 The giraffe? Keone thought for a moment if he really wanted to do that, afterall look what happened with the wildebeast. But the giraffe did look neat, it wouldn't hurt to get a closer look would it?
" 'kay."
The leopard nodded as he spoke, his pace quickening somewhat. He'd been close to the herds for long enough, he was ready to get away from them now.

As he quickened pace, she did too, not so he woulden't pass, but to keep the same pace as Keone. But now they weren't too well hidden, and the wildabeast knew of their presence very well, majority of them looking with ears and eyes in the direction, and if she turned her head to look, they'd take small steps back, but this allowed her to get closer, and slowly shove them out of the way. They did know she wasen't in a hunting mode, she was walking way to easly to do so. But who knows, maybe the cat had a trick?
Yes and no. Yes, because the trick was to make a hole inside them to pass through, sense going around herds was annoying, and no, because there was no intention of hunting. Fortunatly, it wasen't too long before she'd thinned them into a gap, and stood inbetween one side and the other so it woulden't be closed.
"Lets pass here, we're not running, so they won't run either. "
She takes a pace left, then two right, to proove they woulden't stampede if one came at and easy pace, even if they backed away, a few shaking their heads in an attempt to scare the leopards off.

The leopard stopped in his tracks, ears falling as he shied several steps back. She was taking him through the herd? He definitely didn't like that, what if they stampeded again? And this was definitely closer than he wanted to get to them.
"You're sure they won't run?"
Keone's tail curled nervously, eyes darting from one beast to the next, searching for any sign of movement. It might have been faster to go through the herds, but he would have prefered the long way.

Watch alone didn't fit, because even if you weren't running, they stayed with eyes and ears peeled onto one. She sits down, still between the two sides so they wouldn't close, and to proove they weren't doing nothing.

The leopard was hestitant, his paws seemingly rooted to the spot where he stood. He had only be a few short hours ago that he had been in the middle of a terrifying stampede of one of these herds, and he wasn't so sure he wanted to walk into the middle of them again, wether they were running or not. But maybe....
Keone took a deep breath, and swallowing hard, his ears back, tail twitching nervously; one cautious paw moved foward, a few more steps. He stopped and skitted back, as if expecting the herd to charge. When they didn't, he stepped forward again, moving to Karama's side. His eyes never left the beasts, searching for any sign of movement, his muscles tense, ready to spring at a moments notice.
"o...okay....if you're sure..."

Ah, progress, he moved afterall. She had been giving up the idea when he was just standing there, but he moved, that was good. No need to fear wildabeast, correct? Just needed to get used to them. She gets up when he comes over, and turns to finish crossing them, stepping away from the herd, and waiting for Keone, she also knew they woulden't join while he was sitting there.
"You can come, they know your not hunting. "
These beasts weren't entirely stupid; they could tell the difference between a hunt and a stroll, but it didn't mean they coulden't be aware.
"The giraffe isn't too far off, won't take long to reach it. It will be hard to get close without it seeing us, though. "

Keone might have had something to say about that statement, he saw plenty of reasons to fear the wildebeasts. His ears back, he moved forward, every skittish step a struggle for the small leopard. He fought with the overwhelming urge to turn and run back, and when they reached the halfway point he was fighting the urge to run forward and get it over with.
But as much as he wanted to, he didn't dare run. If he ran, the wildebeast might run, and the last thing he ever wanted was to be caught in another stampede...except maybe to be caught by a snake. He shuddered at the thought and quickened his pace a few steps before consciously forcing himself to slow back to a walk.

After passing the wildabeast, she looks back it him.
"You can run now if you want, they know your not going for them. "
At this point, anyone would agree that running in the direction they were currently heading had nothing to do with catching a wildabeast, and she quickens to a trot to proove it, this action only makes the wildabeast back away a bit. She stops to make sure he comes though, even if quite certain he'd like to get away from the beasts; she also didn't want them mixed; if she learned something with him, is that Keone and Wildabeast don't mix.

THe moment they were clear of the beasts, Keone sprang forward, his gait a nervous trot that carried him quickly away from the herd. Whew, it was over, he'd made it through safely. And while it had been uneventful, he desperately hoped they wouldn't be doing that again.
"We don't have to go back that way do we?"
Ears back, he shot a glace over his shoulder at the herd. His pace didn't slow, he wanted to get away from the herd now, far away.

She follows his trot in an equal pace, though looking at him to talk, only flashing a few looks forward to be aware of any obsticle.
"That depends.. If its a river crossing, might be the best idea. Because their gathering here to cross, remember that smaller herd? it will join with this bigger one, and a few others will too. So there will be lots. If we want to go around, we'd end up at the water with crocodiles, and through the other way, we woulden't get back to the jungle before nightfall.. Its not good to stick around them out here at night; their more risky, and the hyenas hunt at night... Or follow us while /we/ hunt. "
She snorts, how many times had she neede dto fight off a hyena? Those annoying things.. Always following you to get your food; at least she only surrendered if it was more than one hyena; because that she could handle. Well.. As long as it wasen't.. Fully grown, persay, those were too big and.. Strong? They were also smarter, to say the least. Lions also might show up at night, but their more like daily felines, like cheetahs.

The leopard's ears instantly fell, tail held low, once was bad enough, but they'd half to go through the herd again? And it would be bigger? Crocodiles...hyenas...he wans't liking the sound of any of the things she was mentioning, and he was starting to think he didn't like the savanah at all. But...it was pretty?
"Where'd the giraffe go?"
He looked around for the tall creature, trying his best to ignore the herd and hastening his gait to get away from them.

Keone tilted his head, curiously watching the giraffe's odd ambling gate. His ears perked, tail twitching, he took a few bold steps forward. This creature may have been larger than an individual wildebeast, but it was alone, so the leopard wasn't frightened of it. Though he still wasn't about to get too close to it; alone or not it would still be bad if it decided to run over him...or worse.
"Do you think it'll attack us?"

Of course, both would be stupid if they approached, and the giraffe would be if it didn't move away and they were hunting. The giraffe wasen't really paying attention to the two, so didn't notice Keone's approach, nor Karama's following steps. Its concentration was on the tree, probably a rather young giraffe, and older one would have been more carefull.

The small leopard took a few more steps forward, curiously sniffing in the direction of the creature. Keone was being a bit more bold than he normally would be, more than he should be. Though after a few more steps he suddenly realized he had gone too far and backed up a few paces.
"It's so tall."
He titled his head, gaze moving upward, following the creature's neck up to it's head, a look of awe and amazement in his eyes.
