Otto sniffed, trying to regain his composure. She said he was smart... he could be brave... he could... He steeled what bravery he had, softly pulling away from Maebe. Okay! The little boy walked timidly towards another pool. He knelt and took a sip. His heart beat was erratic now. He was so terrified of this place. He'd never get out. He'd always be stuck here; young, afraid and running from bugs. Otto started to cry again. [ Bradley ] [ Pools 3 / 4 ] [ Effects: Fear, Youth (Age 28 ), Insanity ]
He was older, he was slighlty... paranoid, and had seen someone trip out on his face. Or about his face rather. Bradley was starting to think this whole thing was a terrible idea, but he had to get to the top of the tower. He had to make sure he could reach it.
Because he was being told to. Yes. Because his superiors told him to.
So this time he drank from another pool. He thought it was yellow, but really hoped it wasn't because ewwww. Ew. Just. Ew.
He felt... jittery? Was that the right word? Perhaps gitty was better. He felt slightly giggly as well. It was a laughing pool clearly! Though it did make all those shadows look very friendly. But were they friendly? Or enemies! Should he find out, or should he run?
Bradley couldn't quite tell to be honest. Too many options, too many options... so many options.

What the unholy living <********> was going on?! A soaking wet, mildly-yellow Hanna was screaming something about the OPIATE OF THE MASSES in some highbrow ******** bullshit tone while slapping Cami repeatedly over and over. Considering she hadn't gotten Jasper to put away his weapon this was decidedly troublesome for more than just the fact that Cami was about to have a killer headache. Shoving the smaller girl back the Sun trainee (who was slightly more muscular than her twenty-two year old self would be) raised her own hand in response. "So help me GOD if you don't get a grip I will get one FOR you, Hanna Nowicki!" Her growl was ferocious and in that moment Camille was every inch her mother in a fury which, in all, felt rather good and glorious. She wasn't afraid! Not of Hanna, anyway.

When Cami grabbed her, Hanna hissed (no really, like an angry cat), snapped her teeth inches from the other girl's face Iceman-in- Top Gun-style, crossed her arms in an x and bounced them at her crotch as if to say "suck it", and then sprinted straight out the door, cackling maniacally. Hanna out.

Another sip of a pool had Otto crying, and the sound made it hard for Maebe to breathe. She pulled him back for another round of comfort, but this time she busied her hands with active duties. She tied his shirt so it wasn't dragging, and folded up his sleeves. She did the same to the pants that almost fell off of him, folding them up to stop dragging on the floor. Then she brushed all of his hair out of his face, rubbed his cheeks with her thumbs until they felt dry, and held his head up high. "You can do this, Otto." She reminded him. "I'm right here. Keep going."

Nio Love 4/4 1 - Rolled a 1 - Pool of Youth (age 16, 5'5") 2 - Rolled a 4 - Pool of Fear 3 - Rolled a 1 - Pool of Youth (age 13, 5'0") 4 - Rolled a 6 - Pool of Youth (Age 10, 4'8") 5 - Rolled a 5 - Pool of Insanity 6 - Rolled a 4 - Pool of Fear 7 - Rolled a 2 - Pool of Age Otto sniffled, staring at Maebe with wide blue eyes as she fussed over him like a mother. Ten year old Otto felt safe and warm with her. She was nice. She was kind, and she cared so much. His clothes had been fixed, his face dried of tears. He'd be okay. Otto took her hand again, slowly and carefully finding the next pool. He let go of her hand, and took a sip. He got up, and as he turned to her, something happened. Otto suddenly found his clothes fit again, albeit they seemed to be rolled up too much. The shirt was tied above his belly button, revealing ab muscles, scarred and trained. His face was a little less childish than he would have been at 19. Handsome. He wasn't cute. He was handsome. Not that he knew this. "Thank ******** God." He huffed, wiping his eye as the emotional roller coaster of being a child wore off. "Let's get out of here." He untied the silly knot in his shirt first.

[ Bradley ] [ Pools 3 / 4 ] [ Effects: Fear, Age (Age 28 ), Insanity, Fear ]
Another pool, how glorious. He'd been to four now, correct? That would get him out of the corridor. He drank from the pool and froze, eyes trained on the shadows.
His hand twitched as he crouched there, heart racing. There was something in the shadows, wasn't there. There had to be. Yes. There had to be...
Upon closer inspection of the planter, there wasn't any.
He kind of wished there had been...

He wasn't sure why she left, but he went beside her as she drank from the pool, and as she did, he watched her age just slightly. He knew it was aging due to the little details that made her look tired. She was still her, and yet different.
He leaned down as she looked at him and smiled. So it seemed he was aging all this time. "Thank you. I can't say my eyes agree, but I'm glad I can still see you from this close. I can say that I do not hate what time has done to you in a few years. You still look beautiful." He touched her cheek before he looked at the water beside them.
Leaning down, he took another sip. Again, he aged. It was starting to become more evident now. His hair was slightly less curly, longer to his shoulders now, and lighter. His eyes were a bit more worn around the edges, and the bright blue was a little duller. He could barely see now, and Rin was more or less becoming a blur. "I guess this is what he wave to look forward to in a few years. I will be needing thicker glasses, that is for sure." He said with a smile and rubbed his eyes a moment before looking about.
"So it seems the horsemen have the fountain of age. I don't see any crusades heading here." He looked to the other pools. Age: 38 Pool of Age: x3 (Cause he certainly wants to get older I guess??)

As Otto drank from his final pool, Maebe winced. She was prepared for more tears, more fits of fear, more awkward childishness. She was prepared for everything. No. No she wasn't. He literally grew as he turned, his childish features melting away in front of her eyes. She had to tilt her head up now to look at him, and when the deed was done, her mouth might have dropped open at the end product. That wasn't fair, now. She didn't need to see this. She didn't need to know what Otto would grow up to look like. She didn't need to know what the future - a future that was not going to involve her - had in store. That wasn't fair."Wait." A higher pitched voice chirped out, as she pulled him back from turning to leave. "Just. Let's uh. Fix.." He'd already fixed his shirt, hiding the miracle underneath them, but everything else was still rolled up. She used this as an excuse to touch what she knew she'd never actually get to have. This was her only time, after all. She unrolled the sleeves of his shirt, unsubtly testing each bicep for firmness. But she refused to look at him, because it was important she didn't see his face. Remembering a good body was one thing, but truly seeing him for what he would become was something she wasn't prepared to endure. It would just be cruel.

Otto stared down at Maebe. "Uh... you know I don't need to be fussed over no more, right?" Why was she touching him so much? He knew it wasn't for something illicit, because she was helping him back into his clothes. She wouldn't even look him in the face. She was blushing. Red. "Um... are you okay? Cami's waitin' for us..."

Still reeling from the slaps she'd taken there was a less-than-patient voice that came through the headset. "Maebe, is everything alright? I just got attacked by a soaked Hanna, something about how she refused to be a slave to love which was the opiate of the bullshit someshit or another." Apparently older Cami was a less patient Cami with a penchant for swearing when she got irritated. It was good to know that some things improved with time. Letting the button go she started to tear off in Creole at poor Jasper, though not really at him more around him. Stopping her tear she tried one more time. "Specifically, is Otto okay?"

Damn him. Damn every single thing about him. Damn that ******** response, and the way he immediately mentioned Cami. Damn every single thing about him from the moment she met him. She was still red, but her initial blush had turned into more of an angry flush at his words. This was a cruel trick of fate. "I'm fine." She stopped fussing with him, turned him around, and shoved him, hard. "Go already." The quicker he got away from her, the less she would have to feel. And there was Cami, instantly asking if she was all right, just like he did. Always caring, always wondering. She refused to look at her, as well, because she refused to be bitter over something she shouldn't care about. Until she, like Otto, asked after him specifically, reminding Maebe of exactly where she stood."He's fine. All your problem, now." The desire to hold back her bitterness melted away once Cami made her actual attention clear, only for Maebe to realize that she, too, had enhanced in assets. Maebe let out a short, exasperated sigh, and waved her hands in the air. "OF COURSE you look like that. Of course." This was exactly the point in time where Maebe decided that she was entirely done with the lot of them. She hardly noticed that there were other people waiting with them for - for Otto, she reminded herself. They were waiting for Otto, because this was where he belonged. She felt like the exit was a million miles away, and it was time to start moving.

"What's got you so pissed---AH" Shoved. Well, fine then. He didn't really care anyway.
Otto moped, sulking as they reached Cami.
"Maebe's bein' a pissy b***h. Let;s go." He growled, shoving passed them all and through the exit.

Cami was confused. Confused, tired, still a little drunk, and still a little afraid. Everything had seemed alright until Hanna had gone batshit insane, until Jasper had gone as silent as the grave, and Maebe and Otto...well. They were fairly normal but she wasn't sure what had happened.
She was damn well going to find out as she snagged Jasper, hauled him through the door behind her, and set her sights.

Blue water again. Had he not drunk enough of it before? Even with a boost in his maturity levels, Finn was not dealing with his situation very well, his whole body trembling now as he let himself fall to his knees, a strangled sob choking out from his throat as he reached down and scooped up the water, bringing it to his lips for a drink.
The panicked feeling became worse. "You can't get me. You wont!" He gasped out, falling over onto his side. "I'll get you first." He cringed, curling up into a ball next to the pool, wrapping his arms around his knees.
He was never going to get out of here.
