"Hyah!" Zin shouted suddenly, tugging on Vivi's reins wildly. She started the horse off her patch of grass, and she trotted reluctantly around the track. Zin grinned wildly and bounced in the saddle with every step. Finally she was concentrating on staying in the saddle, rather than getting the horse to move at all. She gave a whoop when they finally completed their first lap.

'Whoa.' Brown eyes widened as Larisa's first hurdling attempt went sour. The blonde girl had obviously felt goaded into trying even though she was having trouble connecting with her horse. Feeling a little guilty he refrained from teasing her because she looked ready to cry. He kept his attention on Shakuntala's run through the hurdles while Ervette comforted and instructed Larisa on how to improve. Then he waited to see her try again and clapped when she made it the second time through!
"You did it! Ready for another try? I'll race you through the course!" Pumped up, he turned Toby towards the hurdles and spurred him to start on the second hurdle. Amping up speed he hoped his good luck would continue and get him through the class with only a few bruises.
This time the jump wasn't as flawless and he struggled to keep a grip. Still he'd made it over without knocking the hurdle over or hurting anyone so that counted!
Alec had taken a moment to actually get started, but hearing Jeong-jae issue him a challenge, the shorter teen couldn't help but feel a competitive spur. Urging his horse forward, Vivi responded while she sluggish at first not wanting to break into full stride. He had been worried he might miss the first jump, but trusting in the mare's abilities and his own experience with riding he sailed over the first jump with little difficulty.
"Alright, I'm up for a little challenge why not." He nodded, looking confident as he adjusted himself in his seat giving a little sound as he tapped the reigns riding off towards his next jump. Rejoining the little group, he felt confident perhaps he'd be able to manage himself well enough.
Seeing Larisa have a measure of success he gave her a thumbs up. "You can do it!" The other trainee might have been competitive but seeing others succeed was equally as rewarding. He paused a moment to come close to high five the girl. She seemed like she was feeling better, offering a gentle smile.
Vivi seemed to have gotten the idea of what Zin wanted now. She walked in another circle around the lap. Her rider was starting to become more confident in the saddle as well as she figured out how to keep her body centered.
Lip looked at his horse and bit his lip. They played an intense game of stare until they both looked away at the same time. "Alright creature, you see those hurtles... You gotta jump them.." Takes a deep breath and ushers the horse to move and head to the hurtles. Lip's heart pounded something fierce as they approached the hurtle.... and got closer.... and closer... His brows pinched together as he saw the horse give him a look, running around the hurtle and jumping over it the opposite direction... clipping it slightly.
Lip inhaled then slowly exhaled, glaring at the horse.
Larisa beamed at Jeong-jae as he congratulated her, glad she was finally getting a handle on her horse and that no one seemed to be holding her earlier failures against her. She wasn't entirely sure why she'd thought they would, everyone had honestly been so nice to her and it wasn't like she was the only one having trouble, but it was nice to have that reassurance that they wouldn't. The challenge of a race made her hesitate again, suddenly unsure of whether her current control would hold, but with a quick glance at Ervette, she decided she would try anyway. Even if she didn't get it exactly right this time, she could figure out what had gone wrong and try again!
Jeong-jae set out for the second hurdle and, decided, Larisa turned Scout to follow after him. Over he went, though maybe not so well as that first impressive jump, and Larisa urged Scout forward faster to try it as well. They soared over the hurdle, easy as you please, and Larisa laughed again as she started towards the third. "So far so good!"
Before Lip could say anything to the hoofed-beast, it took off to the next hurtle. The young man clung to the reins of the horse, completely forgetting what to be in his startled panic. He pulled on the reins last minute to try and stop his horse before knocking over the hurtle. Oh and did she stop. Liberty completely halted and sent lip flying forward into the hurtle, knocking it off.
He quickly got up and growled at the horse as he dusted himself off, "Holy a**! That was rude!" He made his way to the horse, grabbing the reins and whispering angrily to it. "If you don't cool your s**t, I will make you into horse stew... you hear me... HORSE STEW! I get horse taste pretty good too." He threatened then getting back on the horse.
Okay so maybe threatening the horse was a bad idea. Not only did Liberty try to buck him off but she tried to bite him too! Nearly got him too. He winced as his crotch hit the saddle roughly, letting out a pained expression as his boys ached. Sliding off the horse and slowly getting up and grabbing the reins. Liberty stood there glaring at him as he looked at her with a small playful smile and managed to push out some words, "w..well...played....horse....well...played..."
Painfully pulls himself up, onto the horse.

Ervette in the mean time moved away from the small group she'd given her initial advice too, keeping an eye on the various riders glad at least...some had gotten off on the right foot and had their horses walking. The range of skill sets wasn't bothersome, it just meant she might need to spend some time with a select few if need be. For now she walked her mare, keeping an eye on some of the more dramatic attempts unable to help but smile despite herself.
Fueled by the spirit of friendly competition, the red head moved along to the next hurdle and scaled it without difficulty. Lifting himself off the seat, and leaning into Vivi's body. As he felt the horse land back on all fours, he continued onward. He bounced with every, having some amount of experience with riding he wasn't overly concerned even if the other taller boy beat him.
However, it didn't mean he wouldn't try.

"Next stop! Here goes!" Galloping over to the next hurdle, Jeong-jae led the others through the course, feeling confident. He was a bit of a cocky guy normally, though Hwan was worse, and his freak luck wasn't helping. Toby was still cooperating amicably, a friendly and sweet fellow. If he led him to victory, Jeong-jae decided he'd come back here later with all the goodies to feed him, even if they weren't supposed to. He didn't actually know the rules of the stable but if they didn't catch him it wouldn't matter.
"Hah!" Leaping across with Alec, the boy found himself starting to like the rush of suspense. If the 3D gear was anything like this he was going to enjoy it a lot. Glancing back at Larisa he wondered if she'd have smooth sailing from here on out.
Lip held the reins in one hand, the other in between his legs as he groaned in pain as each movement from the horse. He didn't even care to stop the horse from running into the next hurtle. He was so over riding horses... god did he hate them!.... okay so maybe he didn't actually hate them... he just feared them greatly.
After Liberty bulldozed the hurtle, Lip moved his hand from his pained jewels to pet the horse softly, "Seriously... just... jump the hurtles so we can be done here..." he whispered.

The added pressure of not only his, but Larisa's competition meant he had to keep himself going at a quick, but steady pace as not to mess up and cost himself a miss jump. Grinning ear to ear practically as the female issued her challenge as well he was pleased when he managed to sail over his 3rd run, galloping along now feeling confident enough to run a ta full clip.
"I didn't expect either of you to take it easy no." He retorted, with a confident nod of his head.
Lip groaned as the horse walked over to the next hurtle, looked to Lip then knocked it off with his nose. Then pranced as roughly as possible. Lip whined as his groin ached more, "Why... are you suck a d**k? Not getting any or something...s**t... I swear if you can just jump that damn hurtles, I'll sneak you some carrots or apples... or something... okay?" Hoped his bargaining worked.

Larisa was beginning to feel more and more confident riding the horse as the worked their way through the hurdles. She wasn't going to make the mistake of overestimating herself again, but with two hurdles down it was nice to feel a little triumphant. Alec and Jeong-jae were both doing really good too, so the challenge of the race was still going strong. Honestly, she didn't mind who won or lost, thought she figured Jeong-jae's little head-start probably meant it would be his. This was actually a lot of fun either way!
As she and Scout shot forward over the third hurdle, she glanced up to see how far ahead the two boys were, just in time to catch Jeong-jae glancing back at her. She might not have been so invested in winning, but the fun was in the competition, right? She grinned at him. "Don't get too comfy up there, you two! I'm catching up!"
