It's a life I'll never be able to live, but its appeal is obvious nonetheless" A soft sigh escaped his lips as he took another sip, savoring the flavor this time before swallowing the alcohol. He turned to Tsukina, meeting her eyes with his own. When he spoke, he did so in a low voice, hardly above a whisper"It's time, Tsukina. I need you. I'm not sure what Horace is planning, but it's big and it's happening soon. I've grown stronger since we last met, but even I cannot take down the whole of the UHV's leadership" As the door to the restaurant opened, Belamos glanced over his shoulder and raised an eyebrow as Chigiri entered. Turning to look over his shoulder, he would nod his head to her "Surprised you found me. Where's Jenna?" He called out to his student. As he turned back to his table, he looked to Tsuki, scrunched up his face a little and shook his head, as if to tell her not to worry about the newcomer "Just a Student of mine" He told the older woman.

Let out a sigh as the delicious flavor of her meal seemed to lose its flavor upon hearing his words. She knew full well upon seeing him that it was most likely time for the coup, though she wished she had more time. The carefree life she herself had built, was soon to be shattered by the clash of battle. Taking a sip of her wine she nodded simply,"I'm sure your assessment is accurate but it does not change the facts or the numbers. Even with the two of us, how many do you actually have? Because killing Horace wont even come close to being enough. The UHV is a hydra. You kill one head and three more will pop up. Your going to need an army and to my knowledge you dont possess one." Lightly turning her hand she continued,"Secondly, I will admit, I've grown a bit rusty. My body has gotten soft and squishy in my time off the battlefield. That being said, what is your time frame? A week? A month?"
Belamos smiled. She raised fair points, and truthfully he didn't have an answer for all of them, but that didn't stop what was coming "You're right, we dont have the numbers. I plan to meet with the Kage of the world and speak with them. Together, you and I, we will represent the Free People that are subjugated under UHV Rule. As for your current state, well, I'm sure with a proficient training partner you will get back into shape in no time. As it stands, you're still the most dangerous woman I've ever had the pleasure of meeting"

His idea to speak to the kage was a double edged sword, one she doubted he considered both sides of. Though his flattery was appreciated. Giving a soft chuckle she shook her head,"Then you've clearly not been paying much attention. But thats neither here nor there." As she spoke her expression changed to one of much greater seriousness,"Going to the kage is going to bite you in the a**. You think the kage, whos lands and people have been slaughtered, raped, tortured, and ravaged, are just going to be happy with Horace's death? They are going to want to wipe that village off the face of the planet. Tactically speaking its understandable. Both their desire for vengeance and ease of conquest. Why risk hundreds of lives occupying the city when you can just blow it up?"
He downed his glass, feeling the softest onsets of the alochol beginning to effect him. Belamos nodded as Tsukina spoke. She wasn't wrong, then again, she didn't seem to get the whole picture "That's just WHY we have to go see them Tsukina. We need to show these leaders that there are people who live under UHV rule who are different- those of us who rebel! They will eventually overcome Horace, but not until a long and bloody conflict is held. A conflict that will destroy our homes. We need to go and prevent that! Unite the Kage and guide them in a way that spares our people"

🎀 Chakra: 240/255 🎀Stamina: 221/245 🎀Ryu: 0 Jenna had quickly replaced her clothes with the same set, wearing the same blue and white top with a blue skirt, having two of the same set in case something like this would ever happen again. Of course she hid in a bush so no one could see, but that also left her a little behind Chigiri. Still, she managed to catch up just in time as she reached the barracks, standing out to lookout for Belamos. "Maybe he's shrouding himself in a bunch of women?" Jenna would chuckle to herself, as Chigiri was speaking of finding the flames the guy uses in order to find him more properly. She was honest to god glad she had a partner as nice as Chigiri and Kuro, that kind of thing was pretty difficult to find in the big world nowadays. She was a lot of fun on missions, and defiantly extremely reliable when it came to kicking a**, plus there jutsu seemed to work effectively with one another! She couldn't help but stand and admire Chi-chan's new look, she looked so amazing with the way she did her hair, and her new attire! However, with her staring she wasn't paying attention to much else, other than following closely behind. Jenna heard a voice ringing out towards Chigiri, it must of been Belamos voice meaning he was nearby. He was with one other girl too once her eyes drifted over there, not surprising since what Chi-chan told her, but didn't look like any womanizing was happening so that was good. "I'm herrre!" Jenna would shout excitedly, popping out from behind Chigiri so she could properly be seen as he asked where she was. The two higher ups were having some long conversation, unsure of what really but not her business to butt in. She'd wait patiently beside Chigiri and Kuro, as for what was to be said during the meeting.

Chigiri's mouth was hidden by her high collar, as per usual, when outside of the Village, usually because she did her best to remain inconspicuous or at the very least, hard to recognize in general. Though, Belamos' words with Tsukina simply caused her nose to wrinkle as the plan seemed terribly grandiose and completely illogical to her. This had to be him trying to impress a lady, but rather than C-block her sensei, she simply kept quiet until Jenna popped up behind her and announced her presence. "Seems like you've been busy, Belamos-sensei. I must say, finding you is actually quite easy... almost predictable, if you want my honesty. If you were trying to hide, you're bad at this.", the raven haired girl said with a tsk to the end of her sentence. It was almost as if she were expecting some sort of challenge.
While Chigiri spoke, Kuro lay draped over her shoulder, the rabbit watching everything around them and listening for any disturbances that might need her companion to be alert to. "Anyway, you should honestly cut out the drinking and switch to some greasy food. We need you lucid... Though if you want honesty, you're hardly in a secure place to be speaking like that. I'd advise a more discrete location when plotting a coup de tat' and all that jazz.", Chigiri grumbled before folding her arms. The rabbit nodding in agreement with it's owners words.

Belamos sighed and turned away from Tsukina and towards his students. Even with his new found patience, Chigiri seemed determined to test him with her impertinence. He gestured to Tsukina, the woman sitting next to him "Jenna, Chigiri, this is Tsukina, the owner of this establishment. Believe me, there is no safer place to be in all of Takumi than right here" Belamos stood now, towering over the two younger women who he was responsible for "I heard your mission was a success, and I predicted there may have been more too it than meets the eye. Unsurprisingly, I was correct. You both worked together well to defeat an enemy neither one of you could have done individually. I am pleased with your growth. I will see to it that you are both rewarded." He brushed a strand of red hair out from his eye as he continued "Furthermore, about this business you overheard me mentioning, well now it seems like you have a choice to make. The UHV will inevitably lose in a war against the Villages, which side do you want to be on when that conflict arises?"

🎀 Chakra: 250/255 🎀Stamina: 230/245 🎀Ryu: 0 Jenna completely agreed with Chigiri in her general awareness that this of all places might be better left unsaid outside of public with the ongoing conversation. However, she'd slightly nod in agreement to her partner, staring towards Belamos as he pointed out the girl whom he was with. The female seemed really strong, and to own such a place, cool! She couldn't help but to wonder if the girl was rich, though she was certain Belamos would only see her for her beauty most certainly. That is to say if he was womanizing, maybe he wasn't, who even knows! Though if she caught the guy trying to womanize another girl, she'd have to speak very firmly to him about that! "We fought a big blob, and an old fart, wow what a rush it was!! Chi-chan is the best!" She would grin widely, admitting aloud to really enjoying her partners company, she really just got caught up in the direct cheery moment. Although, the happy moment kind of subsided upon Belamos asking a serious question that would silence her a bit, but not too much. "Hey the old fart was talking about the same thing, these UHV people sound awful and totally not fun at parties." Jenna would look between the girly owner, Belamos, and Chigiri upon the decisions. "I'm just going to stop talking now." She would state awkwardly, not wanting to interrupt Chi-chan's question and all that needed to be said. It wasn't really in her place to say anything since she had zero knowledge of that topic and the question seemed to be pointed at Chigiri.
"Alrighty then. I suppose you all can find somewhere to sit while I go to procure food, then." He would turn on his heels stretching his arms towards the sky and allowing some of his joints to pop, as if he hadn't done so just a few minutes prior. He found his way back to the backpack he had come with near the front of the room, listening to what was being discussed by Tsuki and her friend on the way past, and threw a shirt on over his tank top. He hadn't sweat all that much and didn't too much look like he was running low on any of his resources yet. Following a quick application of deodorant just in case, his attention fell towards Tsuki once more. "Sorry to interrupt," he called out to her. "Um, could I have three bowls of teriyaki chicken and some fried rice? Also... are we not allowed to partake in the spirits?" he would ask pointing his clasped hands toward the bar itself. "I happen to have worked as a bartender in times gone by, so I'd like to think my habits are pretty well checked. Oh, and we're all of legal age so don't worry about that."

Rinka took a quick step back as Tsuki crushed her glass to dust. She'd never seen Tsuki so angry, then again she'd only known the woman a short while. Tsuki being a firecracker wasn't completely outside the realm of possibilities. The young Oni girl stayed silent as the older Swordmaiden got up and made her way out of the room. Normally she'd follow along like a puppy, mindlessly clinging to its master's side, but she could read a room. Instead, she'd just shift her gaze to the one who made Tsuki so angry. In her usual attempts to seem intimidating, Rinka would simply glare at Belemos, though her mask would cover most of her expression.

Chigiri's reaction to the events as they played out was hard to read as her mouth was hidden by her outfit. Her eyes did narrow briefly as Tsukina crushed the glass and her hand shifted to her sword. Her hand rested on the pommel of the twin-bladed Katana idly as she watched the woman outburst about the fact the other Villages simply wanted extermination, and stalked off. "I'm with you all the way, Sensei. We may not agree on everything, but my loyalty to you is unquestionable...", she said simply and her rabbit nodded in approval.
Then something caught the eye of Chigiri, Rinka's glare at Belamos. "Hey, unless you got something to say to Belamos-sensei. You better wipe that look out of your eyes or I'll simply beat it out of them.", she said plainly to the Oni clan member who felt like she could give her rival and mentor the evil eye. "Best run along and bow your head in shame, punk.", she said as a smirk behind the mask-like collar of her top seemed to cause the fabric to ripple. The gleam in her eyes only alluded to the fact that she hoped that Rinka gave her an excuse to try to dissect her then and there.
Chigiri had no idea if Belamos or Jenna would support her defense of the latter's honor, but she did not care either. She was an immigrant from Iron Country, and anyone who showed disrespect to a person under the watch and care of the yakuza family, Sonozaki, was worthy of the contempt and harsh words...possibly even a beating.

Belamos kept his eyes on the Queen of Blades as she spoke, despite her anger and her proximity to her blades, he knew she would never harm a guest under her roof, let alone him. She liked to act aloof, but he knew there were some rules that she would simply not break. So he watched as she spat harsh words at him- the fire of her anger fueled by his own beliefs. Past that thought. Was that fear? He suspected so. He couldn't be sue what she was scared of though. Fear that she would die? Fear that he would and she wouldn't? Or maybe it was just fear that he was right, and the future was now clear in its degree of difficulty for them both.
In the days of old his wrath would have exploded out like a supernova. His idea of royalty and pride would not have allowed himself to be spoken to this way. Now things were different. He wasn't angry, he just needed her to see. To stop being blinded by anger and fear and hatred. "Tsukina" It was spoken with a bolder inflection, the faintest hint of his former bravado creeping into the words, hoping to stop the woman before she made for her exit "You're...right. I can give the leaders of the world no better reason than to spare the Citizens of Otogakure a fiery demise other than 'it is right.' But don't you see, it is precisely FOR that reason that I must do this!" He would walk towards her, slowly taking steps "They don't care about the people. They think we support and love the UHV. I have to show them that isn't the case. That there are those among us who fight, who rebel! People like you, Tsukina" He was closer now, but moving more slowly. It was as if he was approaching a dangerous animal, one that might strike at any moment "I have nothing to lose but my life, and if I am tossed aside like a tool to save the people of Otogakure then I will made that trade. A King protects his people- it is his primary goal. I will do this without you if I must..." He was an arms length away now. He was almost holding his breath in suspense "...but I do not want to. You told me before that I had a long way to go to live up to my potential and you were right. You...temper my judgement. We can't fight for blood or out of hatred anymore- it just brings more back in return. We have to fight to protect those who can't protect themselves. It's what we do as Shinobi...but more importantly..." Time to take the plunge. He extended an arm, placing a hand on her shoulder "It's what a Queen would do" His eyes met hers. Warm, bright yet oddly sad. He was worried this would be too much. This would be what sent her scurrying to her dojo, ne'er to return. Time would tell. She had once told him she was a noblewoman, and he hoped, at heart, she still was.

Rinka stifled a giggle at Chigiri's brazen comments. The girl certainly was loyal, but to what end? Unquestionable loyalty might as well have been blind devotion to Rinka, and it was to Belemos at that? It made sense that one obnoxious firebrand would attract another as their student. The oni's head tilted slightly to the right like a puppy, curiously trying to figure out what that strange noise it just heard was. "Not a punk..." she'd mundanely reply. A trademarked short response from Rinka, but she couldn't deny a little bit of the brevity was to see if she could push the girl's buttons.
