It took Griffin a while to wash the soap out of his eyes. Now that he'd been sucked into the fight, he hated taking time away from it. But there was no way he could keep going as he had been; his eyes were stinging from the soapsuds, and he couldn't see clearly enough to get off a good shot. After a few halfhearted attempts, he'd been forced to trudge off for the water fountain to clean himself up.
Now, his face and hands were totally clean, and he marched back onto the field of battle, ready for anything. Or so he hoped. He practically dove into the nearest bin, using both hands to grab ahold of a wobbly balloon. He held it steady as he searched for someone he hadn't hit yet. Then, carefully, he aimed and released, sending his water bomb right at Briar.
Derek cackled with glee as both balloons missed him. He did stop for a moment to do a victory dance, as he hadn't been hit in a while. Unfortunately, he was too busy beboping around to notice the puddle of soapy bubbles until it was too late. And Derek's footing went straight out from under him, sending the balloon he had been meaning to throw at one of them at a tree.
Eliza figured she needed a small break from targeting Briar and Derek. Where had that kid gone from before? The one that she had initially hit?
Eliza went to the nearest tub after scanning her immediate surroundings and reached in for a balloon. She picked up a medium sized green balloon that could have matched the color of her eyes. She adjusted her stance and sighed before briefly closing her eyes.
She was drenched, littered still with a little bit of confetti, but all in all she was having a blast of a time.
With her eyes still closed, she spun around in a few circles before randomly throwing her balloon.
A anguished cry reached her ears and Eliza opened her eyes to see a kid dripping in suds. She'd grabbed a sudsy balloon then?
Jason got hit in the back by well aimed balloon by Jake. Jason was having a grand time and couldn't help but stop in the middle of the fight with his hands on his knees, laughing his fool head off. He was soaked, still covered in confetii, had soap smeared over his shirt and pants, and he was having the time of his young life.
With a smile and an idea Jason grabed Jake by the arm and whispered his plan. Then with both armed with balloons they raced across the feild trowing the balloons at random people, yelling at the top of their lungs.... "FOR NARNIA!" Sadly all three of Jason's balloons splatered harmelssly agenst the ground, not that he really cared.

Briar had decided to take some more time out to get some more juice since he wasn’t having much luck with the balloon throws.
He’d opted for two whole glasses this time round – mass war, water balloon and bubble style was thirsty work.
Alas it seemed that his short break had not improved his aim any and the balloon that Briar had lobbed randomly had gone the way of quite a few others and fallen short of its target.
He also hadn't been paying as much attention as he should and someone's water balloon (Griffin's) smacked him solidly in the square of his back.
Turning Briar was pretty sure he could work who the thrower had been aka his next target.
Clearly, Griffin still had his mad skills. Or so he thought. He practically swaggered over to the next bin, as if daring the other kids to hit him. He could take whatever they threw at him- literally! Sure, the bubbles had thrown him off his game for a while, but now he was back, he was clean, and he was going to be taking some of his classmates down.
The bin he chose, however, was empty. Frustrated, Griffin kicked it. It was heavier than it looked, and he screeched and hopped up and down, as his big toe throbbed. That hadn't exactly gone according to plan.
Derek decided at that point that if he was going to keep missing, he'd at least try and distract people in the process. So he picked up a few balloons and threw them Briar's way. He aimed for the ground by the boy's feet, hoping he might loose his balance. Instead he either missed completely or the balloon simply didn't pop

"Ahahahaha!" Akane doubled over with laughter when she saw Kaia get hit not once, but twice, with water balloons. She thought she looked like a wet cat.
She wasn't at all surprised when she got hit back. She wasn't paying attention at all. But even then, she couldn't stop laughing. "Ahahaha! I deserved that."
After she got over her giggle fit, she decided she'd try to hit Briar next. "Take that!"

Could she hit someone again with a blind throw?
Eliza eyed the playground beyond the field. It was tempting to sit down for a moment or two and rest her legs; and her arms. Who knew that throwing balloons could be so tiring? Eliza plucked another balloon from the tub she stood near and closed her eyes again before spinning real fast. Halfway through the spin she let go of the balloon before falling to the ground. Her balloon had arced high in the air. Where would it come down?
Eliza watched the balloon sail above several kids before breaking harmlessly on the ground. Drat. She pounded the ground with her fists before sighing.
Ralph was walking around whistling as he looked for his next target. Still occasionally smacked by water balloons as he walked. He faked a few throws here and there, caused a few kids to jump. However, he was looking for those, that he might what you say owe. His eyes landed on Griffen, had Griffen hit him earlier? He couldn't remember but he knew Griffen was near him when he'd been hit soo....
It was payback time! Maybe.... Ralph lobbed the water balloon and watched it dance through the air in it's drunkard fashion. Oops it missed, right over Griffen's head harmlessly the balloon flew and popped on the sidewalk. That had been a pretty good throw too, Ralph was disappointed.
Quote:
Ralph is Targeting Griffin; Ralph has Missed his target!
Ralph's balloon might have missed Griffin, but Griffin still saw it coming at him, and his eyes narrowed.
He had a mission. Before this was over, he was going to hit every kid there. To do that most effectively, he had to keep moving to different targets. However, that didn't mean that he could look the other way when kids tried to target him. If he didn't show them how good he could be, they would all gang up on him. The possibility of that happening was one reason he'd initially sat out. While his fear of that scenario was not enough to completely dissuade him from playing anymore, it still motivated him to keep up a strong front.
The next bin he came across was not empty. With a huge smile, Griffin took a handful of bubbles and lobbed them at Ralph, taking care to avoid the eyes. He knew how much soap could sting from personal experience. Anywhere else, however, was fair game.
Jason was getting tired, but he wasn't willing to concede defeat and leave the field of battle. A break would help with that, Jason decided that he would grab a few moments by himself, but first one more balloon.
Jason scooped up a yellow balloon and without even looking for a target let it fly. A splash and a screech told the little boy that his luck was back.... he had gotten a hit.
He still wanted some juice though.

Why weren't the tubs staying full? Eliza had to reach further down then ever before to grasp the dwindling supplies of ammo? Would there be a momentarily cease-fire if all the balloons were used and had to be restocked?
Eliza didn't let that thought linger too long before she threw her next balloon. Her target was Briar. Her throw was way off though.
Eliza frowned. Her aim was becoming worse. Would a break solve anything?
With a skip in her step Eliza sat down at the edge of the field for a small breather.
Akane reloaded and prepared for her next shop. This time, at Ralph. She tossed the water balloon right at his torso and it burst with a satisfying, wet pop. After that, she did a fist pump. "Oh, yeah, oh, yeah! Did you see that? Oh, yeah!" She was on a roll.
