Sailor Aue - Outside the Towerhaving a shite time of it.
He was hurting, he was cranky. He was on some godforsaken alien ******** planet getting hammered by what amounted to a tarbaby doppleganger, and he was d o n edone with this s**t. It seemed the planet itself was also done with this s**t, because as he reached within himself to attack the monster again, he felt a surge of energy bolstering him up and setting his nerve endings alight in a rather pleasant manner.
He'd taken uppers once, it had felt kind of like this - only the planet's magic (if that's what it was) felt far gentler to his system. Aue picked up an exposed stretch of root, ripping it from the loosened soil and wielding it like a club. "Come get some, ********!" Emotions coalesced to something useful and hard as the Senshi brought his makeshift bludgeon down on the creature's head; it was already held together poorly after the acid from his casting had eaten into it, and more pieces came off with each application of root to magically configured 'flesh'.
When he finally stopped to take a breath - and because the root was a mangled bit of nothing - the creature had only a stump of an arm on one side, and the other was slowly falling off, held up only by a disintegrating flap of mottled goop. About ******** time I got a good hit in! "Not so easy to kill as you like, eh!?"
Shang frowned as the monster kept at him. It was literally he felt trying to tear him apart, and he was marginally successful at dodging, the bleeding claw streaks on him aside. His weapon he held like a sword at first, but he wasn't sure his magic would work brandished that way.
He flipped the weapon and lashed out with the weapon focusing on his magic, so that he could channel it. He swung the weapon down on the creature knowing the magic would take effect screwing with the creatures perception of time.
He grinned as his weapon connected with the monsters shoulder, before he pulled it away. He could hear the other knight saying Ida was a floor above them and he felt more focused knowing that. He hoped his friend was alright. They just need to get rid of these monsters so they could get to her.

The longer the battle went on, the more rejuvenated Caia felt. It wasn't quite a second wind, but maybe it just took him a while to get warmed up? He had his doubts when the battle started, but now more than ever, Caia was certain that he could see his battle through to the end. He might not have been a major help in any way, but he wasn't going to have to ask for help.
He could stand his ground (somewhat) and while he was still going to go home with some bruises, if things continued as they were, he was at least going to go home--in one piece, and hopefully having done some good.
Falias, Knight of Earth Location: Outside with Venice & Scholomance and heading towards the tower
Falias did his best to use his staff to try to swing out at the humanoid shape attacking him, but it ended up as being more jab than swing because the length of his staff meant that it wasn't exactly ideal for close quarters.
The sensation of warmth that followed was unexpected, pooling as it did seemingly from the soles of his feet upwards but Falias had enough presence of mind to follow up his initial jab with another jab towards the legs shape attacking him and whilst it wasn't particularly damaging it seemed like it was enough to at least drive the thing back a few steps.
He heardScholomance'svoice from nearby and gave a short nod at the other knight before chancing a quick look atVenice "Okay."
He wasn't expecting the sudden tolling of a bell or the planet to suddenly unravel as trees unravelled to form some sort of.. Of...
Islands seemed the best word for it.
The humanoid figure attacking him swung it's club-like hand towards him and Falias tried his best to get his staff up even though he knew that he wouldn't manage to bring it round in time - knew that the blow was probably going to hurt.
But to his surprise he didn't feel anything as the blow went right through him.
He looked again at Venice as he remembered Scholomance's words.
"The tower" because the other knight was going through a lot of effort to help them and so Falias was in turn going to trust that he would catch up to them.

Chibi Super Sailor Oort Location: Outside with Chaldene and Tomlin
Oort looked atTomlinand nodded "Got it" he said seriously.
Although the ooze-figure thing from before had reached him by then and the club-like arm swinging in his direction meant that Oort couldn't use his magic immediately.
And so instead he kicked out at the thing in an attempt to aim for its shins - because whilst he wasn't sure what effect it would have - he had enough experience to know that being kicked in the shins hurt.
The surge of sudden warmth was unexpected as his foot connected with enough force to make the ooze-thing stumble back and give him the opening that he needed to call on his magic.
Super Key Up!The words that came to his tongue were not the same as the ones that he had been using - but they felt right and so Oort went with it and crossed over to Chaldenebefore turning the ethereal-looking key that had formed as if he was turning it in an invisible lock.
Quote:
Oort's Super attack links on to his Senshi attack and so I've put both below for reference:
Sailor Scout Attack: Key Up! Oort calls on his magic while chanting the name of this attack and the magic forms into a small ethereal-looking ornate key. By standing in front of an ally and turning the key as if in an invisible lock Oort can use this this to give an ally either a strength boost or a speed boost (one or the other and he doesn't get to choose which) of about 15%. Alternatively Oort can use it on himself, but he will only get the speed boost. Duration: Oort has 15 seconds to use the 'key' otherwise the key will disappear. The boost will last for 10 seconds once Oort has used the 'key' Usage amounts: Twice per standard battle, but not on the same person. Additional notes: Only Oort can use the 'key'. The key will disappear if not in Oort's hand(s) (e.g. if dropped).
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Super Key Up! Same verse as the previous attack, however the boost now lasts for 20 seconds.

"Don't worry about me," Quartz called over his shoulder. "Just stay focused. If I turn into a tar zombie, find someone to cry at my funeral."
The creature lurched forward again, intent on a killing blow and wary of a swipe from the spear -- but this time, Quartz changed tactics, ducking low to thrust the spear forward and clean through the monster's chest. It caught and held there, and Quartz leaned in with a hard heft to wrench the monster up into the air . . .
Then, with gravity lending forced to the blow, slammed the enspeared monster back down into the ground, where it finally splattered into so much black mush.
Down for the count.
The two knights seemed to be holding their own. It was Idrialite who needed Quartz's help first, he reasoned.
Scholomance held his magic just long enough to watch Falias escape from the tar creature's attack. Immediately afterward, Scholomance's double landed a strike of its own and sent Scholomance stumbling forward, unable to maintain his cast. A quick lash behind himself proved paltry, but dissuaded the creature from following him so quickly. He ran to keep pace with the other knights, and soon dashed into the largest 'building' on Ida.
They would follow, he realized within, and the knights needed to keep moving.
"Ida?" He called into the darkness. Behind him, his double approached.
Hyperborea, Transcended Knight of the Cosmos- 2nd floor Hyperborea felted the warm power from Ida reinvigorating her again. She moved forward quickly, her strong legs propelled her forward as she delivered a swift hard punch right to the monster's chest. The punch was enough to finish the job as the monster turned back into black mush. What were you? she thought as she looked down at the now lifeless substance.
She took a moment to survey the battlefield, it looked like the captain had already delt with the monster he was fighting and the squire was dealing with his pretty well but the lieutenant seemed to be having some trouble. Ok, I'll help him first and then Ida. She thought as she rushed to his aid.
Venice had just been striking out again at his double, a punch aimed for the chest, when he heard Scholomance and nodded his head in understanding. he would run as soon as he felt it. They had to get to the tree and inside. He didn't know what was going to happen there but it was where they needed to be. Like the Earth knight Venice had not expected the bells sounding nor for islands to form.
The fog on the ground would make tripping on roots a possibility but with nothing running after him he should be ok if he fell, have enough time to get up. The earth knight wasn't the only one attacked by the double they had, he too was...and it went through him. That was very odd but he figured it was Scholomane's magic. Smiling, glad the attack didn't land or it could have seriously hurt his nose, he took the time to look over to Falias before he took off for the big tree.
"We need to get to that tree." He called to the other two, already the cats double would be distracted but now he had another to distract. His hands again came up and formed into the same position as he blew across his finger tips, aiming this time for Oort's double. "Chaldene Wisp's Secret. " He could only hope the two would run, even as he felt something...tingle through him.
Oort had used his magic on Chaldene and the eternal didn't know what it did but he had a feeling he'd find out soon. "Run, while I have them distracted. Go." The words directed to both Tomlin and Oort. "It won't last too long, so let's move." And that was when he found out just what the super senshi's magic had done. He found himself faster as he scooped up the cat, deciding not to wait, and grabbed the chibi's arm to bring them with him.
He was not waiting for to attack his double, his double could follow him for all he cared. He was not expecting however that his double was going to get in his way, as he took the time to grab the younger senshi's arm and pull him along for the run. The glancing blow from his double left a red patch on his cheek, a patch that would bruise soon though how bad he didn't know. It hadn't fully connected as he'd moved to avoid the attack as soon as he'd seen it coming.
Letting go of Oort's arm he returned the fave, striking his own double and then grabbed for the chibi again to get them around his double and back on track. "I say we ignore them for right now, they are keeping us from our goal."

Tomlin can of course escape from Chaldene's clutches. ::insert evil laughter here:: he just wants to hurry them up before his magic wears off..
litian
He can get away from Chaldene at any point. Just figure Chaldene is gonna try and rush them at this point. Chaldene just wants to get to the tower before his magic wears off on the doubles.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Chaldene Wisp's Secret. This attack would go the same as above only this time the attack would last thirty seconds each time it's used and could now be used three times per battle. The significant difference however is that this time a person isn't simply distracted by the wisps appearing and vanishing only to reappear. But they are compelled, by magic and whispered words of encouragement, to look toward the wisps.
The same things can break the spell as before only now when the spell is broken the opponent would feel slightly confused and perhaps even a little disoriented.
Eternal Sailor Athene & Mauvian Liryn Location: Inside a room on the Second Floor with Elvira
Athene had been about to answer Elvira's question and admit that he didn't know where they were, but then one of the humanoid figures was heading his way with oozing black steps and it was surprisingly fast as it swung an arm that suddenly looked razor sharp in his direction.
He shifted backwards and then to the side in an attempt to avoid it and whilst the limited space in the room hampered his movements, Athene was able to just about miss it.
The trailing edge of his sash was not so lucky as jade green fabric fluttered down to the ground.
He heard a sound from Elvira's direction and tried to kick out at the humanoid figure whilst trying hard not to think about just how much it resembled him...
At least a him coated in oozy black..
Well whatever the stuff was.
He felt a strange surge of warmth as his foot connected with the figure and whilst it wan't more than a glancing blow, it was enough to force the thing to stumble back a bit.
======================
"I'm not sure, but I don't think that this is supposed to be normal" Liryn said as he swiped out once again at the humanoid figure attacking him...
The humanoid figure with the insulting feline-like ears that he had mentally dubbed as an insult to all mauvians.
The figure tried to swing an arm that was more like a club at him, but Liryn was slightly faster on his feet as he dodged out of the way of the arm, before raking his clawed hand at the look-a-like insult to mauvians causing it to stumble back.
"But I don't think we'll have a problem Elvira" he continued as he stalked forward to press his advantage "Not with the three of us working together."
And whilst he did have the kitty beam if it came to it, Liryn currently didn't think it likely that it was something that he would have to resort to - because the humanoid things - whatever they were - were clearly inferior to the real thing.

Falias, Knight of Earth Location: Entering Tower with Venice & following after Scholomance
Despite the sudden strangeness of his surroundings the path forwards towards the 'tower' - aka the big tree - had been surprisingly clear.
It was surprising given the way how the fog pooled under his feet and the weird floating tree islands but Falias ran with it.
He was within a few foot lengths of what appeared to be an entrance when his surroundings suddenly shifted again..
Or perhaps is was more accurate to say that his surroundings righted and he found himself close to the entrance of some sort of lobby.
There were footsteps behind him and not just ofVenice, Falias sparing a quick head turn in time to catchScholomanceas the other knight dashed past them and into the 'lobby'...
And behind him followed the humanoid figures from before.
One peeled off to head in his direction and Falias recognised it as the one that had attacked him earlier - but Scholomance's magic had allowed him to put some distance between it and himself which meant that he was able to jab his staff out at the thing to slightly better effect.
He turned as the thing stumbled before dashing after Scholomance, although Falias had the sinking feeling that the thing would continue to follow.
