about you try this hat on? You seem to enjoy oversized hats..." He placed the feathered hat on Minerva's head.

"So, you want the scarf? Just don't use it to gag me or anything..."

"Oh, I'm good for entertainment, however hard it is to bare." She said with a grin, placing her hands at her hips.

She opened her mouth to speak again when the dropped hat obstructed her vision. A small squeak of shock escaped her lips before she giggled, tipping the hat up so she could see from it.

"Yeah, just the scarf, it's really pretty and it will go with my dress... though I don't think I need any more green, I like it anyways." She dropped her head slightly and hid her mouth behind the scarf, only the corners of a smirk being visible.

"I don't like oversized hats that much, I just like mine, and this one, because it's oh so precious," she grinned, a joking tone to her words.

"Indeed." He smirked at the hat. It seemed to look less awkward on her, but perhaps it was only because he was used to seeing her wear over-sized hats. They gave her a shy, quiet appearence, but he knew her to well to believe that was the case.

"You couldn't have too much green. It suits you, and it reminds me of that field of clovers. It's me who green doesn't suit..." he murmured humorously, recalling the 'leprechan' incident on St. Patrick's Day, or St. Pattie's Day as Minerva liked to call it.

Quietly, he circled around behind Minerva and removed her scarf, chuckling at her comment of 'oh so precious'.

"That hat makes you look like a medieval minstrel. They were fond of feathered hats, you know." Smiling, he turned to the man in charge of the and asked subtly if he could purchase it.

"Really? I like that field, it has a friendly feel to it." Minerva smiled as she tilted her head slightly "What do you mean you don't suit? Like you don't belong or something? That's preposterous!"

"A minstrel? If only I could be that talented," She started to say before she felt the fabric glide away from her neck "hm, Puck?" She watched as he talked to the man and a sweet smile appeared on her face.

"Now the field is friendly. Next you'll say the tree loves you and the castle is evil." Puck teased. "You're the one who's being preposterous. And What I meant was I am NEVER wearing green because the only thing to stop people from thinking I'm a leprechan then is having white hair. In which case they may just consider me a really old one."

"Who needs to know how to play music when you've got magic? And that's a talent far fewer possess."

The white-haired fae took out the think he had tied to his belt; the small velvet pouch from before. taking a few things from it, he passed a couple of large, solid gold coins to the man as payment for the scarf and flew back toward Minerva with the scarf in hand.

"I believe this is yours."

Minerva giggled "you misunderstand me, Puck. What I meant by a friendly feel, is... well, the field and that tree, I go there if I want to be alone, or if I want to find you, even though you may not always be there, but you were. It's a place where I feel happy and safe, althought you're probably just going to think that's stupid."

"And if it's any consolation, I never thought you were a leprechan. Wait a second, did you just-" She said before reaching out and taking the scarf from Puck, the smile on her face almost glowing.

"Thank you Puck."
PostPosted: Sun Jul 09, 2006 10:24 pm

The fae laughed. "Then you'll have to forgive me. I'm still not accustomed to understanding your 'feelings', but that certainly doesn't mean I think they're stupid."

"I'm glad. But It was Ty who had been teasing me. Especially after I found that four-leaf clover. And yet...it was also her who gave me a little 'allowance' when I saw her at the lake last night." He proudly held up the little velvet purple pouch. "She said we could go shoping with it. She wouldn't say where she got it; only that pirates and dragons always had a little gold here and there that they never use. I suppose it's true enough."

He grinned. "My pleasure. Though honestly, it was nothing. Shall we move on? there's a lot of stores...and this gold is weighing me down."

Minerva grinned "Don't worry about it, I don't except you to just automatically understand them, some people live out their whole lives in confusion about feelings."

"I don't see why she would tease you about that, I was looking for one anyways... I still have it too, being pressed in a book."

"Wait, Tymiko gave you allowance? I thought she didn't do stuff like that," She wondered out loud as grinned "I guess I underestimated her... unless she stole it."

"It wasn't just 'nothing', it was really nice. I appreciate it," She took off the oversized hat and placed it back on the rack.

Turning back to Puck, she grinned and pointed towards him with the hand not holding the scarf, "That's what you were hiding earlier, isn't it? That pouch!"
PostPosted: Sun Jul 09, 2006 11:18 pm

"But you don't understand," he continued, still laughing. "I don't even know what confusion is. It's not so much understanding as experiencing. But I'm still somewhat afraid of them, I'll admit..."

"She teased me about being extra lucky and leprechans having all the luck. She said only a leprechan would have the luck to find the perfect girl on St. Patrick's day," he told Minerva, trying to control his reddening face. "Nothing but a little harmless teasing." He smiled when she mentioned she still had it in a book. "Be careful. You may just forget it there."

"She must have learned about the allowence you were spending on me and wanted to give something in return. I don't think she really understood the actual word, but she gave me the gold anyway, saying she didn't really need it herself. And don't worry, I doubt it was stolen....she'd have no one to steal it from, first of all, and second she doesn't seem the type so keen for gold. She passed by all that treasure in the room she found me in and hardly glanced at them."

"I'm glad you like it, then. If you didn't, I wouldn't know what to do," he answered mockingly. "The pouch? Perhaps..." With a sly smile, he took her hand and ledher out of the store. "Hurry up, slow poke!"

Minerva giggled "well don't worry, there's no reason to be afraid of things like that. Everyone experiences these things, it may take a few hours, or a few millenia, but everyone will experience them. Some are bad, some are good, and some are in the middle, but it's worth it to experience them."

"Well, that's not nice, and-" She paused, her cheeks reddening ever-so-slightly "Well then she was wrong about two things, you're no leprechan and I'm not even close to being a 'perfect girl', but that's very nice of her to say." She winked "me forget something like that? Never."

"Again, that's very nice of her, but it wasn't needed, although it's grately appreciated." Giggling at Puck's next words, she let him lead her out of the store "I'm not slow, you're just..." She floated a bit off the ground and in front of Puck "you're the one that's behind me, and you have the nerve to call me slow?" She teased.
