"Octopus?" Curiously Mitsu made her way over to the cart, eyeing the ghost as they went about making a new batch. Everything smelled rather good and she really hadn't eaten for a long while now. In fact, her stomach growled rather angrily in protest.
"Maybe...a couple." Mitsu said softly.

Nodding to her, Shun went on and ordered some to share between the two of them. After he paid, the ghost went to work, finishing things up. Before too long, he placed six of the balls into a tray and put on a number of sauces. Ea Taking the tray, the Reaper turned towards towards Mitsu, offering her one of the sticks to eat them with.
After that, he stabbed into one of the balls and blew on it to let it cool, then took a bite.
"This is really good," he commented, holding the tray out so that she could try it as well.

Mitsu watched intently as the ghost went about making their order, putting everything together and setting the little takoyaki on a tray for the two of them. Once it was handed over Mitsu hesitantly took one of the sticks and skewered herself a piece. The food was approached with caution, mostly because Mitsu could tell how hot it was but it did smell good. If she was any hungrier she probably would have ignored the probability of burning her mouth and just eaten it.
When she was finally able to take a bit she nibbled on it at first before she stuffed the whole piece into her mouth. "It's good." She nodded, speaking around the food in her mouth.

Carefully, Shun went on and finished eating his one ball, keeping the tray extended for Mitus. He figured they could both eat three of them, and he was glad that she enjoyed it.
"Let's go find a spot to sit," he said before beginning to move. There were some benches facing out towards the sea. Pretty soon the sun would be setting, and given that they were facing west, it should be a fairly nice sight he figured.
Seating himself on one of the benches, he took another of the takoyaki to begin eating.

Nodding since her mouth was still full Mitsu followed Shun to a bench and had a seat. She quickly nabbed the last two takoyaki that were to be her's and made quick of the second one, popping it into her mouth before letting it cool.
"Hot.." She whined, her hand coming up to cover her mouth as she attempted to chew quickly and swallow. The temperature shouldn't have been a surprise but she was eager to eat her next piece.
Once the food was gone she allowed her mouth to open slightly, sighing now that the heat had passed. As much as she wanted to bite into the next one she let it sit for a moment to cool instead.
"Thanks...for bringing me here." She looked up over the water and the pumpkin sun that was about to set. It was probably one of the nicer memories she would have of this place.

"Careful..." he warned when he saw that she had gotten a little too eager to eat the still-hot takoyaki. Shun was slower in eating his food as usual, finding himself to be in no particular rush to finish eating his pieces. Once all the balls were gone, he set the tray aside to throw it out later on. Letting out a breath, he turned towards her and nodded lightly.
"I'm glad you could enjoy some things in this city.." he said quietly. He went on and lightly wrapped an arm around her waist as they sat there together.

Poking at her last takoyaki Mitsu finally began to nibble at it. She could feel his arm slipping around her waist and as a result she scooted a little closer, leaning her head against his shoulder. This wasn't going to be an easy life to adjust to.
"So...is this job a forever deal?" She figured she might as well ask. Maybe there would be hope that there would be something else in the future.

Shun looked to Mitsu curiously at that question, and was silent for a time before he answered.
"I can't say if it'd be forever.. but if I'm going to one day take over... it is definitely something more long term," he replied quietly. His gaze shifted down for the moment and he took in a deep breath.

"Oh.." Was all Mitsu managed before she fell silent, nodding as she pulled her last takoyaki away only half eaten. Placing her hands in her lap she tilted her head up to look at the sky in front of them losing herself for a moment in the massive picture. It was better to make a difference right? To give someone else a chance. To give a lot of people a chance.
Then why was it so hard?

"...I'm sorry you have to be pulled into this."
Shun noticed the way she seemed somewhat crestfallen at his answer. After all, initially, she was against this idea. It can't be easy for her to really accept this, even if she was the one who urged him to fix things.
"It won't be easy.. I know that much," he said quietly, "But I guess things would only get worse with the Family if something isn't done eventually."
Which could very well mean his Father doing some very stupid and bloody things. The nature of the business wasn't a very kind one but he did like to take it to extremes it seemed.

Sheepishly her gaze turned to Shun as he apologized, her eyes falling to the sidewalk instead of the sky this time. He wanted to help as well this just wasn't the life she expected. It was more of the life she had been trying to escape.
"I know...I'll make the best of it." She forced a smile at that, holding up the last piece of her takoyaki for him to eat.

Shun shook his head as she offered him the last half of takoyaki. Taking in a breath, he watched her. It looked as though she was still struggling with things.
"I could try to take back what I said to him...." he murmured, though he knew that wouldn't end well at all. Doing that would likely blow up in his face in a major way. But he was concerned about his lycan.

When he declined the takoyaki Mitsu set it aside again, shaking her head at his offer. "No, I don't think you're father would be very..." She thought over the right word for a second before she finally went with... "...understanding. Besides, if you don't step in...nothing will change." She murmured.
She just needed to stop feeling sorry for herself. It wasn't helping and it wasn't going to change what had already occurred. Taking in a deep breath the lycan got to her feet and held out her hand to Shun. Maybe they could go walking along the pier as the sunset. "I know it will be hard but....maybe it will be better this way. For someone at least. We won't know if we don't try right?"

"I doubt he would be either," Shun said quietly. For a time, his gaze went down to the wood between his feet, up until he noticed Mitsu standing up. His one eye shifted up towards her and he gently took her hand to pull himself up and out of the bench as well.
"I want you to be able to be happy too though," he said as he grabbed the empty takoyaki tray.
"I'll.. do my best to help you through this. I don't want you to suffer because of me.."

There was actually a true soft smile at that and Mitsu leaned in toward Shun and stood on her tippy toes to give him a kiss. When she pulled away she pressed a hand against his cheek affectionately. "I know you do...and you have made me happy. Just knowing you were willing to choose me instead...its all I could have asked for."
She turned and started to walk never once letting go of his hand as she trailed along the pier's edge, her free hand trailing across the railing that stood between her and the sea below. "I'm still adjusting after everything that's happened but..I'll manage. I need to stop feeling sorry for myself and move on." It was just really hard to do.
