Bukotsu had taken Medei by the hands and observed a bit before finally analyzing her hand size, "Alright, well now I know your glove size, I can now make your pair," Bukotsu said as he let go.
"Your hands are very soft too, I like the feel," Bukotsu smirked as he turned his attention back to making the gloves.
"Better get to work," Bukotsu reminded himself as he threaded the needle and began short work on the snakeskin gloves. He was so eager to please, which seemed to be one of his better qualities.

"Thank you. My hands are one of the few things in life that I cherish. They've always kept me safe." Medei replied to his response to how soft her hands were. She watched him for a moment, before stepping back.
Once she was safely a good distance from him, she literally set herself aflame, in order to dry off. She didn't want to be bringing water into the shops she was to visit.
"I guess while you are doing that, I will go get food to make lunch with." Medei replied happily. Wiping off the sand from the bottom of her feet, she slipped on her shoes, and playfully blew Bukotsu a kiss before taking off. What the hell are you doing Medei? Are you crazy? She thought to herself.

Bukotsu's face shot red in an instant, obviously he wasn't used to girls doing something like that on the first day they meet. Bukotsu had been pre-occupied to notice that he sewed some of his own glove to the serpentskin.
"GEhh......" Bukotsu said as he loosened and pulled back the thread to undo the sewing a bit. Medei's hands were inbetween small and medium, just quite smaller than Bukotsu's own hands. But Bukotsu had the image of Medei blowing a kiss at him seemed to have stuck in his head the entire time he was concentrating on the gloves. He then slowly rolled out the gloves transfroming it from inside to out making it look like a thinner and slimmer version of his own Sevenspirits serpentine gloves. But he set a slight color dye to it as it appeared to be black, but had a tint of orange in it's shine.
"She might like the color scheme...or at least I hope she does..."Bukotsu said as he then looked at the serpent's teeth. He quietly began pulling the teeth out and setting them in his side pouch. The teeth he pulled out were almost as long as his fingers, and appeared to not have any blood. Bukotsu theorized since the serpents were able to bite into each other, that meant the only force able to piece the durability and strength of the gloves were the teeth alone. Bukotsu would observe and study this and possibly use the teeth later on.
Picking up the carcass and carrying it into the water, Bukotsu let the carcass float deep into the ocean as it disappeared in a matter of seconds due to the rip currents.

Medei knew how Bukotsu must have reacted. She would have reacted the same way. I only meant for it to seem playful. I'm in such a happy mood. She thought. It was true. Medei had made such a wonderful friend, that she was having a better day than she started out having.
Walking into a shop, she browsed the food items, until she found what she was looking for. She purchased paper plates, hamburger meat, the buns for the burgers, and feeling extra good, she bought some chips. Paying the lady at the counter, she carried her goodies back to their little spot in the sand.
As Medei made her way back to the spot where Bukotsu and her were sitting, she smiled. "Bukotsu, they look lovely." She said to him as he came back from disposing of the serpentine body. They truely did look lovely. Black with an orange tint. It made her smile to think they rather matched her phoenix.
Medei unwrapped the hamburger meat, and began to form patties with her hands. "How do you like them cooked?" She asked. She knew how she liked her food. Cooked all the way through, and the outside just a little black and crispy.

"Well, I'm glad you like them," Bukotsu said as he patted of his hands and washed them in the water a bit as he came over to Medei. He smiled and took a seat right next to her. For a second he thought, and then made up his mind and replied, "I like my burgers alittle between being well done, and burnt, I somehow don't like the idea of eating a moist or wet meat..." Bukotsu said as he looked to the sun, it still seemed about an hour after noon. The day was still pretty young, "Well, the day seems pretty fresh still, would you like to go out and do something fun?" Bukotsu asked as he looked over at Medei.
Although to him, he didn't notice that he seemed to have asked Medei on a date. Although as gifted as he was in forms of martial arts, a botannical alchemy genius, and sewing wizard, he seemed to not have excelled with normal mentallity since he wasn't really the down to earth type.

Medei smiled, and cooked the patty that was in her hand. The flame was small, but powerful none the less. Though she was sitting down, the parts of the phoenix on her right arm glowed brightly.
When the first burger was cooked the way he liked, she slid it onto a plate for him. "You and I prefer our meat cooked the same way." She continued cooking until the meat was all cooked. She wrapped up the extras and made her own burger. She took a bite and smiled again as she offered him chips.
After she swallowed the bite in her mouth, she looked at him. Is he asking me on a date? We'll just have to see. I would love to go out and do something fun. Though I doubt this day could get any better." Medei replied. She seriously didn't think it could get any better. She'd been having so much fun already.

"Hmmm, well then I must compliment you have good taste in food then," Bukotsu laughed lightly, Bukotsu said as he graciously accepted her burger. As he reached into the bag for chips and set some on a plate, he smiled, "Thank you for making lunch," Bukotsu said as he took a bite into his burger. Amazed he took another bite and allowed himself to chew and swallow, "This is very good," Bukotsu commented after he had properly swallowed his food.
Bukotsu had been having a field day of his own, going out and working himself for the good of another, on top of that being able to get the serpent 5-6 times faster than last time. On top of that, he had the best burger of his life in his hands and to top it all of, sitting next to the most interesting girl he had met at Ria so far.
"How's about we chill out after eating, and then after we can do some surfing," Bukotsu smirked almost sounding like a big kahuna of the surf.

"Thank you. Something about my meat still bleeding when I bite into it just isn't appetizing." Medei replied. It was true. Food, at least certain ones, was meant to be cooked thoroughly.
"I enjoyed making lunch. It was easy. I'm glad you are enjoying it." She laughed. She was happy that he liked his food. Though, she would have gladly made him something else had he asked.
Medei took a deep breath and smelled the salty ocean water. The wind was blowing slightly, and it felt good to have the hair lifted off her neck. She'd been made a pair of gloves that could enable her to do so much more now, thanks to Bukotsu.
She smiled when Bukotsu mentioned surfing, and then she laughed. "Trying to kill me all in one day? I don't know how much more water I can take." She tried to sound jokingly, but she knew it couldn't help but come out seriously. She wanted to hangout with him more, but she didn't know if surfing was the best way. "I can always be your cheering section, though I think you need more than one person for that. I wouldn't mind it though. Don't feel put out, if you want to still go, I would be the last person to stop you." Medei said with a bit of a strong tone. She honestly didn't want to disable him from having fun if that is what he wanted to do. She would just sit on the shore and watch.

"Hmm..Well we could just take a walk and explore the town..." Bukotsu said changing his mind as he remembered what she had mentioned to him earlier about her water problems.
"I mean well it is for your safety and such, and well I wouldn't mind taking this time to know you better instead you know?" Bukotsu smirked as he finished the last few bits of his burger. Taking several chips with his fingers and scarfing them down, he had finished rather quickly.
"I hear this place is quite nice and more active at night with beach parties and bonfires and such, but how's about it? We go around, talk, play around, find dinner and I guess I'll walk you back to campus like any guy would," Bukotsu said as he patted the crumbs off of his hands and such before reaching for a napkin to wipe his mouth with. Apparently, he was in the presence of a lady, so he had to use the napkin rather than using his hands.

"That would be fun. I'm just happy to be out and about really. I'm enjoying myself so extensively." Medei said, smiling.
Medei finished her burger, and since she had her last mouthful of food, she nodded in response to his quip about her safety. It touched her a little that he would be looking out for her, when she was used to just looking out for herself.
"Do you normally attend things like that, or are you more introverted? I wouldn't mind getting to know you a bit better either. You intrigue me on many different facets. Since we seem to know what we are going to do, where are we going to explore first?" She said, and then took a napkin, and disposed of any and all crumbs on her, including her hands and face. Medei began to clean up the small pile of mess they had.

"Uhmmm, well I usually don't go to bonfires since I get invited to too many and well there are some cases where someone might think I chose a better party to go to...so yea.....Anyways, there was a mall I saw on our way here, I haven't seen it before and never been in there, how's about we do some sprawling around at the mall?" Bukotsu asked after making a point politely.
"You missed some," Bukotsu said as he took a napkin and gently wiped some crumbs off her cheek. After doing so, he disposed of the napkin by setting it on his plate and setting it in an empty grocery bag using it like a trash bag. He held it out to her for her to dispose of the trash.
"You're an interesting person yourself, I mean you're one of the few people who has not walked out on me in the middle of a conversation or thought I was too awkward to be around, I'm glad you don't see me like everyone else does," Bukotsu spoke as he gave Medei with cleaning the mess. Bukotsu was really referring how most people would just see him as some guru that has gone bonkers, or that people thought he didn't seem to fit in since he seemed like the strong silent militant type since he was from a military academy.

Medei laughed. "I can see how that would be a problem. And in any case, we could always have one of our own. I mean, it's not like building a fire can be that hard." She smiled, which then again lead to her laughing.
"The mall sounds great. I used to go a lot back home. Mostly by myself, but I think going with you would be better, only because I enjoy your company." A slight blush crept over her cheeks when he wiped off some crumbs that she had missed. "Oh, thank you." Medei replied quietly, as she put the trash into the make-shift trash bag.
"Well, I have no right to judge people on any level. I mean, look at me. I'm not exactly a normal person myself. And, as long as we are enjoying each other's company, why should we part? That is, unless you would like to be alone. I have no problem going away for a while." She would have preferred to stay with him, because she liked his company. He was a very nice, caring guy. There was nothing awkward about him. If anything, she was the awkward one. And she really didn't have a problem leaving him alone if that is what he preferred.

"You're right, I got the best bonfire sitting right next to me," Bukotsu joined in. He then tied a not about the top of the bag as he set it aside to throw away when they were to walk off from the beach.
"Well, now you got me to go to the mall with," Bukotsu smirked as he stood up and patted of the crumbs into the sand since now really cares about a few crumbs in the sand.
"Well, like I said, no one really wants to be alone, they just wanna be with someone they like to be around, and...You're not weird, in fact you seem to be the only girl that was nice enough to cook for me, I mean you're funny, you're nice, you seem to also have a yearning for fun, you'd don't seem so high strung about some things, you're cute, and when the sun hits you just right, you look like a...I really should shut up, I think I'm rambling again..." Bukotsu interjected as he put back on his camoflauge pants, and along with it fitting his green military shirt and armored vest.
"Ready when you are..." Bukotsu said as he swung his backpack over his shoulder and picked up the trash bag.

Medei blushed slightly when he said he had the best bonfire sitting right next to him. Perhaps it was true, but only in time, would it be told.
"Thank you Bukotsu. I'd love to have you go with me to the mall. I think it'd be fun." She really did. When you go to the mall, it's fun and all, but if you're alone, it gets boring. And lonely.
Medei looked at him when he began to talk about how she looked when the sun hit her just right, before he stopped. "Please, tell me what you were going to say. I'm not trying to fish for compliments, I would just like to know what you were thinking. I think you are the first guy who's told me, at least to my face, that I was cute. And you weren't rambling. It was pure thought. Premeditated." Her blue eyes bore into his, trying to find the answer.
When it seemed they were ready to go, she stood up, and brushed the sand off of her. Well, as much as she could get. "I'll carry that if you like." She said, pointing to the trash. She wasn't carrying anything else.

"???...Oh well you would look like a beauty of the beach if the sun were to hit you just right, you would look a bit radiant at that point," Bukotsu smiled lightly in spite of how his cheeks became a hinted and fadded color of red. He was rather jittery and shy at this moment. But looking at her now, Bukotsu did notice the sun hitting her right, and his face lit up a bit glancing back over and over at her.
"What I was thinking? Like how I would react or deal with things? Or perhaps something else?" Bukotsu said as he looked over at Medei who apparently was looking for something in him since her eyes were so drawn to his.
"Uuuhmmm...Well, It's ok I got it," Bukotsu said holding up the trash bag. He moved out of the way for Medei to walk up first, "Ladies first," Bukotsu gave a laugh along with a hand gesture telling her to go on.
