It was a silent walk for those next few minutes. They arrived at a small corner café that didn’t appear to be busy. There were only a few patrons on the inside and a couple seated on the other end of the outside patio. Lyndon seemed to take note as well, promptly heading for the empty table on the opposite side of the couple’s table and taking a seat. Faraday followed suit and plopped himself down in the seat across from the man.
"Sissy, why don’t you go help Dresden with our new recruit, hm?" Faraday gave a shrug of his shoulder, shooing the Magikit off it gently. Sissil frowned and hovered there uncertainly a moment before giving a little nod of his head and flying over to the other two. With that handled, Faraday resumed his silence. The only exchange of words came when the waiter took their drink orders and provide them menus.
Faraday browsed the menu and once the waiter had left, finally spoke up. "So is that why you’re here? To chastise me about my lack of badge getting?" He inquired, lowering the menu just enough to peek over the top of it. Lyndon’s gaze only shifted up a bit before focusing back on the menu. It was silent before he finally set it down, folding his hands on top of it.
”It’s a bigger deal than you realize.” Faraday frowned, letting his own menu fall to the table. The tone was ambiguous. Something was up. The detective shifted in his seat a moment, glancing off to the side. Once it was apparent the area was clear he leaned in close, folding his own arms on the table.
"Oh yeah? Care to explain?" Lyndon eyed him a moment before he glanced around for himself. Finally he sighed, expression shifting to obvious concern. That sent a bit of a shiver down his spine; usually the man was calm and collected from what he understood. It took a lot to make him look this level of concerned.

”Interpol is on high alert.” Faraday looked surprised. This was news to him. Double checking the area again he focused on Lyndon again, adjusting himself and lowering his tone further to speak. "I hadn’t heard anything..." Lyndon picked his menu back up, focusing on it once more. Faraday frowned at the lack of answer, realizing a moment that the waiter was approaching once again. They placed their orders, a sandwich for him and a salad for Lyndon –how boring- before the conversation resumed.
”I’m not surprised you haven’t heard anything. Communications have been… delayed because of it.” Lyndon responded, picking up his water and taking a sip. Faraday gave him a bit of a look. That was an understatement; how many times had he’d tried to contact Addison to no avail? But then again, if something was going on well… now it made sense.
"So what’s going on?" Faraday asked casually. They were in public after all; it was necessary to keep it looking normal. Lyndon made it a bit odd though; he had a business-like demeanor to him. It was kind of a noticeable contrast. It probably didn’t help that something was clearly weighing hard on his mind.
”We’ve had agents disappearing recently.” The frown on Faraday’s face didn’t move, though an eyebrow did go up. That was… alarming. But then again, it also wasn’t exactly something new. Agents… disappeared from time to time. Either because they’d been found out and had to go into hiding or because of less savory outcomes. Still though, this didn’t quite strike him as an issue Lyndon himself needed to address.
"Well… they go missing all the time." Lyndon’s face immediately grew grim. ”Not four in a single month.” Four? In a single month? That was a bit concerning…
”And not all of them undercover.” A chill ran down Faraday’s spine. Now that was a big red flag. His demeanor immediately shifted to a serious one as he focused more fully on Lyndon. The man’s expression hadn’t shifted at the omissions, though it was clear from the look in his eyes that the pair were on the same level of agreement.

It was quiet again, just long enough for their food to arrive without interrupting them. It was quiet a few more minutes; Lyndon picking through his salad while Faraday examined the contents of his sandwich.
"So… any ideas how? Or… why?" Faraday finally inquired as he picked up his sandwich and took a bite. He made a bit of a face, setting it down and digging in his bag. He yoinked out a small bottle of hot sauce. Lyndon’s face scrunched up as the detective applied a rather liberal amount of the stuff to his sandwich. ”Really?”
"Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it." Faraday retorted. The blonde looked annoyed, eyes rolling before he resumed picking at his salad.
”You’re disgusting.”
"From missing persons to my eating habits. You know, you’re not very good at keeping to one subject." Faraday remarked, beginning to chomp back into his sandwich. Muuuch better. The silence was rather thick though and so he took a look up.
”…” Oops. Faraday paused mid-bite to observe the nasty glare he was receiving. If he had known that Lyndon could look agitated enough that he might be ready to kill, then he might’ve reconsidered making the remark in the first place. It was too late to take it back though and Lyndon simply cleared his throat in response, looking to his own food and taking a bite for himself. Faraday frowned. "Look, I didn’t mean-" ”Don’t.” Faraday stopped mid-sentence. Lyndon took another bite, leaving them in silence again. Faraday just resumed eating his own food. This was slowly becoming far tenser then he’d expected it to get. He’d finished about half of his sandwich before finally breaking the silence again.
"So are they…?"”Just MIA. We don’t have any information beyond that, but still… we need to be cautious. I want every agent to be on top of their game until we know exactly what happened.” Lyndon looked hard at him. ”Which means you need to do better.” Faraday’ just nodded, mouth full of sandwich. He still didn’t quite follow the logic, but if that’s what the man wanted then well… he’d get on it.

They finished the last of their meal, Lyndon being nice enough to pay for it; which given Faraday’s recent attitude, was really a nice action on his part. Of course, even if the man seemed like nothing but business, he had a decent side. Faraday was just being an a**.
”Where’s your team?” The man asked as they stood to leave. Faraday quirked an eyebrow, glancing around. They’d disappeared from view while they were eating, though he had faith Dresden could handle the pair. It wasn’t long of course until they found the three up the street a little ways. He blinked and stared a moment at the Zorua. There was some strange metal contraption on his head; how the hell had that gotten there?
Lyndon just quirked an eyebrow, expression ambiguous once more. Dresden seemed to be focused on something else, the Magikit poking at the strange head gear with confusion. Well, however it had gotten there it was apparently unintentional.
"What in the world have you three been doing?" He inquired, staring down at them. Dresden straightened up and huffed, giving his trainer a bit of a look. Sissil kept occupied with the head contraption and the Zorua… well he seemed lost in his own thoughts. Faraday just frowned. "Well… alright then."
”You’ve got such an amazing understanding of your team, you know.” Lyndon jeered a bit, giving Faraday a side glance. The detective just rolled his eyes, hands on his hips and he shot him a grin. "Well you know, it’s all in the practice."
”Hmph. I’m sure it is.” Lyndon strolled forward past the team, eyeing them a moment before turning to face Faraday with a pokeball in his hand. ”Let’s have a battle.” Faraday blinked, staring at the man a moment. "A battle? What, just desperate to see how garbage I am?" Faraday joked. Lyndon cracked the slightest of smiles. ”I suppose if that’s what you want to call it. Sure.” Faraday ‘hmph’ed but nodded, ushering his pokemon back over. "Alright then. You’re on."

Faraday’s expression was set into a hard frown as he returned Murphy to her pokeball. Lyndon’s own expression was rather pensive as he returned the fainted Beheeyem. He returned the pokeball to his coat pocket, glancing briefly at the detective who remained standing in place staring at the pokeball in his hand. The Zorua was seated nearby, tail swishing as he watched the battle curiously. He felt he was learning quite a bit; something about this contraption he’d accidentally gotten stuck on his head was making processing of information easier.
”You need to train.” Lyndon finally remarked, adjusting the collar of his jacket. Faraday literally glared daggers up at him, the frown still on his face. "That wasn’t your regular team." He almost spat back as he placed the ball back on his belt. Lyndon’s gaze narrowed a bit hands shoved into his pockets before he shrugged. ”You’re right. You would’ve lost even worse if I had them.” Faraday’s demeanor intensified a bit, hands gripping into fists in agitation. It was true… his team probably wouldn’t have stood a chance against Lyndon’s real team. Shoot, that Rattata had managed to do both Dresden and Sissil in, though that missed kick hadn’t helped the Buneary in any way. He certainly hadn’t expected that to happen.
Lyndon took a few steps forward, eyeing Faraday a moment. He pulled a hand out and slapped the man rather roughly on the shoulder. ”Go. Train.” Shoving it back into his coat pocket he started to walk off, leaving Faraday where he was. The detective was quiet before glancing over his shoulder at the sight of the fleeting figure, gaze shifting to look down at the Zorua. It was watching him with a sort of dull interest by this point. "Well… you heard the man. We need to go shopping." Faraday sighed, running a hand over his face and starting to move for the local pokemon center. Maybe he had been getting to lax and it was… well now it was evident. He had some work to do and he’d need some stuff to do it. First, he’d heal up his team and then head to the shopping center. He’d need some stuff if he was going to make this work….

It took a bit of time to get the entirety of his team healed up and then an hour or so more to get his shopping done. Soon though, he was leaving the store with quite few items that would help him in his training quest. He was grateful to some degree to receive decent enough wages; crap to help you get better could be rather expensive.
Still, he did what he had to do. He flopped down into an empty seat outside the shopping building, setting the bag of items on the table while he flipped out his pokedex and switched his watch on. Okay, so if he was going to do this, then it would probably be to his benefit to head back to Hoenn. The next gym leader was a man by the name of Wattson; specializing in Electric types. The left corner of Faraday’s mouth pulled down into a frown. He didn’t really have anyone on his team who could handle Electric-types, at least not with type advantage. He took a gander through his pokedex to get an idea of what he had. If Murphy evolved she could probably handle it… he didn’t have any TMs that he could teach his current team members though. Bummer, that Earthquake would’ve been useful again the electric types. Drumming his fingers against the table, he set about letting his pokemon out. Dresden and Sissil looked less than thrilled, which to be honest, he couldn’t blame them. He’d be owing them a lot once this was all over. Chromie and Murphy seemed to be their chipper selves though, which at least lightened the mood somewhat.
"Hey you two," Faraday reached down, placing a hand on both the Magikit and Buneary’s heads, "Sorry about what happened earlier. You didn’t deserve that." Dresden gave him a look of forgiveness; it certainly wasn’t his first rodeo. Sissil didn’t look so forgiving, eyes narrowed and arms folded over his chest. "We’ve gotta get training. So it doesn’t happen again. So… you ready?" Faraday leaned back in his chair. "We’re gonna head back through the desert and to Castelia. We’ll hop the train and head over towards Mauville. That’s where the next gym is, and we’re gonna train the entire way. So… you hate me yet?" Dresden just cocked an eyebrow, a look that caused the detective to grin. Sissil just huffed, gaze shooting off to the side. "C’mon Sissy, don’t be like that. I’ll make it up to you –all of you- I promise." Faraday knelt down in front of the magic kitten. "But this is really important. We’ve gotta get strong. And preferably quick. I’ll make it painless as possible." He of course meant it. The last thing he wanted to do was needlessly knock his pokemon out in the process; losing was one thing but damn, knocking them into comas for no reason was just dumb. Sissil huffed again though his gaze shifted to look at the man. Conceding, he gave a little nod of agreement. Alright fine, he could do that much.
"That’s the spirit." Faraday grinned, giving both of them rough head pats. He looked at Chromie and Murphy, nodding at them too. "You’ll be training too. We’ve got a lot of work to do." With that he was back on his feet, retrieving the bag. The Zorua was still there, sitting on the table, watching the whole interaction. Faraday quirked an eyebrow, picking up the bag. "You know, the pokedex says you’re supposed to be able to talk and stuff." He frowned a little as all he received in response was silence. Well, he supposed there was a first time for everything. Shrugging he started off in the direction of the route exit back to the desert. For now, they had to find things to fight; he’d worry about the Zorua later.

After Alexandra had confirmed she'd be fine on her own Aja made her way towards a random direction, eyes cast downwards once more. Once she was gone the brunette began to take a look around her surroundings, deciding that for now at least she'd do a bit of sight-seeing, or at least as much sight-seeing she could do within a one mile radius, she'd never been to this place. Though, perhaps figuring out where she actually was would be better. She did a quick look around, eventually spotting a young woman quickly hurrying to an unknown destination. "Excuse me, ma'am!" she called out, garnering the woman's attention. "What city is this?" The other woman quirked an eyebrow, though quickly answered her question, "Nimbasa." Alexandra nodded and with a quick thank you to the woman turned away. So they were in Unova now? Interesting.

She'd never been to Unova before and, although she was excited at the prospect of exploring a new city, she knew she didn't have the time or luxury to look around as thoroughly as she might've wanted to. The brunette, prepared to start looking around while she still could, stop when she felt something wiggle from underneath the collar of her shirt. She shivered but, remembering Siemens, didn't go for her instinctive reaction of swatting at it. Admittedly, with everything going by so quickly, Alexandra had almost forgotten about her shoulder companion; though it was only after his appearance that she realized just how... dangerous having him out was. Siemens was so small, and it was more than possible for him to fall off her shoulder during their time in the air. "You're quite the little trooper, aren't you?" she cooed quietly, scratching him underneath the mandible this time. With all the possible scenarios where she could've lost him now running through her head, she was even more relieved to find that her Joltik was still with her, and in good condition. Siemens, not quite understanding his trainer's emotions, simply squeaked in agreement before he rubbed himself against her cheek, soft brushes of static jumping off his body in the process.

For the next half hour Alexandra spent her time going about the city, or at least the portion available to her from their landing area, and showering Siemens in affection, the latter of which the Joltik seemed to relish. The brunette had just exited a nearby shop, intrigued by the clothes they offered, when Tropius landed nearby and looked around, spotting Alexandra after a moment. Alexandra gave Siemens one last scratch before she returned him to his pokeball, being wise for once, and then approached Tropius. "How was your trip?" she inquired and pet the pokemon's neck, earning a coo in response. Alexandra smiled and then, from the corner of her eye, watched as a familiar head of hair began to approach them. "I got it! Let's head out." Aja announced, taking a moment to brush herself off before she got back on. Alexandra nodded and, after stretching, followed suit.

Huey began to shrug off his sister's jacket the minute they were cleared off the desert, her goggles following before the boy handed both back to the older woman. It was getting darker, street lights were starting to flicker on, but hopefully the gym was still open; even if it only had about thirty minutes left until closing, the boy was certain he'd be able to knock out this battle! Before that of course, he needed to have his pokemon healed. With Angelia leading the way Huey soon found himself in the lobby of the Pokecenter, waiting in line patiently for his turn to speak to Nurse Joy.
It didn't take long before Huey stood directly in front of the counter, and with a polite smile he handed over Rags to have him healed up. The process, thankfully, wasn't time-consuming and soon he found his pokemon returned to him. Looking Rags over Huey, momentarily, frowned before he perked up. "C'mon outside, Rags! I need to give you something!" he proclaimed before grabbing the Scraggy's hand and tugging him outside. They didn't go far, just right outside the Pokecenter, but once there Huey immediately called out Minerva, the large dragon settling onto the ground before three pairs of eyes looked down curiously. Beaming, Huey dropped down to pull from his backpack several wrapped candies. "Here you two go! Rare candies~ They'll get you stronger!" Excited, he handed Rags his four, leaving him to unwrap them, before he unwrapped Minerva's candy and held all four out on the palm of his hand.
Minerva gained 4 levels! Now level 40! Rags gained 4 levels! At level 38 he learned Crunch! Now level 40!

Feeling more than capable to take on their next challenge Huey took a step in, what he could only hope was, the direction of the gym, only to stop at the sound of the automatic doors sliding open, followed quickly by footsteps. "Wait up Huey!" Oh, right.. In the boy's haste he'd almost forgotten that he hadn't arrived in Nimbasa alone. "Heh.. sorry, Angelia!" Offering an apology Huey smiled as he turned to his half-sister and did as he was told, waiting for the older woman to catch up before they started making their way towards the gym. It wasn't too difficult to find, though there were plenty of distractions that prevented him from immediately spotting the building, and before entering Huey made sure to return Minerva to her pokeball; she wouldn't have been able to fit through the door.
The Nimbasa gym.... didn't look like a gym at all, rather an elegant catwalk. Shielding his eyes against the blinding lights Huey turned around when he felt a pat on his shoulder, looking up to see his sister give him a grin and a thumbs up. "You've got this Hueykins. Show 'em what for! I'll be waiting right here for you." Flashing an appreciative smile Huey turned back around to start forward, dropping his hand away from Rags' and allowing him to take the league. Now.... he knew this gym used electric types, but as for the gym leader themselves for some reason the boy was drawing a blank. What was their name again...
"It's a bit late in the evening for a battle, isn't it?" Huey looked up as a voice called out, his eyes shifting about until they landed on the blonde woman ahead. Instantly he stiffened, his eyes dilating, as memories of a time before began to flash in his mind. T-that... it was the.. "Hmm, Glameow got your tongue, kid?" Elesa inquired, unaware of the effect her very appearance was causing the boy, and Rags too. "I-I..." Feeling his mouth become dry Huey struggled to swallow, his hands growing clammy. The ball... Elesa had been there too... but she'd looked different then; ghastly and gory, and horribly cruel! She and those others, what had been done to them... and Yuki... How could've he forgotten that she was the gym leader here!?
"Look kid, are you here to battle or what? I don't have all day." Growing impatient Elesa folded her arms, only to frown when she noticed Huey visibly shaking. "Oi, you're not scared are you?" Huey swallowed once more before he forced himself to breathe out slowly. "N-no..." He had to remember that that was all behind him now, as horrible as that event had been... he'd survived it and gotten Yuki back; he couldn't start trembling like a leaf just because he had reencountered one of those people. Besides, Elesa had been as much as a victim as he had; she hadn't been responsible for what had happened. "E-Elesa.. I, Hu-Hugo Greens, challenge you to a battle... please." He needed to get it together! Nothing could would come from cowering. "Hm. Alright then, kid. Show me what you've got." With one, elegant, toss the model called out her first pokemon, an Emolga who immediately took the skies.
"Rags..." Huey looked down at his pokemon, one hand reaching out to clasp his trembling shoulder. He'd almost forgotten that Rags had been there too, that mansion had been where the two of them had first met, so of course he must've been as scared as he was. "It's okay... we'll get through this, together, alright?" The Scraggy looked up at his trainer with wide eyes, some sort of realization passing through, before he gave a sharp nod and fixed his face into an expression of determination. "Scrag!" Yanking his loose skin up Rags stomped onto the battlefield, more than prepared to fight. He was the great Rags, after all, he could do anything!
