Natalia next spotted an evolution of Clamperl, a Huntail, and this one was feisty. She struggled to grab it because every time she brought her net near, it would try and snap at it. Eventually though, Natalia was able to scoop it up and into her bag of water. She really needed to think of what she was going to do with all these small pokemon though... Obviously they couldn't stay in this bag of water forever, they needed clean water, food, the works.
Meanwhile flora was trying, and failing to pop balloons at the dart booth, only managing to pop two of the ten possible balloons, and earning herself a measly two tickets. So much for earning Natalia a ton of tickets while she fished up pokemon....

Natalia figured if she already had the Huntail and the Clamperl, then she may as well complete the evolutionary line and grab a Gorebyss as well. Plus the pink fish was quite pretty and would make a nice addition to her collection. She scooped up the pokemon with ease. But seriously, where was she going to end up putting all of these pokemon?!
Meanwhile Flora was raging again at the ring toss station, purposefully missing every ring and just blowing off some steam by hurling every ring as far as she possibly could, earning her a consolation prize of two tickets.

Natalia next set her sights on some colorful little jellyfish pokemon, Frillish to be exact. There was a male and female, blue and pink respectively, and Natalia wanted them both, not just one or the other. So, she buckled down, and fished them each out to add to her collection. Maybe once they were out of Tanabata, Natalia could get them a proper fish tank. She also recalled a fish tank back in her old room, but grimaced at the thought of ever going back to that old summer home.

Oooh, Natalia really had to get a Horsea too, it was so tiny and adorable! She easily fished it out and into her bag. A thought then occurred to her while she was thinking about the aquarium in her old summer home. These were pokemon right? Tiny, yes, but they were still pokemon. Maybe she could contact Alphonse through the PC and transfer the pokemon to him to entrust and care for. He'd probably like that actually. Something to take care of other than Ace, though the Arcanine pretty much took care of himself.

It didn't take long before Natalia had caught so many little pokemon that she had to test and see if she could actually transfer them into her PC before she got more. When the test was successful, Natalia went nuts, catching and transferring a great deal of little pokemon to her PC so that she could contact Alphonse later to transfer them over to the old summer house. For now though, Flora came over with her small pile of tickets and Natalia moved to find Aiden. "I'm so sorry, that took a lot longer than I intended, but I'm ready to go now if you are." She insisted with an embarrassed smile, and when he was ready to leave, Natalia made her way over to the docks with him and head out.

Natalia agreed, saying that ‘Octa Islands’ just didn’t work all things considered, and that ‘Sevii Isles’ rolled nicely off the tongue. ” Heh, indeed it does~” he agreed with a light laugh, though his expression turned thoughtful as another nugget of information crossed his mind. Natalia, being perceptive as she always was, noticed it right away and asked if something was wrong. Aiden snapped out of his daze, and went on to explain the lore behind the Berry Forest, including the Hypnos lurking within that were infamous for kidnapping children who played too close to the woods’ edge. The Sylveon seemed to relax quite a bit as she took their words to heart, before she gently nuzzled Aiden and reached out towards Natalia with her feelers. The blonde got the message in a heartbeat, offering Thalia to the brunette and asking if she didn’t mind holding the Fairy-type for a while. Aiden chuckled as Natalia responded amusedly if he really had to ask, and that of course she didn’t mind it at all as she happily accepted Thalia from him. Of course, he should’ve known that the answer was obvious, especially considering the close bond that the Sylveon shared with Natalia. The Fairy-type happily made herself comfortable in the girl’s arms, cuddling close to her and gently wrapping her feelers around Natalia’s neck. As they crossed the Bond Bridge, however, they noticed right away the large crowd that had gathered near the forest’s entrance. Of course, with it being Tanabata, it was to be expected that the forest would be packed to the canopy with tourists wanting to make their wishes at the wishing tree. Natalia agreed to Aiden’s comment about how busy the place looked, saying that it was surely quite a popular stop with visitors. As much as Aiden wanted to show her the wishing tree, it could very well be a while before they could with how crowded it was… He felt that maybe they should save it for later, and suggested that they come back around before Tanabata was over, preferably when there wasn’t that much of a crowd. Natalia happily agreed to his suggestion, and they turned around to start making their way back towards town. On their way, Aiden spoke up, saying that he was feeling just about ready to head over to Five Island, but wanted to make a quick stop by Two Island before then. He did feel fairly ready for it, but at the same time… surely it couldn’t hurt to take a little more time to prepare, right? Natalia didn’t seem to mind too much, saying that he was in charge of this visit and that she would follow him wherever he wanted to go. The blonde offered her a warm smile in return when she rested a hand on his arm and gently squeezed it, feeling glad that she was being so understanding as his heart skipped a beat or two. Thalia smiled softly, nuzzling against Natalia as the girl stroked one of her little pink paws. Even still, Aiden felt bad that they had come all this way only to have to go back the way they had come, and apologized for it as the town came into view once more. Natalia insisted that he didn’t have to apologize, suggesting that he hadn’t known how busy Berry Forest would be and that she’d rather spend time exploring another island than waiting for who knows how long for the wishing tree. She chuckled and encouraged him to relax, pointing out that they were supposed to be having fun during Tanabata. ” Heh, yeah, you’re not wrong about that~” he responded with a nod, allowing himself a small smile and a chuckle, ” Still, thank you for being patient with me, Natalia… I really do appreciate it, you know~” After all, the point of Tanabata was to have fun, and Aiden certainly wasn’t going to let something like this put a damper on his spirits. Of course, there was still the fact that he was going to have to go to Five Island again soon… but for now, he wouldn’t worry too much about that. They would cross that bridge when they got there. As they headed back into town, they sought out their Pokemon, whom were no doubt having a ball with the games while they had been away. Aria waved to Aiden as they approached, looking fairly pleased with herself as she came over. ” I scored you some more tickets~ Maybe we’ll have enough to get ourselves a nice little prize before we leave~”she chimed, handing him the tickets with a giggle, though she tilted her head curiously at them,” You two didn’t take long to get back… Was the trip to the wishing tree really that short?”Aiden gave a light laugh, shaking his head in response. ” Well, no, Berry Forest was looking mighty crowded when we got there, so we’ve decided to come back later when it’s a lot less busy,” he said with a nod, gesturing towards the docks, ” We’ve decided to head out to Two Island next, and after that, I think I’ll feel prepared enough for us to travel over to Five Island…” Aria nodded, she had figured that the Berry Forest was quite the popular tourist attraction, especially with Tanabata going on. However, a look of concern crossed the Delphox’s face at Aiden’s mention of Five Island. It was clear that he had conflicting thoughts and memories about that place, and she knew that they didn’t necessarily have to go there if Aiden felt that he wasn’t ready to face his past yet. She would stand by his decision either way, and be there to help him cope with it if they really were heading to that place. Aria offered him a warm, matronly smile as she held his hand, gently squeezing it to help comfort him.” Take as much time as you need, Aiden,”she encouraged softly, letting him know that she would be there with him every step of the way. The blonde smiled, squeezing her hand back as thanks, before he glanced over towards Natalia. The brunette seemed surprised and quite smitten with the tiny Wailmer that Flora had caught for her, and was soon off to collect more of the small water Pokemon at the fishing booths. Aiden chuckled softly, though he couldn’t blame her, he would have a fairly similar reaction too if he was handed a little bag full of water and tiny Pokemon. His mother had taught him to love all Pokemon, big and small, strong and weak, and he would’ve loved to take some small water Pokemon with him if he could. Of course, the problem was that he wouldn’t have anywhere to keep them, he didn’t have any dwelling of his own, and he certainly couldn’t send them to his old home on Five Island. Even more so, there wouldn’t be anyone around to care for them while he was away, and he would never dream of letting Pokemon go neglected for long periods of time. Nevertheless, he gladly waited patiently for Natalia to do what she needed to do, Thalia watching with fascination and wonder from her position in her arms as the girl caught a colorful menagerie of tiny Pokemon and transferred them over to the PC. Several minutes later, Natalia had finished her business and made her way back to where Aiden was waiting along with Flora. She apologized, saying that it had taken longer than she expected, and that she was ready to go when he was. ” Not a problem~ I’m sure you caught a nice little collection of small water Pokemon~” the blonde said with a light laugh, nodding to her, ” But yeah, I’m ready, let’s get going~” With that said, their company made their way towards the docks, getting on board the next Seagallop ferry and setting off for their next destination.✦ ✦
