Wait did Piper say last time was the last time? She totally meant this time was.
Too bad she could end on a good note, because just as she was opening her mouth to remind Santa about her first wish, someone else shoved her off. Her whines warmed the snow below as she just sort of lied there for a time.

Trisha climbed up the giant man's knee one last time. she managed to get all the way up there, and she tried to get the man's attention. To no avail. she was hit with snow instead.
The elves gave her a lolly pop though. she did like them.

He tried. He really did. But his arms were sore from all the climbing he'd done before. Sore and cold, he tried again. Near the top of one boot, he just stopped. So far to go, and all he wanted to to was rest. No further this day, he knew his strength would give out.
So he tried to call to Santa, way up there in the icy air. "Hey! Hello!" Maybe the guy would hear him, maybe Draven could finally ask for what he wanted.
Or maybe he would only be handed a bit of coal and get ushered away.
Oh well. He needed a rest anyway.

he never did figure out what he wanted. Even after the return to santa's lap before the fatman left.

This a great cry, the gigantic being known as Santa stood up, snow, branches, leaves, and students falling off his lap and boots. "THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT YEAR OF CHEER, I WILL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR. HO HO HO."
He bounded through the snowy lands, trees snapping, as he walked back into the forest, through the portal and disappeared out of sight. The snow and presents and coal however, remained.
