Was it the thing with the gaping mouth and razor teeth?!?!? He took a closer look as he summoned Ia. Master, we're back here again aren't we? "Stop calling me master and help me rid of these things!" he screamed out loud, not a fan of centipedes at all. The centipedes were fast, but Lin managed to smash Anax down onto the tail of one of them. It made an unholy, high-pitched screeing noise. "Insects shouldn't be able to get this big," Lin muttered. "It should be impossible."

The moon did his best to jump away from the centipedes as he finished them off. By themselves they were hardly a threat but there were so many, and they didn't like being stabbed at.
Why did these things have to explode?!

Then again, summoning a magic weapon out of thin air should also be impossible, so her concept of what was possible might need to be expanded more. Lin got a better shot in on the injured centipede. It exploded, spattering her with fragments of shell and some kind of stinging acidic spray.

With his blade fully charged, he swing it once, needle like energy piercing the remaining centipedes and finishing them off in one blow/
More groaning, but now Jason was free to assist the other trainees.
"DOES ANYONE NEED HELP?" He called out, scanning the sands for anyone who was struggling.

It turned out that a large hammer was pretty good for squishing bugs, as long as you managed to hit them. Lin flattened another two centipedes. She was prepared for them to blow up, but that didn't mean it didn't sting.

( 2d8 - 6 ) He flailed about in the sand, like a kid trying to swat away a bee, and started to randomly swing at the two looongg centipedes that crept out of the sand. ( 2d8 - 6 ) Sy just held onto his weapon with very shaky hands. One of them leaned in trying to grab onto his jacket. "Ia.. just.. hold on.. let me f-focus.." Well, you better hurry. This one's coming atcha. Which a heavy stomach, Sy kept seeing the fleshy gross room in front of him from before... Digging one foot into the sand, he swung his weapon and cut the first centipede in half... One dead... The second one has yet to surface... Sy y1 Moon Hunter HP 35 / 40 Damage 11 - 6 = 5 Charge ?? Lunaire remained in her seat smiling lazily after a brief pat on the cheek and a few light words though she did lean forward and flick Soleil’s ear with a finger for the second born, second best remark. Still she seemed relaxed seeing her sister. “It not my fault, I didn’t set the alarm on this, or the loading time on this game.” She went to say something else but found the words escaped her as she tumbled downward suddenly falling back and seeing the sky before her. She tumbled again and suddenly there was sand and heat. She landed with a THWUMP and quickly started to scramble for her bearings. --- Roland on the other hand was turning to say something to Peyton when he caught wind of Mark mentioning the Sahara and he felt a chill run down his spine. "Um guys I thi-" The words didn't make it past his lips and the world slid sideways and they fell down and into he desert.

"Think I can make a little trophy out of their little pincer things?" It was her just thinking out loud but she honestly couldn't help it.
She wanted to do something with her room to make a little more homey. Even if it went hanging up a few over-sized pincers on her wall.

I can do that too, Anax hissed. The cranky, stolid presence of the weapon felt unusually agitated, and Lin noticed that the runes inscribed on the hammer were glowing brighter and steadier than their usual low pulse. Let me spit!
Spit? Lin could feel what Anax wanted her to do, and she let that sense guide her, pointing the hammer at one of the centipedes. A jet of something purple-white shot out from the hammer's head, striking the bug squarely in the center of its body. It screeched and writhed.

And it was more or less then that Mark walked in and - Oh wow. He actually said Hi to her. Or well. He tried. But since Sherry could actually count the times she'd heard him use her name on one hand she was pretty pleased. She was about ready to say something to him but - Of course he was followed Caelius, which meant hell was about to break loose. "Oh, ********." And then the floor dropped out and there was sand. Sand and bugs.

Lin brought the spikes on top of Anax's head down on the injured centipede. It exploded. There were still more, she realized with some dismay. The explosions were painful, and she was sure that if she let any of them latch on, it would probably hurt more.
