 Youmu Konpaku Youmu woke up on Wednesday, only enough to see a horde of demons surrounding the area.
"Shiva..." she called quickly, the demon emerging with a small smile. For a few moments, it was quiet.....before he sent out the Pasupata to Tear through the swathe of demons..and clear out the path.

Youmu Konpaku The day started out with a vicious earthquake..and a Minor storm of explosions. She gasped, covering her face as her demons started to pull her away.
"Al..already?" she thought, losing some of her supplies as she ran. Already, the Septentrione were fighting....and after her.

Youmu Konpaku Youmu wandered through the area once more, and sighed, seeing another crowd of demons. They were all bunched up today....
"But why?" she thought to herself, as she continued on. It was strange to see them all lined up...But, as she summoned up Shiva to do his thing, she didn't have time to worry.

Youmu Konpaku Things seemed strangely calm all of the sudden.
No more were there a horde of demons...Only, a few single ones in the area.
She could see a few running and hiding...Yet, some of them still turned on her, trying to retain what little dignity they had.
She shook her head, before sending out Ongyo-Ki....Who managed to handle the situation surprisingly well. It was...easy.

Youmu Konpaku Youmu waded through the area, passing through civilians and agents alike. She had received word of the next attacker was due to arrive in another town, so she had begun to set off....
Before hearing someone calling her name."Youmu-chan!" Daichi's voice called, as he ran to catch up to her. "You're..heading to Oshu now, aren't you?""Yeah..." she answered, averting her gaze a bit. "It's what Yamato wanted....He wants his agents to be ready to take down the next Septentrione. And, to do that..""Yeah, but is that what you want?"Youmu didn't answer that, merely putting the coordinates into the terminal.
"I just want to be of use." she called, as she started to warp away."W..wait! Konpaku, I have something for.." Daichi started...before she vanished. Seika Murakami  "Hatsu...Let's leave." Her words came out almost in a whisper, as ashen eyes looked at the direction of the shelter that had been destroyed countless times. It was obvious they weren't safe here... Why were they lingering, anyway? "We'll have a better chance of surviving if..." If what? She wasn't really sure, but... she knew that staying wouldn't do them any good. Maybe other cities weren't as ******** as this one?

 "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."It was hard to refute her suggestion of going to another city...how many times had they nearly died simply protecting this one shelter against demons, against those Septentriones? And yet...there were still so many people clinging to this place, so many people who would have been dead if not for the two of them and what they had been doing the last two days? Could they simply leave and abandon them? Hatsu tried to imagine how they might survive if they weren't around...where that little girl with her paper cranes and the older ladies and men who couldn't fight might go...who they might get to look after them. But if not himself...who? Ronaldo? Yamato?
"Aa...I want to stay," his voice was quiet, but resolute...whatever this world was going to throw at them, he knew what his heart was telling him, what he needed to do. Ronaldo's dream...the one the people had been talking about, a world of equality, of helping one another hand-in-hand...it was something worthy building, he thought. And these people, they needed a world like that...they needed his strength to make it real. "I can't abandon them." The university student looked at her with sad, determined eyes. The people were going about their new morning rituals in this odd place, and so many of them stopped to nod and wave at him...knowing his fight, Ronaldo's fight, and her fight were the reason they were still alive. They trusted him...he couldn't betray that trust now. "They need me..."

"They need us," a deep voice cut in after a moment, the man in the blue coat with the fur collar and brown hair came walking slowly towards them through the crowd, smiling faintly...but his eyes were hard, and growing harder by the day, "JPs and Yamato Hotsuin have abandoned them. They are on their own now...if we don't look after them, if we don't fight against JPs, the demons, and the Septentriones ourselves, they will surely die. And I can't allow that to happen. I think you agree with me, too, don't you?" His eyes were expectant...and Hatsu couldn't find the reason to disagree with him. Nodding faintly, Ronaldo seemed to smile and ease just a little at the thought of having found a worthy ally. "I thought so...you are a good person, Harima. Just like I've heard from all of these people. Together, I'm sure that we can make the dream of an Egalitarian World a reality. We can protect the people," he nodded confidently, before turning his attention to Seika for just a moment as he prepared to leave, "The people are crying out for salvation, and we...Harima and I...we're going to give it to them. I would like for you to lend us your strength as well, but I can't force you. Take your time and think it over, but know that everyone's time is running out. Who knows how much longer this world has...but anyway, I need to go. There are still some things I have to do today. I hope to hear from you both again soon..."

Seika Murakami She knew the answer he would give her even before he said anything. Hatsu was someone who cared for others... he protected others..He would put others before him anytime. So, Seika had known it would be useless to ask him to run away from all these people. And yet... when he did answer, there was a bubbling rage growing inside of her. Not at him... but at the situation. She was scared for him... for them both. She didn't want to die... she didn't want him to die. And yet he would still choose to get into the line of fire to save the weak. It was the noble thing to do... but she wasn't that noble.
For him, though... she'd stay. She wouldn't leave him alone... even if all her senses screamed for her to flee and survive.
Seika sighed and nodded stiffly, before shifting her attention to the road ahead. "Let's get to it, then..."

Seika Murakami She had just finished those words and turned, when one of those things crashed just a few meters from her. The impact was enough to push her back to the ground, and the redhead cursed under her breath, groaning painfully. It had taken her off guard... she couldn't even see where it had come from... but it had certainly done it's damage.
The girl stood... her fist clenching. She would fight this thing. She would protect Hatsu.
Even if she had to die for it.

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you.""Look out! One of the Megrez Buds is coming this way!" the familiar voice of Ronaldo Kuriki shouted from the alley as he rushed over, obviously having used some stolen JPs intel to track the movements of a dangerous foe that was closing in on one of the most populated shelters in the city...this one, where Hatsu and Seika had been fighting. But by the time that he had arrived all of the citizens were already running...the fight Hatsu and Seika were putting up against the Bud having nearly claimed the life of the former and potentially put the latter down for the count. Turning his head for just a moment at the sound of the voice, Hatsu's foreheads bled faintly and he clenched his fist, hoping that this would be enough to turn the tide of battle and save what remained of their shelter for the people! "I see...you take the girl, I'll hold it off...don't worry, I'll run as soon as I see a chance. Now go!"
...Hatsu didn't need to be told twice, nodding swiftly and moving to Seika's side as Ronaldo engaged it, scooping her up into his arms and looking for the nearest alley.
"Aa...I owe you!" he called out and he meant it dearly, moving swiftly into the distance while they still had cover to keep them safe until at last he had ducked into the alley and set the girl down, calling out his demons to try and do some emergency first-aid, "I'll help...don't...die, Seika." It hurt...just seeing her like this, hurting because she hadn't wanted to abandon him...it hurt...was this all his fault? Couldn't he have protected her like...the people?
Magic flowed through her body...and he could see it shift, mend...Sarasvati played her harp and thankfully...gratefully...the girl was brought back to life by the melody.
"I won't..." he spoke quietly, brushing a stray red hair from her eye, "...let you die. I need you here..." Quote: Current Demons: Mahakala [22], Flaemis [22] Sarasvati [19], Ogre [8] Current Tokens: 2 Tokens Seika Revived!

Eiji "Gin" Mishima  "Hey...have either of you seen a posse of dew-rag wearing, blackboard hating demons who were led by a Megrez Bud with a fake gold tooth and a tattoo that said 'Megrez Sux'? I've been pursuing that Bud since it tried to perform a drive-by on the lieutenant of JPs..." Most people would have thought that story sounded insane. A lot of them would have walked away right away after that. But not Hatsu...Hatsu and Seika were a pair of Gin's most trusted buddies, who would never question his sanity after he watched a member of their team fall to their death at the Mist Wall after being Zazi fear-gassed which to be fair none of them knew the long term effects of. And yes that was the last major incident where they were all together, proving they couldn't vouch for his sanity right off the bat. "...it may also make Jurassic Park references...thought I might have thought that part up myself..." Gin tapped his chin as he tried to remember. Still, it was worth planning ahead in case it did have that sort of ability to adapt, and after it'd survived their encounters so many times... Quote: Gin sounds like he's coo-coo for coco puffs. Seika Murakami "Hatsu..." Her voice was faint... her bloodied fingers weakly searching for him...a feather-like touch on his cheek, the red trail left behind. His healing magic had helped... but still the girl balanced between life and death. She couldn't see him... her gaze too blurry... and she felt afraid. There were so many things she regretted not doing... not saying...

Eiji "Gin" Mishima "We can rebuild Seika. Stronger, faster...with 100% more robotic limbs..." Gin attempted to persuade Hatsu to his totally not insane plan while they worked to rescue the damsel in distress, but something told him that Hatsu and Seika might be taking leave of Gin's company soon. It was for the best too...he had a quest to complete, a Bud to finish, and these two weren't hard enough for the battle he had yet to face! They had futures ahead of them...and he wished them the best of luck. Somewhere away from this apocalypse/ghetto these Bud-raptors were rolling around in. Maybe if he summoned a Megrez Tyrannosaurus...? Of course, he was too focused on his plans to improve Seika in order to survive the ordeal, and ended up taking a Diastrophism to the back of the head himself from the Buds, because damn it all to hell. "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."I can't even...no, no, HATSU couldn't even...his joy at the sight of seeing Seika finally revive after the second resurrection via Gin's assistance was only matched by his absolute confusion over the things that his former field commander was saying to him. Megrez Buds in Do-Rags with Chains and Gold Teeth Doing Drive-By Shootings on Blackboards and something about the Six-Million Dollar Man?! Blankly looking at Gin and wondering internally if there was something truly wrong with his teammate after the incident at the Mist Wall (the last time he could remember seeing him he hadn't been himself, following...that...), it was that distraction which allowed a bud to fall from the sky behind the trio and unleash a spell that caught him by surprise.
Pure insanity was the cause of death, however...raptor-gangster buds and Seika being dead...? Megrez Buds were only a circumstantial instrument in the plan. It could have been a car, or a wild boar, or even a Red Wedding! Any of them would have done the same...though only one would have been quite this tragic.

He was thrown against a wall violently and collapsed in a heap, his already-exhausted body looking as much like death now as before, but only now did he lay there motionless...uncertain if he would, or could, rise again.
