"This way Alicia," Merida said as she motioned for the young girl to follow her. She spoke softly to Lorcan. "I am sure Cassandra made it to her room by now. You should go see if she has seen your gift, whatever it is." She raised an eyebrow slightly as she opened the door to the room and waited for Alicia.

Cassandra picked each rose up and smelled them. They were not only beautiful, but they smelled good as well. Who could have left them for her? She wondered if the colors had any meaning to the person who sent them. They all had a meaning to her after all. Each color meant something different.

Alicia smiled faintly as she followed Merida. "I don't know what was happening with Merrick, but it was obviously painful... I don't see how he was able to keep from screaming," she said quietly as she walked towards Merida, clearly a bit troubled by what had happened.
Lorcán smiled slightly. He walked towards Cassandra's room and lightly knocked. "Seems you have a secret admirer, Cassandra," he remarked wryly. He knew his tone came off as curious and somewhat amused, though in truth he was very amused.
Merrick exhaled as he walked slowly and carefully before he blinked, seeing what had happened to him in the strange incident minutes before. I've gained several inches in height... my eyes are now a deeper shade of blue, almost dark blue... and a certain part of me is aroused, he thought before he sighed and walked after Alicia and Merida.

Cassandra turned around quickly, surprised by the knock on her door and Lorcan's voice. She had been so deep in her own thoughts that she didn't hear him approach. She smiled and nodded as she set the rose she had been holding down. It was the peach colored rose. "Yes, so it would seem." She walked over to the dresser that was near the bedroom door and as she did she pulled the object out of her hair that kept it up. Her luxurious hair fell all around her shoulders as she set the hair piece down. "The roses are very beautiful. I wonder who could have sent them."
"I don't either," Merida said with a shake of her head. As they walked down the hallway a door opened and Constance stepped out.
"Is everything okay," Constance asked softly. "I thought I felt something..." Her gaze stopped on Merrick and she frowned a little. Was it just her, or did he seem taller? And his eyes...they seemed darker.
"Yes, everything is okay," Merida said with a smile at Constance. "Just a little incident, but nothing to worry about."

Alicia smiled as she saw Constance. "Are you feeling better?" she asked her friend.
Lorcán cocked his head as he looked at the colors of the roses. "Hmmm, interesting. It's clear that the admirer, whoever he is, is fond of you. Combined, the roses signify a strong romantic interest... Admiration, appreciation, enchantment, and sincere love," he said quietly as he revealed the meanings of the light pink, peach, lavender, and deep red roses in turn. "Huh... what's this?" he said thoughtfully as he felt a hard spot in the bouqet; he knew the small two inch diameter pendant of the skull within a blue background with amethyst eyes was there, of course, but acted as if he didn't as he tugged it out, finding the silver edge and back beneath a long silvery chain.
Merrick stumbled slightly without realizing it on the stairs, but caught himself at the last moment, not even realizing he'd done a one handed handstand before he felt his feet land back on the floor. "As much as I dislike the idea this early in the evening, I need to wash up and change... again," he said with a sigh, well aware his skin was streaked with blood while his clothes were all but saturated with it.

Constance turned her gaze to Alicia and smiled as she nodded. "Yes, I am feeling much better, thank you." She rubbed her eyes a little. "I am sorry that I have been so distant."

Cassandra wasn't surprised that Lorcan knew what the different colored roses signified. He was very smart. When he spoke again she walked over to where he was. "What's what?" She watched as he pulled out the necklace on a long silver chain. Her eyes widened when she saw the pendant on the end of a chain. A skull...Cassandra's gaze went to Lorcan. "How..how did you find that? I didn't even feel that in there..." She had a feeling she knew how he knew, but she didn't want to admit it. There was no way he could have an interest in her, could he? After a moment she spoke again. "You?" She spoke softly.

Alicia shrugged. "We all have days where we feel like someone kicked us between the legs a few times then stomped us for the hell of it," she said with a shrug.
Lorcán blinked before he smiled faintly. He shrugged his shoulders, tilting his head. 'It was hidden behind the ribbon of the wax paper," he said with a wry chuckle. "Who else would know which room you had and would have known you well enough to leave something you liked?" he said with amusement.
Merrick tilted his head slightly before he walked towards Constance before he paused, half shaking his head before he turned away and walked to his room two down from Constance's own.

Constance smiled a little at Alicia and when Merrick walked towards her she turned to look at him. When he stopped and went to his own room she frowned a little. She shook her head a little and turned back to Alicia. Merida had already went to her own room. "Yeah, I've felt like that for a while now. Ever since I found out everything."

Cassandra sat down on the edge of the bed as she looked up at Lorcan. She never had thought he would ever have any sort of feelings for her. She smiled a little. "You know...every since I first met you---I have had this attraction to you?" She ran her hand lightly through her hair. She took the necklace from him and examined it. "It is very beautiful. The roses are wonderful."

Alicia laughed. "Trust me, I know the feeling; ever since that night with that hunter... I've felt... confused, weak... frankly useless," she said wryly. "Beleive me, it's troubling to me to know that hunters are using magic.... regardless, I don't know of any that have encountered them nearby and survived to tell about it," she said with a sigh.
Lorcán smiled slightly. "As have I, though it isn't just for your intelligence, but your drive to protect those around you and the fact that you're willing to put yourself on the line for others. Most would say that is a 'Dark' talent, but in my opinion, it's more of a 'human' talent, since anyone with the will can do it, regardless of whether they're able to manipulate magic or not," he said with amusement.
Merrick shifted his weight in the room before he sighed, shedding the vest and shirt before he glanced at his bare hand. I have the feeling that binding mark was holding more back than just my Kitsune side, he thought. He quickly stripped the rest of the way down before he walked towards the bathroom, barely glancing down at his eight inch arousal as he did.

Constance reached forward and touched Alicia's arm gently. "But at least you're alive. You escaped and I am glad for that. I am glad Merrick showed up when he did." She yawned a little and shook her head. "I think I am going to try and sleep a little. I will talk to you later Alicia." She slipped back into her room and shut the door.
Constance lay on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. So much had happened in such a short time. Her mother was alive...a lot of strange things were happening to Merrick. She shook her head a little. He looked different now, and that just attracted her further.

Cassandra smiled at Lorcan. "I must admit it is good to know that you feel the same about me as I do for you." She turned the necklace over gently in her hands. "I am not good at expressing my feelings really." She stood up and pulled her hair to the side as she handed the necklace to Lorcan. "Would you please?"

Alede OOC - Basically from right to left, the rooms for those four would be Merrick, followed by an empty room, then Constance, Alicia, and Merida. Alicia smiled faintly. "Rest well," she said with amusement as she walked towards her own room, between Constance's and Merida's. Lorcán chuckled as he looped the fine chain and connected it with a slight shift of his thumb. "It's funny that the most intelligent people tend to be the most awkward when it comes to social details," he said quietly. Merrick exhaled, shaking his head as he dried his long hair; he found it odd that while it looked thick, it was remarkably silky. He had changed into a pair of cargo pants and blinked as he noticed a pair of black sandals that looked like something out of '300' (Spartan sandals). He shrugged as he shifted his wrist, a small rippling pulse of light revealing his personal guitar before it landed in his palm. He smirked slightly as he started playing a tune he'd written over the week after meeting Merida and Constance. "Looking to the mirror

Constance sat up, propping herself up on her elbows as she heard the music. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she listened to the words with her eyes closed. When she opened them again she saw the vent that the sound must be coming from. Merrick sure did love to sing. She stood up from the bed and hesitated at her door. After a moment she pulled the door open and looked out. When she saw nobody she moved over to the room that Merrick had went into and knocked on the door.

Cassandra let her hair fall as she touched the pendant around her neck. She smiled as she turned and looked up at Lorcan. He was a full foot taller than she was. "I agree," she said softly. Everything he had done was so thoughtful. The flowers and the necklace were the nicest things she had received in a long time. "Well I am glad one of us was able to make the first move." She chuckled softly.

Alicia blinked as she heard the music as well, but dozed off around the second chorus.
Lorcán shrugged. "Meh, give me a good book any day... and I'll be satisfied. Come to think of it, I do need to check out those records I had Amelia bring about the McIlloch and McCloud clans... though it's interesting that Kasumi was in on it... she likely married into one or the other," he said thoughtfully
Merrick blinked, his fingers pausing on the guitar strings as he looked towards the door. He cocked an eyebrow. "It's open," he said wryly. He let his fingers drift lazily over the strings.

Cassandra nodded as Lorcan spoke. "Well then you should go check them out." She pushed her hair behind her ear. "We need anything that can help us figure out what we need to do to stop all this madness." She was still excited about the things that he had given her and still surprised. This was an amazing feeling, to be noticed and cared for.

Constance pushed open the door slowly. She stood in the doorway as she watched Merrick. "Um, sorry to disturb you, but I wanted to make sure you were okay." Her right hand held on lightly to her left arm lightly. "I really didn't get to ask you out there earlier." She motioned behind her, referring to when he had been coming down the hall with Merida and Alicia.

Alicia was sleeping deeply, though she shifted slightly on the bed.
Lorcán tilted his head thoughtfully. "Perhaps you can help me; sometimes having more than one pair of eyes can help to notice things that may otherwise be missed," he said thoughtfully.
Merrick smiled faintly. He was both amused and touched that she'd noticed his discomfort in more ways than one. He wasn't going to tell her that his senses were quite a bit keener than they'd been before and he could smell a subtle fragrance of mint and strawberry wafting from her."I've been worse, but I've never had something like that happen to me before... given a little time the stiffness and soreness may fade," he said with a sigh; he was troubled by the fact his mother was held by demons and apparently regularly tortured. He shifted his shoulders slightly, unaware that his muscles were denser and more visible.

Cassandra smiled and nodded. "Do you want to go back to the meeting room or look through them here?" She was glad that Lorcan had asked her to help him look through the scrolls. Now that she knew that he felt the same about her as she felt for him, she wanted to spend a little more time with him.

Constance chuckled softly and nodded. "Yeah..I am still getting used to the fact that my mother can speak through me." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I still have a bit of an headache." She noticed the changes to his muscles. In fact she noticed all the changes. "Umm, well if you're okay I guess I'll just head back to my room. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
