Elvini licks her lips, thinking, before she turns to her cousin, "I don't know much about Mystics. However, I heard that they turn into the race the marry into. If that were true, it would only be ten months, an elf's pregnancy length, if you two were married and had a child."

"The two races are not far off from each other, or so I've heard. It is possible that she was human inside though her Mystic appearance still remained true. However, she could have been fully human by the time that you met her, which is a strong possibility."

Jay flies back to join them, chirping about something to Kitara. She rolls her eyes, turning to her cousin again.

"It seems that your father wants me to join him fishing again tonight. Seriously, he wears me down sometimes with his nightly fishing, especially when it gets to be about three in the morning before he decides to quit though we could have been sitting there for about two hours without any nibbles... I hope, for your sake and Margem's sake, that you don't become like him in that sense."

She rolls her eyes, groaning a bit, "Seriously, I wonder what your mother does about him at times. At least you're not as stubborn or patient as he is, though it is partially in your personality."

Jay lands on her shoulder as she says, "But, you will learn to get those out of your system if you do get married. Any such characteristic could be a point of hurt in any relationship, though the pain is deeper in a marriage since the couple is so close. However, Margem's love will help to smoothe that out as you help smoothe hers out. That's what a marriage is for, to help one another as the couple goes through difficulties as well as to have unconditional love for each other."

"Trust me, Darian, living with Jay and near your parents, I get a lot of experience in this area. Your mom is the one who told me about the soothing-out thing, but I haven't seen them soothe each other. I suspect that it's more private, if you know what I mean," she says, turning her eyes back towards the path as Jay settles down by her left ear.

Kitara nods, "I hope that's not the case for you, cousin. From what I hear and understand from you, Margem may want to put down some roots, especially when she meets your mother. Your mother can be very convincing at times...."

The blue-eyed elf smiles, "Then I don't see a problem between the two of you about settling down, unless she declines your offer. However, I don't believe she will since it sounds like both of you are deep in love."

She sets a hand on his arm, "Don't doubt her, though. You'll need the trust and faith in her to keep this love strong."

"I don't see why you should doubt yourself, cousin," she says, "Why would you?"
