Sin winced a little as his Ralts was tackled. A simple bruiser style pokemon, Simple enough to defeat. Geodude he knew where rock ground types so his Seedot held the advantage but the gym leader said at the beginning she had two pokemon to their six. If that's the case it might not be a good idea to switch out. Risking that lose in a turn could be really crucial to her victory. Thinking fast Nis wanted to see what this gym leader was up to. Surely she wasn't simply the gym leader because her Geodude could tackle hard? "Ralts Confusion !" ╠═══════════════════════════════════════════════╣ "Ralts no!" Nis screamed taking a step towards his fallen pokemon. The Ralts simply weren't having a good go of things. Beaten first by Gilbert and now Roxanne. Sin only stopped himself from rushing to his fallen pokemons side because Nis was already closing the distance. Ralts had at least opened the battle field up to what the gym leader was going for. Time to give Seedot a go now. With Nis cradling the defeated fairy type and whisking it off the battle field Sin could focus on the match at hand. His sister would take good care of Ralts for him. "Ok your up, Seedot!" Clearly Geodude was stronger but Seedots grass typing give it the advanatge, right ? "Grassy terrier !" Seedot hit the field ready to go but Geodude wasn't just stronger, it was faster.

Roxanne rested a hand on her hip. "That was a good tactic, sorry it didn't work. Or hasn't yet," she remarked, glancing at her Geodude, who was still struggling with his confusion. Luckily, as the next pokemon was released, he quickly shook his head and lifted himself, at least appearing ready to go. Roxanne's eyes widened as the other trainer gave an order, and she quickly stepped forward, lifting her arm to do the same. "Rock Throw, Geodude! This one looks stronger!" she ordered. With another shake of its head, Geodude reached down, scooping up several rocks and hurling them at the opponent. As the terrain became coated in grass from the opponents move, he shifted to do the same, hurling another attack consecutively to try and take it down.

Sin gritted his teeth watching as the battle was turned against him without even the slightest chance of counter attacking. He only had Minun left to battle with and looking to his shoulder the small electric mouse didn't look eager to get sent against this bruiser. Nis stood and came to his side. "Lets switch out. Good work brother." Nis said giving a kiss no her brothers check and pushing him out of the challengers box so she could replace him. Facing her opponent she swallowed hard considering the options left to her. If Sin couldn't beat her and she'ed pretty much walked right over Sin what chance did she stand? The Geodude was already confused so no point sending out poor Ralts to meet the same fate as her brothers. "Ok, your up lotad!" Looking to her brother she had to at least thank him for the grassy terrain. It be a big leg up in beating this Geodude. "Ok lotad bubble !" Sin approved of her move choice with a silent smile as he tended to his two pokemon but again the Geodude was much to fast landing an attack even before the Lotad could power up the attack.

Roxanne waited while the twins switched places, folding her arms, but quickly dropping them as she saw the pokemon that was sent out. "Geodude! Quickly use Rock Tomb!" she instructed. She sighed as, shortly after, a bubble attack brought her pokemon down, but recalled it with a smile. "You did exceptional, Geodude. A plus." Tucking the pokeball away, she gave a nod to Lotad. "I'm surprised you two didn't open with that one! It might have saved your other two pokemon from fainting," she remarked, grabbing her next pokemon, "But now, you'll have to deal with my next pokemon! Let's go, Nosepass! Let's finish it off with another Rock Tomb!"

Worst still was that now the gym leader held such a full advantage. With only a Ralts and their electric mice pokemon neither sibling considered this match winnable. Looking back to her brother none verbally asking if she should go on. Sin declined his head with a nod. It was over. No point of risking the safety of their pokemon. Isis had taught them that much long before they even had pokemon of their own.
Nis was just about to admit defeat when a thought struck her. She stopped short of stepping out of the challengers box eyes locked on the blue line that boxed her in. Maybe there was still a chance. "Sin, check the typing of her pokemon! Remember Gilbert said this was a rock gym but not all rock types are ground type right ?" Nis had regained his enthusiasm. Her sibling paused trying to process this. His sister actually having a legitimate point on battling. What new hell was this!? "Umm yeah give me a second." Confusion as to which alien civilization had replaces his twin sister with a robot slowed his hands as he pulled out the pokedex from his pants pocket. "Nosepass, The compass pokemon, Details. Rock type, This pokemon ~" Clapping the device closed before it could go anyt further. Sin looked up to his sister then over to the gym leaders pokemon. There is was. Victory wasn't so out of reach after all. Nis was back in gear and hyped for round two now. Mom had never taught them to give up without a fight. Quite the opposite really. also push forwards if there's a chance for a good outcome. "Ok, Volt your up !' The tiny yellow and red electric mouse pokemon leaped from its trainers shoulder taking point on the arena floor. "Pluss" Small electric sparks stabbed at the air around its checks and tail. "Nis, be smart about this alright!" Sin encouraged sounding more like a scolding teacher. "Right. Okay lets open with nuzzle!" It wasn't much but it might just slow that big rocky face down and give Minun the edge later on. Nis and Sin both knew to win this match it might take every pokemon they had to throw at the problem. Each contribution to the end result, Victory !

Roxanne blinked curiously at the two's reactions. Their teams must not have been good type match ups against hers, given their reactions. Still, clearly one of them had an idea. Obviously, she wasn't made clear of it until the next pokemon was released-- but once she realized it was an electric type, and remembered them mentioning ground types, she put two and two together. They were going to try for paralysis. Another fair tactic, but it didn't always pull through. She folded her arms over her chest, quickly giving another order-- "Rock Tomb, Nosepass!" -- but was surprised when her opponent's pokemon struck first. It was fast! It must have been stronger than the others. Frowning, she dropped her arms, lifting her hand up. "Another Rock Tomb, Nosepass! Take advantage of that speed drop!" she instructed. Her pokemon quickly rushed forward with the attack, and she gave a quiet sigh of relief. Grassy Terrain was gone. That was good-- the other pokemon, if it really was stronger, would have been gaining more health than her own pokemon would have. Not to mention, she now had the advantage of speed again. If Nosepass could just keep pulling through paralysis and landing those hits...

Nis was at the edge of his seat, no scratch that he was standing up. "Come on plusle you've got this !"Mi nin nin !" He and his Minun cheered. Nis gave a confident nod as Plusle looked back after taking two well placed attacks. The gym leader was brutal. Her tactic to slow her opponents down and take advantage of that sudden lose in speed to get in a second attack before the challenger could counter wasn't just smart it was down right devastating. Any chance of a quick and clean victory was lost with one hit from either of her pokemon. "Ok, lets follow up with an Electro Ball Volt!' Ah, so they did have a more powerful attack... Well that was certainly something, then. And if they had a full team, then they had more pokemon, too. With Nosepass' lack of resistance, this was going to do a bit of damage, on top of that. She would have to be careful... There may indeed be more hope for the twins than she thought. Especially if that paralysis kicked in. "Nosepass, use another Rock Tomb!" Speak of the devil. Just as she feared, as her pokemon lurched forward to attack, static sparked around, and she froze. She could see her strain against it, but there was no hope-- her opportunity to attack was lost.
