A strange force came over a young male, he felt uneasy, like something was wrong. There was a strange pulling at his soul, leading him to the source. He could feel deep sadness, and helplessness. He started sprinting in the direction, and found a young woman laying lifeless as the other sobbed into her body. "What happen?! Are you okay? Is she dead?" He questioned all at once. "Did the crows do this?" He shook his head. "Come with me, my grandma has some herbal healing remedies." He offered his hand to the caretaker, and slide his arm under the lifeless girl's body.

She didn't know how to help a friend let alone who had powers but it wasn't stopping her from trying to help. she colors in her finished drawing of a big tree with blue skies and little fireflies around it."I do wonder Prim if those people we saw , m...m..maybe they could help. though I don't know how we would find them..."

"I don't know I just found her here." Hydro said, relieved for someone finally responding to her pleas for help. She didn't take the man's hand, but said "If you can help her, then please by all means." She reluctantly prepared herself to follow the young man. She didn't really want to feel the need to intervene any further: clearly she wasn't of any help. However, some strain of responsibility in her decided she at least should make sure the mysterious girl was in safe hands before returning. She glanced briefly at the fountain, almost involuntarily. She saw a sliver of sky in the water's reflection.

There is was, the inevitable line of questioning that would have come at one point or another. In all honesty, Lunette was still unsure of what had happened. She now vividly recalled her amethyst glowing and her outfit changing. She remembered the surge of energy coursing through every nerve in her body, giving her a new strength and purpose. Had this same thing happened to other people as well? If so, apparently they weren't talking. Lune was of the same mind. Until those who had "transformed" knew more themselves, it was better not to say anything at all. It made her wonder though, who these other mysterious fighters were and where they were now.

Looking down at her half empty cup, Lunette spoken evenly and carefully, trying to avoid giving the slightest inkling that she had a connection to the bizarre events of the past night.

Lorelei, is it? Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you anything in regard to rumors of transforming people. I was busy just trying to keep myself and that school girl, Seren, from becoming bird seed. I'm sure in all the panic, people's minds probably supplied explanations for what was going on, in order to protect their sanity. A lot of people either passed out or got knocked pretty good in the head, so I'm sure there will be no straight answers and much confusion for quite some time.

Lunette was satisfied with her vague, but mostly honest reply. She had only just met Lorelei. While she was, grudgingly, grateful to the girl for at least getting her out of Barton temporarily, she still didn't know if this girl had any connection to what had happened. As of yet, no one had a clue as to who was behind the attack. It was better to err on the side of caution.

Lunette happened to glance at her watch while she was draining the last drops of tea from her cup. Her eyes bulged in panic.

Oh sweet mother of..I'm late! I've got to get to work or I'm in for it!

Lune 'tskd' as she threw the white cotton hospital sheet off and grabbed her clothes that had been laid on the little beside table next to the hospital bed.

A talking cat in Barton Town wasn't anything shocking or out of the ordinary. The people of Barton Town were quite used to seeing a cat display intelligence and speech. In fact, that same cat once ran a business within the town and nobody thought it was out of the ordinary. That's how commonplace a talking cat was around Barton Town. What was shocking was the fact that it was this particular gray cat that was now talking. Before that morning Kai had not shown any capability of being able to communicate through human speech. Sure Kai was an intelligent house cat but up until that morning he had never spoken a single word.

Still shocked over the fact that it was her gray cat doing the talking and not Ian's, Aylin placed a pair of fingers behind one of his ears as she took in what Kai had said. The fact that he could sense magic like she could had Aylin wondering just what Kai really was. The magic she could sense from him had a very familiar root base, however, that root was firmly grounded in earth based magic. Aylin had a very good suspicion that Kai was never born a gray house cat and that he used to be something else. Why he was a house cat wasn't the issue when there were more pressing matters to attend to.

"But I already tried to determine the type of magic behind the crows yesterday and couldn't feel anything," Aylin finally responded as she began to scratch behind Kai's ear.

"Maybe it's not the crows you should be looking at but the square itself," Kai suggested before giving into the instinct to purr.

Letting out a soft sight Aylin had to admit to herself that Kai was right. The square was the start of all the strange things around Gaia in the last twenty-four hours. However, the attack wasn't what Aylin wanted answers to first. In the ninety-five years since the broach first transformed her it had never once acted on its own until the day before. Aylin knew something had triggered the magic within the broach to cause it to glow the way it had right before she used it to transform. Thinking back on the attack Aylin's eyes went wide as she recalled the strange pink glow that had her transfixed upon the broach. The two it began to seem had some type of connection.

"You know, I think we might get some better answers if we try and find the source of the other magic I saw in the square first. It looked a lot like the glow from the magic within this ancient broach. And if I'm right, someone else out there has a hold of transformation magic and that other wielder looked very young to be using something that powerful," Aylin surmised.

"So what? You want to go looking around the local school yards to see if there are kids dripping with magic," Kai questioned.

"Yep, and the sooner the better," Aylin replied as she picked up Kai and headed towards the high school.

Prim thought about what Yume had said. It might a good idea for her to find a good place such as a forest to train. The only downside was possibly causing some other catastrophe; also the slight fear she had of being eaten by a bear or some other wild animal. She tapped her pencil lightly, thinking. "Yeah. We could try. Let's go after class." She proposed, and gathered her things as class ended. She gave a signal for Yume to follow as she went out of the class.
---
Lorelei listened as Lunette answered her question. She made a slight nod, and finished her cup of tea. It wasn't the answer she was looking for, but she couldn't really expect someone who had fainted to remember everything. Perhaps she only seemed different at the time. Nonetheless, Lore took Lunette's answer and didn't question anymore. Lorelei blinked at Lunette when she mentioned she had to work. She shook her head slightly. "Do you really think you should be going out after what happened? I guess I can't stop you. I'd be glad to give you a ride back to Barton, I'm heading back today for the relief effort. There's also a few more people I'd like to ask about these happenings." She offered in earnest.
----

The male arrived at his grandmother's house with the woman in his arms, and one following behind him. His grandmother was not around, but the door was unlocked so he made his way in. He laid the young girl on his grandmother's bed, and prepared an herbal remedy to revive her. "This should work, it will take a few minutes to take effect." He assured the caretaker. He brought his revival cure to the unconscious girl. He parted her lips so that he could pour the liquid down her throat. All that was left was to wait.

Hydro looked carefully around the house full of herbs and felt the atmosphere as calm and welcoming, and most importantly, safe. There was nothing for her here, and she murmured a thank you quietly, and swiftly slipped out the door back to the place she'd been heading, dropping her school girl disguise yet again for her regular attire. She knew it was a risk to change back to her regular clothes ... but she felt as though she needed as much as of her strength as possible after breaking down like she did for someone she didn't even know.

As Lunette hastily threw on her own clothes and discarded the hospital gown on the bed, she just barely registered Lorelei's misgivings about her being out and about so soon. Lune was made of tougher stuff than most people.

While I appreciate the concern, I have no choice. If I don't get back into town, the store will never get cleaned up properly. Those knuckleheads don't know an invoice from an inventory sheet. Besides, only once things are cleaned can we get the paperwork filled out for insurance claims. I'm sure the boys at the insurance department are going to just love this one.

Now back in her own comfortable denim and leather, Lunette was ready to get back to town. It wasn't just the daunting thought of the cleanup that drove her, she felt some irrational need to go back to the scene where so much had happened less than 24 hours ago.

Lune started to head toward the door, but stopped, one foot outside the doorway. She turned back to Lorelei, who had a dubious expression on her face. Clearly, the woman still thought Lune should be in bed resting.

Look, I can handle this, really. I've taken worse beatings during my training. I'll be fine. I suppose since I don't have my motorcycle here, I may as well hitch a ride back...since you're headed that way. Lune said, completely relaxed and confident.

Yume nods though she hopes they could find a safe place. She didn't want prim or herself to get hurt. But it was their only choice for now so it was better to check it out first. "S...sounds like a plan." She smiles as she turns her attention to the teacher for the assignments until class was over. Yume gathered her things and follows Prim out of the classroom.

Sitting through her class Seren only barely listened to the teacher drone on, all day in the school people gossiped about the events of yesterday. It was amazing how suddenly both those crows and those girls appeared, looking out the window she also wondered how Lunette was doing nobody had called her so she must still be out of it. Shaking her head she decided to get her mind of things for a while, maybe a nice walk during lunch or after school would clear her head.

Barton High School, it was a building that was separate from the other schools in Barton Town. The high school students had their own building and separate classes from the other schools in town, unlike Porta Denia High School. On Porta Denia the high school students shared the halls with the Kindergarten class and the sixth graders in one building. The size of the entire high school on Porta Denia was so small half the entire Freshman class at Barton High School outnumbered it. On Porta Denia Aylin knew the entire student body of at the high school. In Barton Town she barely knew a handful of the kids attending the high school and she wouldn't have it any other way. For Aylin, Porta Denia was an assignment to her while Barton Town was a second home with familial connections.

On Porta Denia everyone knew everything about everyone in the town. The town was so small that it was hard to not know what other people were doing on a daily basis. People on the island gossiped about the smallest thing someone did and by the end of the day everyone knew what everyone else had done. While the town of Porta Denia was a quiet place to live, Aylin didn't enjoy having the entire town know every last detail of her daily life. It was the same way with her clan, Aylin knew every last person in the village. It was why she enjoyed the larger size of Barton Town. There, only her sister-in-law's family and the people in the Barton branch of the GCA concerned themselves with her daily life. And while the new recruits of the Barton Regulars did idolize her and she was on somewhat friendly terms with Leon's mother Oliva, Aylin reveled in the relative anonymity Barton Town afforded her.

It was a part of life in Barton Aylin would fight to protect. She liked not having people know where she was going before she got there and what she would order before she ordered it. Sure there was the talk of her relationship with that particular tree in the Village Greens but the whole town wasn't discussing it. There were actually people who were blissfully unaware of her favorite spot to unwind from the stress of the day. There were people in town who didn't know who she was and Aylin liked it that way.

Those that did know Aylin, outside of her family in Barton, either called her by her first name or preferred to add a Miss in front of it out of respect. They never called her by her last name, maiden or married. She was never Miss Rhys or Mrs. Stewart to anyone in Barton Town no matter how well known her late father-in-law and husband were within the community. It was the one thing Aylin hated being called by people. Because while she preferred the relative anonymity Barton Town afforded her, Aylin still wanted to be on a first name basis with the people who did know her. Simply being Aylin and not the eldest daughter and first born child, by four minute's time, of the ruling family of a clan of pixies meant the entire world to her. Aylin loved not having the expectations of one fourth of an entire race placed upon her shoulders. She loved simply being Aylin Rhys, another face in the crowd around Barton Town.

And that was why at that very moment Aylin reveled in the fact that she was totally unaware of who the wielder of the other transformational magic could be. She loved the fact that nobody knew it was she who had transformed into some type of ancient magical warrior. The solving of the mystery behind who could possibly hold that much power had Aylin grinning from ear to ear. It was something that had not gone unnoticed by Kai despite the fact that he was now perched upon her shoulder. Aylin loved a good mystery and adventure and Kai was going to learn just how much.

"You're loving this aren't you," Kai asked Aylin as she leaned against a tree outside of the high school.

"Of course I am. It's been a long time since I've done something like this. And no I'm not talking about transforming into ancient magical warrior. Orrin and I used to pull stakeouts like this a lot during our adventures together. It became very hard to do things like this when he became sick," Aylin replied with a small chuckle as she adjusted her glasses with a pink sleeve covered hand.

Kai hadn't known Aylin for very long but the gray cat could sense a feeling of loss and longing hidden under the chuckle she let out. Letting feline instincts take over the cat began rubbing his head against her cheek. It seemed as though there were times when the cat forgot what it was like to be the species he once was. Depending on others to get him food and water was a major downside to having his magic somehow lock him as a gray cat. However, Kai believed things happened in his life for a reason and if he never went back to the way he used to be then the universe, or Gaia herself, had a very good reason for him turning into a gray cat.

"So are you getting anything yet," Kai wondered trying to get Aylin back to the task at hand.

Letting out a deep breath Aylin closed her eyes for a moment and concentrated upon the energy flowing around the school. The lines of magic flowing within the school grounds were both faint and strong at the same time. The faint lines were laced with the water based magic Aylin had detected the day before coming from the small cold cloud she had encountered. That particular bit of magic still puzzled Aylin but it was of no concern at the moment. The grounds around the entrance to the school were also flowing with the remnants of very strong transformational magic. The moment she felt the magic Aylin's popped open in surprise. They had found where the source of the pink glow was located . Now all they needed to do was wait for the person behind the magic to reveal themselves.

"We found the right spot. Now all we need to do is wait for right person. It won't be long now because I can feel it getting closer," Aylin responded as she kept a close watch on the doors to the high school.

Well, green eyes blinked, I certainly wasn't expecting this. An man, unbeknownst to her sight, had taken the liberty of caring for her unconscious body. As grateful as Aureate is, she could not help but feel the slow crawl of suspicion rise beneath her skin as she watched the man take her to a house full of herbs, much to the brunette's delight, and create a liquid solution that brought surprise to the woman's current demeanour. Revival, eh? she thought with a growing smile, never have I tried this before, but this man has definitely caught my attention. The woman stood by a tree, looking at the window as the man poured the cure into her throat and soon enough, she could feel drowsiness before a strong force tugged at her very being and all there ever was became dark.

It was a few more minutes, give or take, before the brunette awoke. A small groan escaped pink lips as dreary forest orbs revealed themselves. Aureate first noticed the man sitting next to her, and naturally felt the need to ask who he was. A rough scratch of her throat had stopped her from saying a word, and then a series of painful coughs emerged from the weakened woman. Aureate looked up to the man and hoped her eyes provided enough message.

"Alright, shall we be going then?" Lorelei offered, setting her cup of tea down on the nurses' station. She didn't get all of the answers she was looking for but it was okay. Perhaps investigating during the day would prove to be helpful to finding the answers she wanted; she didn't want to keep Lunette cooped up in the hospital either. She guided Lunette out to her car which was parked near the front of the hospital. The drive was short, they had arrived in Barton Town, in the middle of the square. She stepped out and looked around. She could see the citizens starting to rebuild the town. She felt it would be best to let Lunette get to work now, and she could join the relief effort. "It was a pleasure to meet you Lunette, but I'll let you go to work now. I'll be around to help with the cleanup, but I need to go back to Aekea after a while." She took her leave, joining the group. Lorelei knew there would be more people to question, so she could find the answers she needed.
---

Prim cautiously made her way out the school. She was paranoid, hoping there were no teachers or people she knew besides her friend Yume. Admittingly, Prim felt guilty for dragging Yume into things in the first place, she just wasn't sure who else to tell, since she had fallen out with Lunette. Yume was there for her, and that's what Prim needed; a supportive friend that she could depend on and spend her time with. "Okay. I think we're good." Prim was now outside the gates, and heading to a place to train. She wanted to avoid the square for now, since it was being rebuilt, and too many people would be witnesses; she wanted to keep her alter identity under wraps.

---

The male breathed a sigh of relief as the brunette woman stirred. He was glad to see that his efforts weren't in vain. He held her hand and smiled. "Are you okay? You seemed as though you were at your death bed. A kind young woman was mourning for you, and it alerted me. I brought you here in hopes that I may have had a cure. Sure enough it worked and you're alive." He was just happy to see that the woman was able to respond, and that he was able to save her.

Lunette gazed briefly after the disappearing form of Lore's car as she headed off to help others rebuild after the previous day's disaster. The Town square was a mess of broken glass, trash, and black bird feathers. Even though many citizens had been hard at work int eh cleanup process for several hours now, there was still a haunted look in the eyes of those Lunette saw. People were still confused, not to mention on edge.

Heaving a sigh, Lunette strode off in the direction of Pulse Edge Music. Weaving through the crowd of people carrying buckets of glass and rebuilding materials, Lune finally arrived in front of what used to be her place of work. To just look at it, the damage was overwhelming. The large front window was completely smashed, the fragments glittering on the ground in the morning sun. Some of the wood frame had even been ripped off from the force of the crows smashing through the glass. Several of the bulbs from the marquee sign outside had been busted as well.

Inside the store, much of the inventory was on the ground, scattered in the panic as people had run for their lives and knocked over display cases. From the look of things, one would have believed it to be the aftermath of an invasion or a terrible wind storm. Amazingly, every last one of Pulse Edge's employees were there to help in the efforts, whether they were scheduled to work that day or not.

Lunette shook her head and dismissed her mental evaluation of the situation and barged through the front door, which happened to be hanging from one hinge at the moment. The cleanup would be minimal, it was really straightening that had to be done. Without so much as a word of greeting to any of the other employees, Lune dived in and started grabbing handfuls of merchandise to sort into their proper sections. If things went right, they would be able to reopen for business in the late afternoon, even if all they could do was accept gold on hand instead of the Gaia Credit Card.
