Seeing Jericho in this state should have caused her stomach to knot up. However, there was instead a very distinct lack of this feeling, almost an impassive one as she watched everything beginning to unfold. It was a giant cosmic mess, and perhaps guilt was the only reason why she stayed at all - but guilt over what?
She wouldn't say if ever pressed about it. Instead, she focused on loading up the slingshot she'd been given and looking to the mass of insanity looking down at all of them. Fire. Fire Her back screamed in a phantom pain that was never Jericho's fault to begin with, instead she just had to swallow the thought out and fire.
Hard to aim when one was having minor PTSD though.
The dragon let out a deafening roar as the behemoth snapped her jaws around their neck. Snarling in pain, they began to thrash about even more. Their tail flailed wildly around.

The bit of encouragement from Mort won him a small smile that was completely dashed once Sharra dissipated. A tiny note of disapproval was her goodbye to him before more attacks came. This time she rushed forward after a quick grab of more ammunition and took stance near the front. Or at least, as near to the front of battle as she could without getting too close to a tussling werewolf and insanity dragon. A look of concern was given to the Pricolici, along with a "If you need to take a moment, fall back!" that was meant as something encouraging. Whether it was taken as such was another matter entirely but the dash forward meant the witch took one tiny swipe from the monster's tail. "Well that wasn't a very good hit at all, darling. Want to give it another go?" That was a joke she tossed at the dragon along with another infusion before she turned back to her group.
"Infusers! We need more! You're doing fabulous so far, keep it up!" She cupped a hand around her mouth to carry her voice further and waved on hand in the air for her group to see. If they didn't hurry, the grapplers wouldn't be able to keep their hold and this effort would prove futile. An additional shout was called to the Thunderbird with a small smile in form of encouragement. "Doing alright, Taima?" Yes. Yes she had totally looked at all the names she hadn't known before and put them to faces. That and the fact that they had totally had their exams together.
Being bathed in insanity foggy fire was not fun. Mort shuddered and fell back around the same time Bells threw the suggestion out, shivering and otherwise doing his very best to ignore the heightened whispers. At least the tail slap was just a nick this time, but he wasn't going to hold his breath for luck to last like that.
"Bells, is not good idea t-to bait Boss!" he commented, launching more ammo at Jericho. "No aggro, no aggro!"

Since the first shot wasn't so good, AJ decided to go for another. Then suddenly, he got a yell from a ghoul. From her dressing, he could tell she's a witch.
"Next time you wait for my cue!"
What? Cue? Well, if she had briefed the team like other teams did, probably he would wait. However, didn't she see how bad the situation was and doing NOTHING?! Grapplers were trying hard, Medics were healing hard, even the Professor was trying her best. But how about the Infusers? Leader not directing and they can't do anything. Who cares about your cue dear?
Therefore, the amphisbaena boil gave the witch a smile. "I would listen if there was any. The dragon was about to break free and infusers were needed. But NO ONE took the lead, so we did." It was more like a retort than an explanation. Obviously, the boil was not satisfied with seeing all the grapplers doing their jobs but his leader was doing nothing but to scold them after they tried something. He tried to be polite, only when people were being reasonable.
If the leader wasn't doing her job properly, he will do it on his own. As easy as that.
The grapple almost, almost slipped out of her fingers.
One moment, her entire team was there, strong hands holding the grapples and keeping Jericho at bay while the infusers worked their magic.
The next, the blink of an eye passed - and Sharra was gone. Not hurt. Not unconscious. Just gone.
A terrifying sound emitted from Riley, both in mental waves and from each of her twenty two tentacles. An angry, high-pitched scree left her as she tugged harder on the grapple, trying to pull Jericho closer. The mental sound ceased only when she tore her thoughts forward into him, vying for his attention.
YOU STUPID DRAGON. YOU'LL WAKE UP AND YOU'LL REGRET ALL OF THIS. LOOK AT ME, JERICHO BLOODBANE. LOOK AT ME RIGHT NOW, AND FIGHT THIS. FIGHT THE INSANITY. FIGHT THE VOICES. STOP BEING SO WEAK.
All of her tentacles tugged around her grapple and she tugged, hard.
The dragon would have continued to thrash about, but there was soon once again, one voice that echoed louder than the rest. A certain mindflayer had grabbed their attention once again, insulting them even. Cold blue eyes flared angrily.
If it was possible to awaken the dragon.... in this dragon.
It happened.
The fog thickened for a moment above. It might have seemed like an oncoming storm for just a moment, but instead it was forming something far more solid. Pretty soon, there was a rather large twenty sided die made out of the insanity. And it was quickly barreling down towards the puny illithid.
The action cost a great deal of energy, but it should hopefully quiet down that voice.
As the Insanity smashed into Riley, the plague doctor made a nigh-incoherent snarling sound. Not again.
Never again.
The sound of the bell rang out across the battlefield as Malodore bristled at Jericho, its wings flaring to full extension, blade-feathers rising to gleaming points. Jericho... no, Jericho was in there somewhere. The true Jericho would never attack Riley. It was the Insanity, trying to take her away again.
Junko nearly let out a shriek of terror as Riley was hit so hard she would probably dissipate at any minute. No, no, no! Not Riley! No! She was not letting Riley die again, she would not just stand and stare dumbfounded as she had last time. She was better than that! She was stronger than that now! She rang the bell in Riley's direction, desperate to heal her as much as she could along with Malodore.
"A-ah..Malodore! She'll be okay! See? We've helped her some, we can keep helping her!" She called to the plague doctor in an effort to hopefully calm it. It had every right to be angry, livid even, but anger would not change things. Junko just feared it might make everything worse.
It wasn't the nicest way to keep Jericho held down, but he seemed to be able to pin down, meaning he was solid somehow and not just smog. Watching Red clamp down, he aimed again and fired.
It happened so fast. First she was hit again, then she was healed. Terra shook her head, taking a deep breath before she looked at the strange skeletal bird like creature. "Gracias!!" she shouted at him, waving a hand. That had been amazing!
Stubbornly, intent on proving that she was here to do her work properly, she brought up her next shot, aiming at the dragon. She wasn't quite sure WHAT was going on anymore--but she knew what SHE had to do, and that was the important part. Too bad she didn't do it very well...

There was a bittersweet moment when Riley realized she'd finally gotten Jericho's attention, and it was about damn time. Her face lifted in lieu of a terrible smile, only to fall the moment she saw that rolling ball of Insanity.
No. Not a ball. A die.
There you are, you stubborn son of a- It hit her like a train, knocking her back so hard she felt every ounce of her energy draining. She was barely hanging on, but her tentacles did the job for her, so twisted and entangled in her grapple rope that she almost hung from it like a noose for a moment.
The bells began to toll, and she felt her strength returning, her hands wrapping tight around the rope once more. The fierce pride in her expression returned, and her eyes narrowed to slits, glaring up at her best friend. That attack wasn't the blind flames of a monster. That was an angry, frustrated, idiotic, stubborn, hot-headed dragon.
That was her Jericho.
She sent a soft caress to Malodore, thanking it for the healing she knew it was responsible for - she would have to be told of Junko's assistance later, as she hadn't seen who'd brought her back from the brink. She just knew Malodore would always be there to catch her before she fell.
The dragon was still very pissed. For now the loudmouth illithid had shutup, but there was still these damn hooks stuck in their side. Not to mention the big behemoth pinning them down and chomping on their neck. The wires needed to go first.
