Never Again...Herald paused as he heard Em's response. "I see," he replied. "Ummm..." He replied hesitantly when she asked her question. What in the world was he supposed to say to that? He didn't know how to answer a little kid's questions. "Sometimes....people change. When they realize they aren't....who they were before," he told her slowly. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald shook his head. "You won't," he promised. "You won't be alone." He put one hand on top of her head. "Just...stay with me....and I'll take care of you, I promise." He added softly, realizing now who she was. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald gave her a small smile, the kind he reserved for Emma, and lifted her up, setting her back down on the ground before he stood up and turned back towards the door. "We need to leave," he told her before pushing open the door and stepping through into the next room. Will I be bound in chains

They were most likely in the basement of the mansion. It seemed it would take quite a while for him to even bump into anyone since the only ones there besides Em and Herald were Blitz, V, and Natte. ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±: . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

Never Again...Herald began walking up the stairs, glancing back to make sure Em was following. He left flaming pawprints on each step, though the flames wouldn't hurt Em if she touched them. When he reached the top he looked around. Now that he was in control of his wavelength, he was more prepared to fight any of the three. He could sense that the mansion was mostly empty, though why the others had abandoned the place he did not know. Will I be bound in chains

She glanced around as they walked and, once they were up the stairs, she moved to the side so she could get a better look. They were now in one of the many hallways of the mansion with tons of different rooms. They must've been close to the kitchen since multiple aromas filled the hall they were in. Never Again...Herald walked slowly into the kitchen, his flames flaring brighter despite himself as he angrily remembered the three enemies who had just been here. He walked to the center of the room, closing his eyes as he tried to sense where the 3 had gone. Will I be bound in chains

She glanced towards the kitchen where the smells were coming from then back at Herald. She shuffled over to the area where the food was being cooked. She peaked in and saw no one was there at the moment. She did hear yelling though. It seemed the chef was beyond pissed about cooking for no reason and having no one to eat the food. Since the coast was clear, she shuffled to the counter where the trays were and lifted a lid, finding some croquettes. Her mouth watered and she quickly lifted her coat up and put multiple croquettes on it. She held her coat with the food in it and shuffled back out to where Herald was and began eating quietly while looking around. While Herald tried to sense the others, he would find his attempt futile. Never Again...Herald opened his eyes again as he realized he wouldn't be able to sense the presence of any of the three. "Unfortunate," he muttered. He looked back over to where Em had sat down and begun eating. "Do you know anything else about your three friends?" He asked her, walking over to where she was and looking down at her as she ate. Will I be bound in chains
