He put his hands up "Okay, calm down. Here, let's take this for right now-..." He grabbed the electrical baton and tried to pull it from her grasp.
"No! I'm going to go after her and-"
"What's wrong?" He was watching her face, and she was watching his hand.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"
Vyrtem looked confused. Okay? Is he okay? Why in Korriban's desert sands would she be asking if he was-

"Oh. Would you look at that?"

for years Vaas trained to be a jedi. he grew up in the jedi temple but the jedi said he was to proud and angry. And every sith initiate wanted to fight Vaas for that very reason. Vaas knew he the fight was coming from the way the other initiate looked at him. Vaas acted first by moving back a step and pulling his vibroblade. the two locked eyes "Not again" Vaas thought. the fight was on the initiate rushed him.

She promptly continued with her freakout as she involuntarily let go of the baton and covered her mouth "Oh my God let it go! What are you doing?"
Vyrtem realized slowly that he had grabbed the stun baton by the 'blade'. "Oh! Don't worry. Don't worry, I'm alright. I'm fine. See?" He grabbed the handle and deactivated the baton, showing her his unharmed hand. "See? I'm perfectly fine. Everything's alright."
She looked flabbergasted. "What- I mean how- You jus- What!?" She looked like she was about to cry.
He held up his hands again "No. Please. Calm down. It's okay. I'm fine. I didn't even feel it. I'm perfectly alright. I promise."
She still looked terrified, but it was now a controlled sort of panic. "I... I don't understand.... Explain." She demanded an answer in the most adorable way he'd ever seen.
He couldn't help but laugh. "Okay. Okay. I'll explain."

She was agape again, almost offended "What's so funny? What about this is funny?"
Vyrtem started laughing harder. "It's just... You're just... You're something else, you know that?"
She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. "I'm still waiting for an explanation."
Vyrtem looked around suspiciously. "Okay. Okay, I'll explain... But not here."
She seemed discontent with this option, but she looked around and realized what time it was. "Okay. Let me close up here and then we can go talk. Tonight. Like right now."
Vyrtem laughed again. "Alright. I promise."

Valya walked back and shut the door to the storage room, locking her tablet inside and punching a code to secure the door. She walked back to Vyrtem carrying a messenger bag slung over one shoulder. "Okay. I'm ready. Where are we going?"
Vyrtem hadn't thought about that. The whole Academy was basically shut down this late at night, so there weren't very many places to go... Well... He guessed...
"Why don't we just go to your room? It's probably the most privacy we're going to find."
Forward. Ummm... "Okay." He took a breath and began to walk toward his dorm. He just hoped Mina had cleared the hallways, so that they might not incur any rumors nastier than what were already going to be coming.
She walked behind him, determined to get her answer no matter what the cost.
It seemed like forever. Had he cleaned up the room? Did it smell funny? Was there anything embarrassing in plain view? Was it going to be too small for her? Was she going to- "We're here. This is me." He paused and stood outside his door, his hand hovering over the keypad he'd use to unlock it.

She smiled a little. "Did you forget your passcode? Do I need to call maintenance down here?"
He flushed slightly. "What? No. I jus-" He sighed, punching in the code as the door sprang open.
She laughed suddenly, not following him into the room as he walked forward.
Oh no. What? What is it? He looked around, not finding anything. "What? What's wrong?"
She laughed harder. She finally gained control of herself. "You're embarrassed, aren't you? Big bad Sithy boy embarrassed by little ol' me?"
Vyrtem flushed royally red and his mouth opened and closed repeatedly. He had nothing to say, and the finger that he had raised to indignantly interject drooped as his shoulders sagged."No I'm-... Is it... That obvious?"

Vaas struck first but the initiate blocked. Vaas ducked under the strike from the initiate and turned to face his enemy. what he saw when he faced him was his back to Vaas. "can't we talk abot this?" Vaas ask "why wont you just die jedi?" was the initiate called back to Vaas. "don't call me that you stupid s**t!" Vaas screamed and struck.

She laughed and covered her mouth, finally deciding to follow him in. "It is a little bit obvious, but it's okay. It's cute in a helpless puppy sort of way."
He flushed again, trying not to look her in the eye until he'd managed to control himself. He cleared his throat. "Ahem. Yeah. This is the place. It's not much, but-"
"Don't even go there. I know people who'd kill for a room like this. And free food? Don't get me started."
He never really realized how easy he had it, he guessed. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Though some of us do kill to get into a place like this, so it's kinda the same thing, right?"
She giggled. "Yeah, it may be, I guess. Never really thought of it that way."
He chuckled. "Alright, then. Well... Where do we start?"

She took a breath and let it out slowly. "Ummm... Let's start with the part where you grabbed lightning by the blade and didn't notice?"
He had thought that might be where she wanted to start. "Okay, but it's a bit of a long story..."
She took another breath and sat up straight, composing herself and readying herself for the adventure she was sure to be taken on. "Okay. I'm ready."
He took a steadying breath and tried to figure out where to start. He guessed that he'd start at the beginning and work his way back to the present. "Well, to be honest, it all started in the Academy training classes... Where we go to learn our Sith history and things like the Sith Code and topics like that. We were always taught to channel our anger and rage into a usable Force."
She nodded. "That explains so much about this place."
He nodded "Right?"

She motioned with her hand patiently "Okay, keep going."
He made a face and decided to continue with the most well-known part. But he decided to gloss over it as smoothly as he could. "Well, they ship us here to learn how to be a Sith once we've learned what a Sith is, and, well, I wanted to make a statement. I wanted to prove to everyone that I was a force to be reckoned with, to set myself apart from the other recruits..."
She giggled. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. We all know that part."
He made a face and looked down for a moment.. "Yeah... Yeah, we all know that part..."
She perked up. "And then what happened? I assume your divine vestments have something to do with it?" She gestured at his holey shirt.
He nodded. "Yeah, but I made a couple of steps between then and then. I went to the library to try to study on any Sith techniques I could find to give me an edge in the future.

She nodded matter-of-factly. "Naturally."
He chuckled a little bit. "Yeah, so that's what I did. I went there looking for ways to become stronger, and what I found was a tome of old knowledge that taught me a technique that allows me to consume energy and use it for my own benefit."
"So that's why the... The whole... Grabby thing."
He scratched his head self-consciously. "Yeah.. That's the whole grabby thing." He took the baton and turned it on, touching it with his fingers lightly before wrapping his fingers around the electrical discharge.
She shuddered. "It still freaks me out when you do that. Please stop."
He laughed and let it go, turning the baton off. "Well, I'd actually picked this up to train with it, but it looks like I don't need it. It's a shame I don't have anyone to give it to who can take care of it for me."

Vaas slammed he vibroblade into the initiates back. The initiate fell onto his face. Vaas walked over and slammed his foot into the downed initiates back and left it there and yelled " I am Vaas and I am a SITH I am not a jedi if you call me such i will not be as nice about it next time." Vaas looked at the faces of all the students that had gathered. Vaas started to walk away into the crowed. "two moves he thought I must do better next time. and i need to remember to use the Force that was to sloppy." Vaas mumbled as he walked away, it was time to train with the force. Push come too shove the next person to call Vaas a jedi he was going to crush there head with just a thought.

She made a face "Yeah, that sucks, doesn't it? It's signed out in your name, so I can't imagine you'd go and hand it off to someone else, so what are you gonna do about it?"
He couldn't help but laugh. A short, comfortable silence followed. "So, you know my big secret. What do you think? Be gentle."
She just frowned. "Why keep it a secret? If you have that sort of power, why would you keep it from everyone else while they make fun of you for being weak?"
Vyrtem nodded softly. "You know, a couple weeks ago, I would have agreed with you. Hell, a couple days ago I would have... But today taught me something. The one who wrote the books I'm learning from said that patience should be practiced until it is an artform. He said that you must find balance within yourself before you can hope to understand the world. I've got to say, after today, I feel that same way. There are more important things than conflict, I guess."
She smiled and looked up at him, cocking her head to the side. "Like what?"
He smiled and felt his face heating up, his heart pounding. "I can think of a few things.

She smiled and bit her lower lip a little, scrunching her eyebrows a little bit. "You know... Something's different about you... You're not like other Sith, are you?"
He swallowed hard. "I... I uh- I guess not."
She stood up and stepped closer to him, looking up into his eyes. "Why is that, I wonder?" She seemed to be looking for something.
He couldn't breathe. He backed up against his desk as she pressed up against him. He swallowed hard again. He couldn't look away from those green eyes.
She smiled up at him, still searching. "Yeah... There it is."
His brow furrowed slightly. "u- Uh, what?"

Meditation 1/3
She went straight to the nearest meditation chamber to focus her mind and body for what was to come. Surely, with what she had just done someone was bound to tear into her like a starving rancor. She needed to replay the entire fight in her mind, to find her weaknesses, her faults. She must be perfect in everything she does. If not, the bantha s**t-eaters back in the lab will torture her beyond her limits, again. They will be happy she is in agony. They no longer experiment on her to see how well she will hold up to various types of pain, Force infllicted or otherwise. Now they do it just because they're bored with her. She will not allow them this pleasure anymore after today. Her new life as a Sith Initiate begins today, just as her old life as a science experiment dies.
