In went Sharknado, and any semblance of a serious movie screening went out the window. Otto wasn't sure what time it was, and he was pretty sure he didn't care.

"Gunna warn you now. There may be.. a little bit of blood." Oh s**t. Chance. Blood. "Does that bother you in movies? Cause now that I think about it, it's like kinda campy and... in your face in this..."

Chance did not care about the time either, since he didn't sleep until ridiculous hours anyway, as Otto was well aware of. He half wondered where Otto's roommate was, but didn't ask, instead just sinking down comfortably onto the couch.

"Oh," he said, and then smiled. "I think I'll be okay with movies, it's just sort of the, like...seeing it and touching it physically, I've been okay when I read it in books or see it when I pass a television since I know instinctively it's not actually real."

He bumped his leg playfully against Otto's. "Thanks for thinking of me, though, I appreciate it."

"You're welcome." He murmured with a nod, rubbing his neck and keeping his eyes on the TV. He was just glad he caught it before he could come off as insensitive. He didn't always think things through as much as he ought to. Mostly due to being so excited about watching movies.

The movie was, of course, ridiculous. With a name like Sharknado, what did one expect? Good acting and a riveting plot and character development? Nope.

The slapstick and over the top fake effects are what got Otto giggling, if nothing else.

Chance was just as enthralled with Sharknado as he'd been with Twister. The blood effects were over-the-top enough for him to not be too affected by them (though once or twice he winced away, privately, hoping Otto wouldn't notice), and he found himself lost in the throes of laughter the longer the movie went on.

"They actually spent money making this?" he said about halfway through, wiping tears of mirth from his eyes, slumped sideways on the couch. "This is a ******** cinematic masterpiece."

Was he corrupting a good mind with the dull entertainment of flying sharks? Possibly. Did he feel bad about it? ******** no. Otto was having fun, and he so seldom allowed himself such pleasures.

"I dunno if you got the repertoire of cinematic know how to say whether or not it's a masterpiece." The man had seen all of two movies so far. "I think this calls for more movies." If Otto would last through another was a different story, but that remained to be seen. He'd eaten a fair amount of sugar by now.

And, wisely, he'd only allowed himself to drink strictly coke. For now.

"Wanna watch 2012? It's about the end of the world."

"Two movies is totally the right amount of movies to be able to judge, right?" said Chance cheerfully. "But I totally agree with the more movies sentiment, let's do it, I one thousand percent am in positive agreement that more movies is the way to go."

He was eating the last few dregs of the popcorn, chewing happily as he lifted his own soda.

"Yes, please," said Chance excitedly. "Is it gonna be super dramatic?"

"Very dramatic. Lots of destruction. The effects are amazing!" Otto grinned, setting the movie up and flopping down onto the couch. He did so in a way that was very laid back and comfortable. He was in his own apartment, after all. And he was definitely feeling easy going after a few movies to lull him into such a state. He pressed play eagerly, bringing a bowl of chips into his lap to feast on selfishly.

His heart beat raced with eager excitement. He loved such movies, and having someone to share with was a delight.

He turned up the volume so the destruction scenes would play out all the more intensely.

"Excellent," said Chance. "It sounds perfect."

He got himself just as comfortable as Otto, slumped into the seat with his feet propped up and looking both lazy and relaxed, drinking the last of his soda. The night was already much better than he anticipated, and he felt very good right about now.

"Holy s**t this is already intense," said Chance with wide eyes, shifting a little closer so that he could reach out and snag a few chips from the bowl.

City streets were being snapped and ripped apart, and buildings toppling, and cards flying off skyways like toy cars. Unimaginable in it's scale it was both awe inspiring and unreal. Otto was of course enthralled with his eyes never wavering from the screen. He couldn't, however, resist an urge as he smacked Chance's hand as it approached his bowl.

He grinned soon after, snapping his gaze away to meet Chance's.

"Just kidding." He said with mirth, leaving the bowl open for further thievery if the man so wished to do.

Chance was utterly riveted, as he was with all of the movies so far. But there was something more intense about this one, and he found it unbelievably interesting, unable to draw his gaze away.

At least until he felt something smack his hand. Chance's gaze cut to Otto, and he let out a mock wounded sound.

"Rude," said Chance indignantly, but he was smirking, scooping up a chip and eating it deliberately slow just to be obnoxious.

Otto smacked him again for good measure.

"Okay, that's it - "

Chance attempted tug the bowl of chips away. "Sharing is caring, Otto."

"Nooooo..." He grumbled, his body closing around the bowl like some mutant gelatinous ooze.

Chance attempted to pry Otto off while still watching the movie, fingers digging into the other's side and arm.

"They are totally gonna get blown up."

Otto's face was going red as he tried not to laugh. Chance was pinching his side right where he was ticklish. The blond squirmed around, half watching the movie and half attempting to escape. But he didn't want to leave the couch, so there wasn't much he could do.

He tried to reply to Chance's comment with sass, but mutated giggles escaped instead.
