"Plus, Rep Dear, if what you say is true how likely do you think it is a animated monster corpse moved all the way from the crypt, to the councilmen's room, and slaughtered them all without being seen? Plus, from what i heard, ...the monster form, was rather huge. Do you think i could even FIT through the door? Probably would have destroyed half the damn building just fitting in to the damn thing, try sneaking around that way."
She glared at him once more, realizing that he too was dodging her questions a little too easily. "But you know? Think what the hell you want, i cant sit here all day and argue with you when i have the real killer, OR killers, to find."
She walked away after that.

After THAT little run it, it left her a little...moody. She revealed a little too much about herself apparently, and it only left someone insanely suspicious about her.
But what if he was right?
No... it wasnt me. Couldnt be. No way, she was DEAD when it was discovered.... they killed whatever monster was insider her when she died.
Only this time, lost in thought and not looking where she was going, she walked practically full frontal right in to someone else.

If it was one thing that Leon was never going to be fine around, it was firearms, and people with itchy trigger fingers. People with itchy trigger fingers holding firearms were therefore malicious in his book.
What he didn't expect as he was fleeing the potential murder by point blank shot was one curious Ami trying to talk to him. Course that led to him grabbing her by the wrist and running behind the nearest wall. "First of all, spoiler: Simon does not like questions. At all. Not even a question about asking him a question. You have been warned." the hunter stated without any doubt in his voice before he settled down, hearing no footsteps approaching at the moment.
"But that aside, yeah I have time, what do you need?"
it was as if he wasn't worried about being executed by gunfire now.

Ami blinked in surprise. "I see you're investigating the ... incident as well." It was commendable, she supposed. Perhaps a little stupid of both of them. She brushed it off. If Leon was willing to talk she wasn't going to protest. Leon never acknowledged her.
"If you're going to be that agreeable," she said, looking at him and just waiting for the chainsaw to be summoned, "Perhaps you could inform me of your knowledge of the council's massacre? You've been here longer, maybe you know something?" Or maybe you're covering something up, Leon ...

"Y-yeah. Later Ami," Deryk nodded to her before letting out a breath. Alright. Time to continue investigations. He made his way through the halls up until he managed to run into Sam. She was the one in charge of weapon conversions right? He remembered something along those lines.
"Oh uh hey. Just got a question or two. Maybe you know answers? yes?"
Whether she did or not was not revealed as she basically brushed him off without answering anything. So much for that. With a frown, he scratched his head, then went on his way.
NPCS Killzone - Died prior to incident. Creepy flowers though. Low suspicion. Sam - Didn't answer questions. Was patronizing. Moderate.

After some thought, Deryk decided to try and hit up Mark's office. While the paper said to trust no one... if anyone had information to spare, maybe the assistant did. Maybe he could even try to bribe him. Hm...
Well, that was what he was hoping. This turned out to not be the case. The guy seemed to be pouting. Then again... he couldn't really blame the guy for being cooperative. But... he still couldn't help but feel that he knew something. It was just a matter of how to get it out of him.
Today was just not his day.

Stepping into the hallways had been the next step for Lex, hoping to find some other Hunters to grill. Well, more like ask simple questions to. He honestly didn't think any of the trainees, or even newer Hunters, could have done the damage to the council. Still, he'd started something and he was going to finish it.
First up? Deryk. The brunette had just walked in when he brushed shoulders with the blonde, and a firm hand was put on his shoulder. "What kind of weapon do you think could mark the table that way?"

While he was never in the business of talking to Ami, the tilt of his head in puzzlement was enough to indicate that it was going to chance, if not for the situation they were in. "My knowledge of the event is limited, seeing as how the only places I frequent is the life labs, the gym, cafe, sparring ground and of course, my own room." he explained softly, marking them off on his fingers for the other hunter to take note of.
"All I know are the absolute basics, they were alive and now they aren't, to be perfectly frank, I had no idea we had a council, and where they could even be located, till now of course." it was ignorance in bliss, he knew it. Just the realization of his lack of knowledge of this place after two years left him in a crestfallen mood, sad and pathetic. he was changing from that, but it still took time.
"I have not been able to recover any data pertaining to the actual event yet, I'm hoping there is a forensic file or compilation of autopsy data somewhere so we can all take a look at it as a group but I have not yet procured it. How about you, anything that caught your eye about the event Miss Ami?"
Any information was good information in his book, taking out his pad of paper and giving the huntress a blank look.

This investigation wasn't really getting him anywhere so far. Keeping what little he knew in mind, he was trying to piece things together, but was soon stopped. Well, the sudden hand on his shoulder caused Deryk to jump. He hadn't really been paying too much attention to his surroundings.
"Oh uh.. h-hey!" he stammered out, having been caught off guard. Oh. Lex was investigating too it looked like.
"Should be something sharp. Probably not a small blade. Possibly something serrated, but not necessarily," he mused, "Also likely belongs to higher ranked hunter, given how dense and resilient table is."
He could be wrong on these accounts, but it made sense to him.
"Um.. you got any leads on anyone with a weapon like that? Maybe?"

"I see," Ami said shortly, scribbling something in her journal to later record on her sheet of paper. It seemed somewhat odd to her that Leon was feigning such ignorance, but perhaps he really didn't have information on the subject. It was all so under wraps, and he was still a trainee. Maybe they were on a need to know basis. It hadn't occurred to Ami that she should've been sweeping her tracks.
A forensic file would've been useful, yes. "Not much really," she lied, "Dwight seemed a bit jumpier than usual, but you know how he is." The other leaders? "Oh, and I feel as though you should switch to moon after talking with Edith." That was sarcasm, Leon.
She put a hand to her chin. "Your weapon is a chainsaw yes? That'd be pretty good at splattering blood, don't you think ..." Another scribble in her journal.

Lex hummed, jotting the notes down about the Death. He seemed to know a fair bit about the weapon, but he was in the information division. He'd cut the guy some slack.
"Mmm...not really? Though, Allan's sword could do something like that - but it's Allan. Caelius could have done it, but I don't think his scythe would have fit the room..." Lex trailed off, tapping his chin. "Yeah, not sure."

It looked like another lead that turned up with nothing as leon put away his pad back into his coat. "Oh, well at least we are beating the path, something should turn up." the hunter suggested, giving it a positive spin, if only to increase morale.
The next bit did have him frowning at Ami and her insinuation. "Now while I understand that we have to take into consideration every angle, I have to make sure you are paying attention to what the evidence tells us." It was time to break out the logic specs.
"a chainsaw is good at spattering blood, that is true, however a chainsaw is a messy weapon, I'm sure you understand that. would it really stop at just blood? wouldn't there be bits of flesh, and bone on the walls as well? not to mention high velocity splatter marks with indication of the direction it fell onto the walls at an angle? Also, it would be nigh impossible to eliminate each and every single trace of bane/flesh matter in such a situation."
If she was going to question him, he was going to hit her down with facts.
"I have not met another hunter with a similar weapon as mine yet, but as someone with experience, I can tell you that if it hit a surface, and surface, there would be some very distinct tool marks left on the item. I would make sure to take that down as well." Did it hurt to be suspected even for an instance? of course, especially when it was right in front of you.
"I could ask you about your weapon, but I have already concluded that it may not be the right one, however I would still love to hear why you think it would not be the primary murder weapon."

Deryk thought that over. Yeah, Allan's sword could do that and the guy was definitely strong enough, but... he was having a really hard time imagining Allan murdering well.. anyone. As Lex said, it was Allan. Caelius, he could see. But it was too soon to really be pointing fingers.
"Hrm.. alright. Thank you for insight," he nodded before trying to think some more. They still needed more information.

Ami actually gave Leon a look of utter disbelief. Did he really take her suspicion so seriously. Then again, she was suspecting him of murder. It didn't mean the journal didn't come up to her eyes once more for another note.
"Ah but what of your charge? I don't know anything about it- perhaps your charge allows you a more rounded shape when you slice. What hunter would be stupid enough to leave bone and flesh? That would show clear indication of a specifically marred weapon. Clear up some of it and suddenly it looks like a sword hm?" She gave him a raised eyebrow and an amused smile. She honestly didn't suspect Leon of much, but his actions were a little intriguing. "You say it'd be impossible to clean, but what about someone meticulous? Determined even ... disciplined? Perhaps like a hunter who follows a very specific regime every single day- I'd call him relatively dogged."
Considering Ami trusted Leon not to tell, she summoned her own weapon quickly. "As you can see, the blades are too thin to make such wide marks, and my charges- before you ask- are a heal, an energy wave and quicker strikes with the blunt end." The weapon disappeared, desummoned as fast as it had arrived. Hopefully no one was around to report that.
"Additionally, though you didn't think to ask, I was in the haunted house at the estimated time of murder. You can ask Lex, Solia, Kat, Wilson, Madeline or any of the number of people who were with me."
Ami gave him a light smirk. "The note did say to trust no one."
