Evieling had gotten up and walked to her room and sat in her window. Her tears had long since dried up, but ever now and again one slid down her face. Hopefully no one would notice that she was missing from the war meeting. Someone like her that would be on the early part of the attack wouldn't get a voice at the meeting. She didn't have enough experience in war anyway.

Her mind filled with worry, she wondered in the prince would rat her out an complain about her only being 16. A sad smile crossed her lips as looked out the window. Maybe the king would let her stay in the guard.

Evieline continued to look out her window. Sighing she pulled her knees close and rested her head on them.....She was scared, more scared that she had ever been before. What if she did die....who would protect Prince Anduin and take them to their secret waterfall. "He's already out grown you silly girl. Your a peasant, the Prince doesn't need you. You're just going to die at Icecrown anyway."

Evieline didn't hear the knock on her door and jumped when she heard the king's voice. Face planting onto the ground she scrambled to pick herself up."I-I-Its nothing, just a little upset about my brother still that's all." It killed her to lie to the king and she quickly sighed and let her shoulders dropped. "I...I told Prince Anduin about my leaving....he didn't take it to well..." A few tears streamed down her face, but she quickly brushed them away not wanting Varian to think she was weak.

"I think its because we just lost Bolvar.....I didn't know him very well, but I know he was like family to the both of you." Looking down she frowned, she had told Anduin her real age...everything. She understood her job, but the prince didn't seem to get it. "I think it might be better this way. If something happens to me, he'll be to angry at me to notice I'm gone. I've only been here a few months after, he'll might never notice I'm gone."

Frowning she rubbed her arm. "He could always go and practice healing?" It was more of a question and less of a statement. "Your highness, you know I won't ever let anything happen to your son. I made a vow that day, and as long as I'm alive nothing will ever change that." Determination sat in her eyes, it was very obvious how seriously she took this. Standing there for a minute she decided to tell Varian everything. "I told him how old I was.....I don't think it hit him to be honest....but he knows....I know he's just angry, but I don't know how to help....I tried to make him understand...he's not the only one who is losing things to the war...my brother....I didn't even tell him good-bye when I ran away from home.....for all I know my other brothers are fighting as well..."

"I hope your right your highness." Evieline said quietly. Looking our the window one more time she turned and headed out the door. She followed the King in silence, feeling less like a knight and more like a lost child. "Thank you for everything your highness."

Evieline returned to the meeting with the king. Sitting next to the elf sisters, she still looked a bit upset. Embarrassed, because all of these people had seen the prince blow up at her.
