Jara nuzzled her son. It seemed like things might finally be getting better! She hooked her head over his shoulder. The same sulfer like smell as Huel comforted her. "I'm glad you're home dear." Jara said before nuzzling her mate.
Jaromir continued to watch them all with carefully regarded gazes.

Bruin snuggled his mother back before stepping away a bit. "Mom.. actually.. I brought someone with me... That you and dad, well.. that everyone needs to meet..." He said somewhat shyly.
Huel listened carefully to his son.
Nae nodded and nuzzled him softly before looking up at Bruin.

 D'von nuzzled Nae back before glancing at Bruin himself. Oh? Apparently he wasn't the only mate bring brought to be introduced today. Ante tried not to fidget while she waited for Bruin to come fetch her. He'd said he wanted to make it a surprise, but this was nerve-wracking, even for her. Oh, what if they thought she was strange? But despite her doubts and worries, she remained in the area Bruin had hidden her away in. There was no point in panicking--especially since it would increase the likelihood of her tripping.

Both Jara and Jaromir waited appropriately for whoever Bruin was wanting to introduce to them. Jara couldn't imagine who Bruin would have brought home but waited patiently.

Bruin motioned for them to stay where they were while he ran off towards Ante. When he got to her, he offered her a warm and brief nuzzle before looking at her nervously in the eyes. "Let's go..." He said softly, motioning for her to come with him
Nae waited patiently next to D'von.

Ante nuzzled him back, feeling just as nervous as Bruin looked. She nodded, sticking close to him. She wanted to ask a million questions like if his family would like her, but he seemed nervous enough without her pointless questions. She would find out in a minute what their opinions were of her.
D'von tilted his head slightly when he saw the maneless, tailless, and masked mare that was sticking to Bruin like glue. Her expression was... surprisingly difficult for him to read. Huh. Strange. Well, whatever. He just rested his head by Nae and listened for an introduction.

Jaromir nuzzled his daughter affectionately as he looked at his other one with her new mate. If this stallion had proved himself worthy of Nae then he must be. Nae wasn't the easiest mare to handle, even as a foal she was a hoof full, though her antics normally brought something good in the end. That was when Bruin rounded the corner with a strange looking...mare?
Jara's face looked just as puzzled as her fathers but she quickly wiped her face clean. She took a few steps toward the mare and her son. "Welcome. I am Jara, Bruin's mother."

That was when Arachnae decided to step up. "And I am Bruin's aunt, its a pleasure to meet you, Ante." She said softly, kindly, from D'von's side.
Bruin smiled at his family, his side right next to Ante's as he reached around to nuzzle her, entice her to speak and come forward.

Checkmate Ante accepted the nuzzle from Bruin, relaxing a bit at the friendly welcomes from his mother and aunt. Jara and Arachnae, the mare that Bruin had been talking to a day or two ago. "Thank you," she replied to their warm words. Since Arachnae was the only one she'd been introduced to, she turned to the others. "I'm Checkmate Ante. It's nice to meet you all." It was times like these she was glad she wore a mask. They were being so polite and nice but being introduced to Bruin's family was a bit unnerving. She wasn't used to being around even pairs of Azrein outside of her family, after all. At least they weren't calling her names or looking at her oddly like everyone else did.

Jara hesitated for just a moment before taking a few steps towards her son's mate. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ante. If you ever need anything, which I'm sure my son will make sure you won't, you may come to me. Welcome to the family." She dipped her head slightly to Ante before turning her head to D'von. With an audible sigh, she took a few steps closer towards him even though it made her uncomfortable. "I am sorry for my earlier words. Things have not been as great for me as of late and I find it hard sometimes to get out of the depressing moods that seem to take over me. I hope you heal soon, and welcome to the family." She dipped her head even lower this time as an apology before turning around and going back to Huel. Jara nuzzled him momentarily before heading back.
Jaromir smiled slightly, both his daughters had mates, his grandson found a mate, his granddaughter was coming home. Things were forming just nicely. He dipped his head in greeting to Ante. "Welcome to the herd, Ante. I am Bruin's Grandfather, Jaromir." He introduced himself politely.
