Subamara bit her lip, and then regretted it. The stuff was still on her face. If the walk across the platform hadn’t made it clear how badly the chocolate senshi was hurt, his disjointed speech definitely did. He did not sound okay, and she mentally added ‘first aid courses’ to the list of things she needed to look into. Surely DCU offered something like that? She stooped down to keep hold of his hand as he slid worryingly to the ground.

“You’ve helped plenty already. You did good!” she assured him as he powered down into a younger teen, in rollerskates of all things. “You were going to skate on the subway?” she asked, just to keep him talking. “Do you have other shoes?”

Somewhere beyond the pillar, the sounds of metal in collapse told her there was nothing else to be done by any of them. Please, she thought, please let everyone have gotten out.

She could sense no chaos-auras near their pillared hiding place, or moving in their direction. This was probably as safe as they were going to get. She let her own henshin drop, the glamour leaving her cleaner but even more exhausted. As Gigi, she dropped to her knees beside the boy, not caring about her clothes. The little floral dress was old, and she was wearing flats - they had no chance to survive the hike through the turnstiles. Youma-bile was already seeping in. She accepted it like disgusting camouflage. She dropped her heavy backpack with more care in what looked like the least-coated part of their corner. Her decks weren’t cheap, but all the cards were in plastic protectors, so it was probably fine. People were more important than her stupid cards.

How long before the medics deemed it safe to come in to them, she wondered? There was no way she could carry him if he couldn’t walk. He wasn’t chibi-young, but clearly still a kid. But age wasn’t a factor when it came to magic. He’d been more useful than her, at any rate.

“I‘ll wait with you, okay? I’m Gigi. Do you have a phone? Can I call someone for you?”

Not sure if you wanted to leave them here, or have them exit out the turnstiles. Either is fine with me. smile

Mont Blonc struggled against Devilline's grip at first, because no, no he couldn't let himself get pulled away. He knew this was dangerous, he knew these people far outmatched him, but -- what was he supposed to do? Just walk away and let them take Ploutonion again? How was he supposed to do that? Still, he flashed the lieutenant the briefest, passing looks of apology before he released the squire, and Mont Blonc stepped forward again, only to be shoved hard by the captain who'd taken his starseed, palm flat against the chest he'd dipped into last time to fish out his lifesource.

The squire stumbled back, teetering at the edge of the platform, and only there in that moment did he catch another pair of eyes of him. A woman, the one who felt to be a general, watching him cooly for a moment before uttering a complete mockery of his plea to the man that'd once been a friend, once been the only other page of Saturn he'd known. His stomach twisted, and he paled at Umber's harsh words to Ploutonion, at the way the woman touched him. Something about her, especially the way she looked at him, frightened him immensely.

Most of all at the look Ploutonion flashed him just before he was whisked away with them. It would be something new to haunt him, the helplessness he felt at that moment, the way Ploutonion flinched under her touch and shook his head. His knees buckled, a wave of anguish rising and falling in him like a tide, his eyes burning and his hands curling into loose fists at his sides - in one hand was still the shreds of the captain's coat, damp with melted snow. An upgrade had come. He was stronger. But not enough, it just wasn't enough to chance a damned thing.

He turned back to Devilline, trying to blink back tears and standing tall, trying to keep himself together. "I - I know you you meant me no h-harm, and I'm sorry. I'm sorry I yelled at you, I'm sorry I did not explain, " he choked out, his voice tight. "I know you're not - you're not like them, I - I know you didn't mean for this to - listen, I - I don't know you, but you're making a mistake." And he took a step towards the younger man, and this time, placed a hand on his shoulder, meeting his gaze. "I don't know you. I don't know your story. But, please - please - get away from those people while you can. You owe nothing to me, but please, do it for yourself."

He pursed his lips and tried to smile. "I can tell you're not a bad person, I - you deserve better. Please. At least consider it. I could help you. Walk away while you can."

The squire made as though to pull away, letting his hand drop - but did think to add, quietly, "I'm Mont Blonc, by the way. Page - I - I suppose Squire now, of Saturn. I never did get your name?"

Oh no. Was this guy gonna start crying? Nooooooooooo. No that would be bad. Crying cute people were kryptonite for Devilline. ....Well more so then cute people in general. Oh god please don't cry. Poor b*****d.... He definitely wasn't expecting his day to got this way. "Look kid. You were protecting a friend. I get it. Anyone would do the same thing. You could have gotten yourself in a lot of trouble by doing that though..." What would this guy had done if someone had forced a corruption on him? Or worse.

"You're right..." He said slowly. "You don't know me, and you don't know my story. So how do you know I'm making a mistake? Just because this doesn't work for you, doesn't mean that it can't work for me. If I'm making a mistake, don't you think I should make that mistake in order to learn?" It made sense to him. "I need to do, what I have to do. If that means making mistakes, so be it."

As Monty stepped back, Devilline followed him, leaning forward to kiss him on the cheek lightly. "So pleeeeeease don't cry Hotstuff.. It's a weakness okay. Well, that and cute people so you're like a double threat right now." Awkward? This? Nooooo. Well not for Devil anyway, he couldn't vouch for the squire. "Devilline. But for reals? We should probably get outta here."

Havasu chuckled and winced as the laughter made his head throb. "Yeah I think a hose would be a good idea." He glanced down as his nasty uniform and added, "Don't suppose I can just burn this outfit can I? Either that or I'll have to seriously tip the guys who clean it when it goes wherever it goes once we power down." Except for a few patches on his vest he was pretty well covered in the goo and missing his hat which meant his hair was covered in the gunk as well. As he took in the damage to his outfit Havasu winced, "Uh... I was planning on picking you up from the station with mom's car. I think we kinda need to change plans cuz," he gestured to their dirty outfits. "yeah. Don't think this stuff will clean out of the seats all that easily."

"Advil... lots and lots of advil would be nice." He smiled softly at her touch and made a face hoping to get a laugh out of her. Since the main danger was clear the sense of urgency was fading from him but as Havasu sensed chaotic auras fading he realised that it was time for them to split as well. "I'm glad Mercy is safe. I'm glad you both are safe," He nodded towards the senshi in the red military inspired uniform. If Phact said Mercy was safe then the young girl was, even if Havasu wanted to gather the two up and get the hell out of dodge because he was so done with the subway system. "Totally agree that it's time we split but definitely not in the car... I really don't want to explain the mess to my folks." He grimaced at the mere thought of trying to come up with an excuse for the mess the three of them would make in his mom's immaculately clean car. "Hell, don't even think a taxi would take us."

Havasu's thoughts of heading out were quickly squashed when the other senshi mentioned looking for her cousin. He didn't really want to stay but he wasn't about to leave anyone behind, especially someone who helped Phact out. "Was he on the train with you? What does he look like? Come on, I'm sure we can find him." He waved off her thanks about the ride, it never occurred to him that the drum majorette in front of him might be someone he knew as a civilian let alone the young kid he had come to pick up dealer before all hell broke loose. His head might have been spinning but he wasn't going to leave anyone behind in this hellhole since the train and platform had claimed enough lives today. If they can locate just one more person still breathing Havasu would be happy.

When she corrupted senshi had stepped off the first train car she had looked back at it before looking out to the platform filled with people and chaos all around. All those auras and all those people all around fighting. It was very new for her to see so many people, both on her side and on the other, perhaps this was diving into the deep end of the pool? She had been there for New Years, though late, but she hadn't done much there even if there had been a lot of people there. That was a larger place so everything thinned out, spread out over more space, perhaps that was why she felt rather lost and didn't know where to jump in and what to do. Perhaps it was having been trapped on a train turned youma? She really didn't know but she'd suddenly felt rather lost.

Her hair, long and dark pink in color, had dragged across the sticky and messy ground (oh god it was icky) as she moved around people trying to avoid the nastier looking things going on. She really felt out classed with some of the auras hitting her senses. Princesses, she'd heard about them, and that was far more than she could handle and more than she wished to face.

It seemed time went by so fast and before she knew it people were leaving, running out of the underground, and bodies were on the floor along with the mess that the train had made earlier. She saw people vanishing, teleporting, and decided to run into the crowd of escaping civilians and power down while tucked away in the safty of the civilian mass as it would be hard for anyone to see her. She knew she was taking a massive risk but it was one she was willing to take in order to flee before cops or anyone else could grab her. She hadn’t seen much at the new years event and she certainly hadn’t seen any bodies so this was new for her – new and shocking. She really wasn’t sure what to think of this. She knew the senshi were in the wrong and needed to be dealt with, removed, but to hurt innocent people? How many had been children? She didn’t know and the idea did bother her, they at least should not have been taken from in this event. The purse of starseeds she had would be turned in, later of course, but she still knew she had a duty to perform and turning in the starseeds was her duty. She knew none of the ones she had belonged to any children; she tried not to think of how many of the owners had children. She really didn’t think she could handle that or think about it.

As she joined the crowd of people fleeing she was able to bend down, whilst moving still, and power down before popping back up with much shorter hair and in a nice sari as she hurried out of the underground and figuring her starseeds delivered, since the purse had vanished, she made for home. She would need some time.

Somewhere along the way Delphi had wandered, or maybe she'd gotten jostled and pushed enough, that she had separated from the little group she'd been with. She remembered that Squire of Pluto running off and than...well she became separated from the group, and she hadn't a clue how. All the chaos going on had been too much even for her to keep track of and thus she was clueless as to how it had happened.

She however knew people were fleeing, teleporting, and over all just leaving. So it was with a look around, hoping to catch sight perhaps of her princess, that Delphi not seeing Polaris decided it was best to get out of here - the smell was really churning her stomach. Ducking behind a pillar fast she was able to power down before moving to join the crowd of people exiting as the sound of sirens hit her ears, lovely. She really hoped she could get away before they arrived and started to detain and question people. She didn't care much for being held back from getting home, and taking a much needed shower. She didn't care to stick around and rehash what had just happened either, it was a lot on the gory side and putting distance between herself and the stink and the scene of gore down there was a priority at the moment. She'd contact Polaris later and let her know that she was safe, perhaps she should make something for the other and bring it over?

Stepping onto pavement the dark haired girl hurried off hoping to not be seen by cops and stopped and questioned, although she did wonder what they would make of the mess down there...it was certainly something...and she wasn't jealous of their job at all; not in this city.

As it happened Caramel had missed the Squire's earlier pronouncements about being Mistral, by virtue of not even being by the office at that point.

It wouldn't have made any difference to her though as it wasn't as if she was aware of the fact that the name had any significance - after all the name wasn't even in the database.

Perhaps it should have been, along with the words 'closet psycho'...

Perhaps, but any updating would have to be from someone other than Caramel, since had she but known it she was about to become indisposed - permanently.

It had happened quickly, Caramel still trying to figure out what the Squire had meant by nailing herself to a cross.

Her eyes had widened as it clicked but too late, no time to reach for the crystal that was so close in her trouser pocket..

No time either to call for help either as the incoming fire extinguisher loomed large in her vision.

There was a explosion of pain and then there was nothing as Caramel dropped.

This girl with him was just too sweet. Maybe she should have been the Senshi of Chocolate. He could have been the bitter little jerk of a Coffee senshi instead.. She was too nice, and still held his hand. The world was getting cozier and cozier by the moment.

"Oh.. Right.." He looked down at his feet, moving them a little. Atleast those were still in working order. "I was on my way to see my little cousin. I had skates on to.. Better avoid him. Hehe.. He's such a little dickbag but it makes my mom happy."

If there was any reason to keep his eyes open, it was to continue to look at this pretty girl infront of him. she was so worried. His mom would probably look the same way too. It was such a shame about her clothes though. Nasty a** goop everywhere pretty much ruined it, he was sure.

"Hi Gigi.. I'm Benji.. Yeah, I'll call them.. It's okay." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a surprisingly not broken phone. It took only a few moments to call, hear panic and then promply hanging up the phone. He had informed his other of which hospital he was going to be taken to, and to not be in a rush since it was likely to be jam packed. Of course she wouldn't listen but that's not the worst thing in the world.

"Thanks for staying with me, Gigi.. I'm sure the medics will be here soon. We'll be fine, just fine.. Yeah."

The lieutenant dropped like a stone. Mistral hadn't known she had it in her. "s**t," she said. With emergency services showing up, she wasn't going to stick around and make sure that she was or wasn't dead. It didn't matter, anyway. Mistral had just been looking for a way out, and there'd been stuff said about her starseed, and--

It was self-defense, okay, she thought, swallowing bile as she stepped over the lieutenant's unmoving form. All that over a fire-extinguisher, and a fairly pointless one now that the fire department and the cops had arrived. She wasn't going anywhere near that burning train now, that was for sure.

So she did the rational thing: she ditched it on a bench and got the hell out of dodge. After this, what she really wanted more than anything was a long, hot shower.

"True enough." She mused as Harmonia mentioned the power boost, nodding a little as the other girl mentioned not getting to use her power often. She recalled back in her early days when she used to brainstorm which senshi she thought should patrol together and whose powers would compliment each other. Perhaps it was a type of thinking that she would have to do again. Well, that was if their were any new senshi willing enough to listen to the advice and direction of someone like her.

The eternal senshi was snapped out of her thoughts when Harmonia mentioned the time, and how worried her parents would be. "Of course, have a safe trip home!" She called out as she lifted her hand in her own wave. When she got home she'd have to make note to hunt down the other girl again at some point - along with Delphi, who her eyes couldn't find as she gazed across the platform.

Before long a familiar voice touched her ears, and the only thing that kept her from immediately throwing her arms around his neck was the gunk she was obviously slathered in. And the fact that he'd already mentioned feeling icky.

As he shifted to his smaller form Polaris crouched, lifting him from the burning disgusting mess that covered the floor. Her arms crossed, offering him a platform to lounge on that wasn't necessarily buried in the goopy mess of her hair. "We're both having a bath when we get home. Because I'm not cleaning this stuff off the sheets and floor tommorrow." She stated matter of factly. But there was no real sternness on her face, only relief. There was no way to assess how much damage had been done, how many lives had been lost on that day. But they had saved some and, even if it was selfish of her, Snowball had made it out alright too. It was a victory in her book.

"Poor dear.." She regarded in thought of the senshi who had the misfortune of awakening during the whole mess. She'd definitely go with Snowball if he wanted, knowing full well how jumbled and confusing things could get in such large and chaotic battles.

As they neared a particularly dark corner Polaris took the moment to power down before making her way out tiredly up the slowly thinning out subway stairs. Her plans for the day were completely forgotten. Baths and naps were in order.

Gigi smiled and nodded sympathetically, thinking of her own little cousin. Annoying but cute. At least she hadn’t been out on the subway today. As far as Gigi knew. And she wished she hadn’t had that thought, but they’d done everything they could. She would need to ring her own family once she was sure Benji was okay. One thing at a time.

He was still hanging in there, and sounded more steady now they were sitting down, even if it was right in the stinky goop. It was kind of reassuring that he was still okay enough to phone home himself. Maybe his wound looked worse than it was. And teenagers were pretty tough. His poor mother, though, she thought as she heard half the conversation. It sounded like Benji was a bit of a trouble-maker, and she could imagine him skating rings around the house or something.

“No problem,’ she said. “It’s no trouble at all. As long as you need.”

She shifted her position so she could peek around the pillar. The crowd at the turnstiles had thinned right down, and she thought she could see uniforms – not their type of magical uniforms, normal everyday ones. But she wasn’t going to relax until traffic through the turnstiles started coming the other way, until she could flag down a paramedic to really check Benji was as fine as he said. She wasn’t going to let go.

Subamara out.
