 "He wont mind, after all, they are here for guests to use, and you are a guest here." Kai said before he slipped off the bed. "Yes, each of us is different. Just like people you could say. My mother's tail is blue (?) while mine is silver. Ive not met anyone with my color tail before actually." Looking to Alvin, Kai smiled again. "If you wish to swim now, I can get you the swimsuit you need. Im sure my father will want to make everyone something to eat too."

 Alfred (Alvin) MathisThat was cool to know. Alvin got off the bed after Kai, stretching a bit. "I can't wait to see the others then. I'm guessing silver is rare? I can imagine it being rare iypf you've never met anyone else with silver scales." So, Vladimir really could cook. That was...probably because of his family, right? "Should we eat before or after we swim?"

Kai had never thought of that before. He had just assumed that he had never seen anyone with that color tail because he hadn't run into that many merfolk before. "I guess that's true. Ive never really noticed it to be honest." When asked about the food Kai thought. "Well, it is a while before we will eat, if we go swimming now the food will be done when we finish. We could wait if you want and look around the rest of the castle if you like."

Alfred (Alvin) MathisAlvin smiled a bit before thinking. "Let's swim first. I....I really don't have anymore interest in touring the castle." Vladimir sort of ruined that. He didn't blame him, knowing he was only doing what he had to do so he could get Kai back. But, still! He could have just said he wanted to talk to him instead of manipulating him like he did. "So, where I can get the swim trunks?"

Kai nodded. "Alright, swimming it is!" He opened the door leading out of his room and waited for his new friend to follow him. "We keep the spare clothing in some of the guest rooms. I don't think we restocked the room your in, but the one next to it should still have some in it." Sure enough the room next to Alvin's had some swim trunks in one of the dressers. "Here we go. These look like they would fit you. If you want you can change in this room or your own."

Alfred (Alvin) MathisAlvin smiled a bit and followed Kai to the bedroom, where he picked out a simple pair of grey trunks. "I'll just change in the bathroom here. I'll be right back." Alvin went to the bathroom and changed, putting his clothes on over his trunks until they got to the beach. He...really didn't want to be mostly nude around Vladimir and Sal. It just seemed...weird.

the gothic beauty 2 Kai waited for Alvin to change before the other teen came out in his clothes. He looked a bit confused for a moment before he realized why the other was still dressed. "Ready?" He asked before he grabbed some towels and started for the door. "I think swimming on the property is best for today, well the private beach anyways." Kai made his way down to the white sandy beach and smiled. The dolphins were still there and he could make out the tall tail signs of other merfolk. "Well, your in luck. Seems a few mer people are swimming with the dolphins." Kai didn't think about slipping out of his clothing and getting into the water his tail forming when he was deep enough. "If you want, I can swim you over to the group? Or I can have a dolphin bring you?"

Alfred (Alvin) MathisFollowing Kai down to the beach, Alvin smiled a bit before looking over when the other said there were merfolk around. He then got out of his clothes and the brunette blushed heavily as he looked away. Alvin only looked over when he was sure Kai was deep enough in the water. Him or a dolphin? He wasn't sure which one seemed better. "Maybe you should? Unless I should wait here so you can tell them I'm safe?" He didn't want to scare the other merfolk.

the gothic beauty 2  "Alright, well your going to need to hold on to me if I'm bringing you over." He said before shaking his head. "They know your with me, no one will be afraid of you Alvin, I promise." He said thinking that's what the teen meant by safe. "After all, your my friend, and I trust you, they should see that your not a threat when we swim out there." A few of the males spotted Kai and Alvin and swam closer. They both had bluish green tails and waved when Kai was close enough. "Who is the land dweller?" The older one asked followed by the second asking. "Where did you find him? Didn't think Vlad cared for you socializing with humans." Kai looked to the two before he spoke. "His name is Alvin, and he is my friend it's all you need to know." Kai gave the two a small glare the tips of his fangs showing slightly to show he didn't want either pulling any kind of pranks on Alvin.

Alfred (Alvin) MathisAlvin held onto Kai as they swam over to the merfolk. Two of hem met them halfway and spoke to Kai. And, Kai seemed...a bit protective. These two weren't going to hurt him, were they? "Uh....Hi." Zero points for a memorable greeting. He just didn't know what to say.

Kai looked to Alvin as the guy said hi. The two mermen laughed at Kai's veiled threat. "Seems you found your other half. Shame, I heard you were supposed to have something arranged." Kai looked at the two and shook his head. "That wouldn't happen and you both know it. Now knock it off and stop being jerks." Of all the merfolk to run into it had to be them. He had rejected the advances of the older male but didn't think he held it against him. "Well Alvin, want to swim with the dolphins? They should be friendlier then these two at the moment."

Alfred (Alvin) MathisHuh? An arranged marriage?...Alvin couldn't picture Vladimir agreeing to that. Arranged marriages were cruel, and sometimes didn't turn out well for one or both spouses. Why would he risk it? "Huh? Oh, sure. I'd love to play with the dolphins." So, who were these two? Kai clearly didn't get along with them all that well and wanted to get away.

Kai seemed relieved when Alvin agreed to play with the dolphins. He swam with his friend to the small pod before slowing. "Im sorry about them. Aspen, the first male to speak can get jealous." He let out a sigh before smiling as one of the dolphins bumped into Alvin. Kai was happy that the mermen had taken the hint and left them alone. "My father wouldn't go for an arranged marriage, just so you know. He had been in one a long time ago and knows what issues it can create."

Alfred (Alvin) MathisSo, that merman liked Kai? He didn't sound very appealing....Jealousy was fine, but notjoking about an arrangement that never was. "Yeah. Vladimir doesn't seem like that kind of father. Not even my dad would have....Never mind." It dawned him very quickly that the only reason his dad wouldn't have agreed to any sort of relationship was because he didn't want Alvin to leave his collection. It had nothing to do with protecting him or making him happy. A dolphin bumped up against him again and Alvin tilted his head. "That's not an aggressive sign, is it? It just wants to play? Er....Swim?" How did you even play with a dolphin?

Kai smiled at the dolphin and used his hand to push gently on the nose. "He wants to play tag with you it seems. If you swim he will chase you, and once your tagged he will swim away. If you want, I can see if I can find a toy for you to play with. They like all kinds of games, a bit like kids I think." Meanwhile back at the castle, Vladimir started to make a traditional Arabor meal, deciding that he needed to make something that Alvin would like and would hopefully make him feel more comfortable with. "Sal, would you go pick some of your fresh herbs? I thought I would make something comforting for Alfred... Alvin."
