Lillian sighed. There was no game that would be worth her time. No game.. worth.. her .. She paused, eying the booth in front of her.
"This.. is hosted by a bookstore..."
Silently, she eyed the boothperson, noticing she seemed about as enthused to be at this place as she was, then began to read the rules.
"Well.. a book would be nice ... If I have to endure pain for a book, it would not be the first time."
She calmly picked up the paper scoop, slowly making her attempt at catching a goldfish.
Edit: She stared blankly at the scoop, obviously missing her target.

Having gone down to visit Lenore at her bookstore again, he was surprised to see a familiar face. The red heads eyes lit up, his feet shuffling a little quicker coming to a halt beside the blonde girl. "Well hey there, fancy meeting you here." He beamed at his long time friend Lillian, giving her a quick hug before stepping back eyeing the paper nets. "Oh man..lets try this again I guess." He laughed sheepishly, sighing at the paper. "This game I swear." He stepped closer to the collection of fish, dipping his net into the water. "How did I know I'd find you at the bookstore." He peered over at her as he tried his first attempt. Woopse. He'd gotten really excited when he saw the fish in his net. Lifting to quickly it plopped back into the water harmlessly, not scoring a point. "...you didn't see that."

She shivered when hugged, not expecting it despite the fact she should have known it was coming. "I knew you were around ... " She stated, still eying he paper scoop. "I just didn't expect you to find me so soon." She finally turned to him, watching him attempt to collect his fish. She was amused he would be trying for a book of all things. "I admit, while me being here is a given, you being here is amusing."
She took her scoop, reaching downward to try for a fish again. Edits: She stared blankly at the scoop again, frustrated now.

Not even noticing her shivering at the physical contact, or perhaps purposely over looking it he simply pouted at her question. "I can be in a bookstore if I wanna...maybe I wanted to get a book for you, or Ashley ever think of that huh?" It certainly wasn't for him, he loved listening to storytellers but reading? No way. It gave him a headache on his own. "Uh huh. You're having about as much luck as I am with this." He chatted on as he went for another goldfish lowering his net in for a second time into the water. Then his eyes went really big. Again, perhaps even the same fat lazy little fish lazily swam into his net. Lifting up gingerly he blinked at it. "Oh. Hello there?!" He blinked at the fish in question quizzically.

Her brow arched, watching him snag the fish. " I think.. about a lot of things. Most of them don't involve you in bookstores is all. Congratulations for your new Carassius auratus auratus, you're -Goldfish-" She looked down to have one last try with her scoop, aiming at the biggest fish she saw. Edits: With a sigh, she missed the fish, watching it swim away from her.

"I know the sign says we can't keep them, but the girl who runs this booth said if we really wanted it meant she could be out of here sooner." he was already carefully putting the fish in a bag.
She had spouted off some long name, ending in the word 'goldfish'. The red head just blinked at the other staring at her. "Uhh..thank you? But--" He paused eyeing his fish prize.
"Um..hey Lily." he asked her gently, touching the girls arm lightly tapping it. "You know our cats will eat this poor fellow, and even if Ashy would love a new fish take it." He offered her the fish in a bag.
With last try in mind, he grabbed for a net, dipping it into the water. Unlike his second try, this one was a complete and utter failure. "Yea I didn't think so." he watched as the fish zipped away hiding behind others like it.
"yea, you can have this. I'm gunna look for a picture book and bring it home." Not for him, but the young girl at home.

She eyed the bag sternly. "Just what am I going to do with this again ...?" She sighed, knowing challenging his decision would get her nowhere. She could sneak the fish back, but he might notice. " FINE. I'll take the thing." She grabbed the bag with another sigh. She looked at the fish, watching it swim around in the clear, plastic bag. "Father DID want me to make a friend.. I'm not quite sure you count, but he gave no specifications."

[exit we'll go game hunting after I wake up/you get on if you wanna!] "Yeaah, I'd say he is a pretty good friend..even if he'll just stare and swim." He chuckled a bit, making his book choice based on the dog on the cover before trotting back to the girls side. "Say wanna go try and find something else to do? I know where all the booths are. We can swing by your place and drop off your new friend." Alec headed for the door, glancing back at the taller girl his enthusiasm never wavering. If anything the fiery red head seemed confident in her presence. "Thanks again Lenore, have a good evening!" he called to the girl waving to her smiling. He'd have to stop by again when he didn't have a friend in tow. As he'd promised, he would always go out his way to stop and greet the quiet girl who read and was so watchful behind the counter.

Farvardin had wandered around town lost for the most part. She managed to find the bookstore booth and paused. Yeah she'd try this game again. Maybe she'd have better luck without her friends here. She took up a paper scoop and tried to catch a fish. However as soon as she dunked the scoop into the water it broke. No fish this time.

With a sigh Farvardin discarded the broken scoop. She grabbed a new one and tried again. "Come on fishie.... I just wanna scoop you up for a moment then put you back." She had a fish swim by the scoop but she moved too quickly and startled it. The fish quickly swam away.

Once more Farvardin grabbed a new scoop. She stared at the pool of the water for a moment. Taking a deep breath she plunged the scoop into the water and then flipped it out. In doing so she ended up flipping a fish out of the pool of water. She turned around to stare at it flop about on the ground. "Hey! I got one!" She yelled out excitedly. Qixel Only Farvardin would win like this. XD

Lenore nodded silently and retrieved another voucher before handing it to the older girl. "Would you like a bag for the fish, or are you leaving it?"

Farvardin took the voucher and gave Lenore a grin. "My brother will love this!" She exclaimed. She then heard the question and looked to the fish. "Oh no! Gotta get it back in... the.... water." As she was finishing up the sentence she bent down and began trying to grab the fish. It kept flopping out of her hands and ended up flopping all over. "I don't want it. Just come to me fishie... go to the water." She muttered. She finally caught the fish and quickly dumped it back into the water. "Man. Slippery little bugger."

With another day came another chance. He'd already managed too some how actually fish up one of these boogers, but had ultimately given the fish prize away and took the book home to a rather pleased Ashley.
Grabbing an net he lowered it into the water humming quietly. Apparently he'd been humming a bit too much as the fish spooked and darted away.
