Tsuru placed the final piece of fabric in the box, the fine silk slipping like water out of his hands. He was careful to fold along the creases, and dust off both sides, hurriedly throwing it on top of the different building materials the box. Satisfied, he stood up, turning toward Tsukiko and Hoshirin. "Ah, I got it all straightened up..." Tsuru looked around for the two young men, but he couldn't see them. " Uh..." What was he supposed to do now? Tsuru looked down at the box, then around the market nervously. He couldn't just leave it here, but... his lunch...! The box was much larger then Tsuru could lift. Maybe there was an address on it? He stooped down to check. Not that it would help...

Tsukiko sat in a chair in front of the medicine shop his mothe rowned. He was sewing the weding gift for Taini. The haka was so exxcited and hoped that the blonde gehaka would like his family. His own mother was really pleased that the wedding was going to be sooner.

Taini needed to apologize. He felt the need very strongly. After what had happened at his house... his gut still wrenched around at the thought of them sleeping together before their wedding. They shouldn't have given in so easily.
The blonde gehaka walked onto the main street, present in hand. He had worked on it harder than almost everything else. He couldn't sleep, and it showed with the bags under his eyes. A newly healing cut showed on his stomache, from a spar recently.
He carried a carved wooden box, very small. The lid was decorated with sakure blossoms, carved in full bloom. It slid off to the side, and the wood itself was cherry.
Inside was a thick wooden bracelet, made of oak. It had been sanded so it was lighter in color, and a single cherry blossom bloomed among the waves of a river on it. Taini hoped it would please the chocolate haka.
He began to carry himself up the steps... when he saw the haka in question sitting outside of the shop already.
"Tsukiko-san...."

A pale young haka ran out of the shop carrying silks in his arms. The haka had long, silky, raven hair just like Tsukiko's and he had bright green eyes. "Tsukiko! Tsukiko! I wasn't sure which silk you wanted so I took all of them from mom's closet. I hope I don't get scolded" He said and then spotted Taini. "Is that your fiance Tsukiko? Because he's hot! Hey you, wait ten years and you can have me!" Tsukiko smiled and picked out the olor silk he liked best. He let out a little chuckle to his brother's comment. "no this is good, thank you and yes, he's my fiance so he's off limits to you" He said and looked at Taini. "I'm glad to see you. This pestering little haka is my little brother Ren." He introduced and smiled. "I'm so glad that you came to visit me"

Taini was shocked by the little haka. But...it seemed to run in the family. "Hello Ren, its nice to meet you. I am Taini Mabyn." His blue eyes drifted to Tsukiko's ever smiling face. His own seemed...guilty.
"Forgive me for what happened Tsukiko-san," he pleaded quietly, stepping toward his little one. He held out the cherry box, the gift nestled in pink silk much like Tsukiko's obi. It had cost him much of his saved money...but Taini didn't care. He wanted the best for his love.

The little haka pouted. "It's no fair. How come the cute one goes to the weird one of the family?" He asked, folding his arms across his chest. His ears perked up and he turned his head to see Kratos coming out. "Kratos!" He exclaimed and jumped on the gehaka. "I hate you! Did you know that?!" He said playfully. Kratos grunted. "good cause I hate you too" "It's okay. There is no need to apoligize because it wan't your fault" Tsukiko said, ignoring his siblings in the background. He took the box. "is this the wedding gift for me? I'm still working one yours" He asked.

Taini looked at Kratos for a moment, looking for the bruises he knew the other had. He himself had a good one on his back, and the cut across his stomache. It had come from sparring with Kratos.
"No Tsukiko, its just a gift. Your wedding gift won't be given to you until the day of our wedding." He smiled slightly, feeling better. He sat down on the porch, an eyebrow raised. Apparently everyone in the family thought that his Tsukiko was a bit crazy. It didn't matter, as Taini thought quiet differently. "I hope you like it little one." He smiled at Tsukiko.

A tall, skinny haka came out of the shop. His skin was much darker than Tsukiko's, almost like coal. He spotted the silk in Ren's arms and frowned. "Ren, I've told you a million times not take stuff from my closet and get off of Kratos. He has work to do" Ren giggled and slid down Kratos onto the floor. Kratos walked away, heading for the Xang Xou river. "sorry mom, I won't do it again" He said though by the looks of his face, he didnt' mean it. The haka looked at Taini, giving a approving nod. "I want you to take good care of my son. I almost feared that he would waste his life away waiting for something that does not exist, love." In the mother's eyes showed sorrow upon speaking the word love. He turned around and walked back inside. "I don't know why mom doesn't believe in love. I keep on telling him that I love you and he says that what I'm feeling for you isn't love but....something else" He said to the other. "I'm sorry, but a child is here. Thank you for the lovely gift." Tsukiko looked off into the distance. "I'm always wondering where Kraots came from. He doesn't look like any of mom's ten husbands" He said thinking aloud.

Taini already knew the family's secret. Kratos had spoken of it down at the river... Apparently, Tsukiko did not know. He would keep it that way if Tsukiko's mother wished it so.
"I'm sorry Tsukiko-san, but I must speak with your mother. I'll be right back," he brushed hands with the other for a moment, before walking into the house after the other haka.
"Excuse me! Fujiwara-sama...May I speak with you," his head was bowed low, ponytail dropped over his muscled shoulder and swinging back and forth.

Fujiwara, Haku turned his head to see the blonde gehaka enter. "yes, what do you wish to speak with me about?" He asked as he walked behind the counter. He could have a husband of his do this job but he would have nothing to do and Tsukiko's mother was a person who liked to be kept busy.

"Kratos spoke of what the family secret was...right before we sparred... I am asking if you wish it to be kept from Tsukiko." He wouldn't tell anyone who didn't already know, but Tsukiko would be very hard for him to keep such a thing from. "Our of respect for you Fujiwara-sama, I will, though it will be the hardest thing in my life to do. To keep something from... Tsukiko-san." He said the name with fondness, his love shining in his eyes as he looked at the mother of his love. " I love him deeply. And keeping anything from him hurts."

Haku looked at the floor. "It may seem that it is my decision that it be told but it is not. Stuff like that is kept in secret but I leave the decision to Kratos. He wished to tell you so he did so but he doesn't want Tsukiko to know for he fears that Tsukiko will give him the sympathy that he does not want. I am to respect my gehaka's wishes." He replied. Haku was one who never said no to Kratos as he favored his gehaka son more than his two haka children mostly because he looked almost exactly like his father. "and I do not know who has raised you but I believe that there is no such thing as love"

"I will not tell him then," Taini then grinned, as his mask was down, showing ever emotion and all the passion he had," I was raised, not even knowing what love was, I had to ask my mother's second husband to help me even understand. While I feel lust as well, it is different.... I guess we can agree to disagree Fujiwara-sama. I promise you, no harm with befall Tsukiko-san while I can stop it. And that house will become a home. Only the best for Tsukiko." His grin became a soft smile.

"hn. We'll see. Just hope that Tsukiko doesn't get antoher husband soon. Then you will realise that love was never there in the first place" Haku muttered. "you should go outside now I'm sure that Tsukiko is waiting for you"

Ah yes, the ever...other husbands. That stung a bit. Taini nodded and returned to Tsukiko's side.
"Sorry Tsukiko-san, just something I needed to understand." He smiled softly, still trying to grasp the fact that he would evenutaly have to share Tsukiko with some one else. It really stung. And it began to work doubt into what he felt. Was it really love? On both ends? Or did Tsukiko... just confuse lust for love? Would he "love" another as well? Taini kept a smile on his face, that mask as stone cold and set as ever.
"What are you working on Tsukiko-san?"
