Kashiyoru hadn't meant to sleep through most of Spirit Week. But when your dorm room lacks windows and you sleep through just about anything, it's difficult not to oversleep events like this.
Kashi weaved around booths playfully chatting up other students along the way. He eyed a few students walking by, all wearing similar scarves and admired them for a moment. Then another student passed, and a few more, and it occurred to him they must be getting them from somewhere! As he opened his mouth to ask a passing student where he'd gotten his, Kashi's spotted the booth not far from his and made his way to it.
After a good six minutes inner debate he picked up two colors and held them up.
"What do you mean they don't match!? They're both blue!" He huffed and put them both back before going back to eying the many colors before him. He refused to walk away without a stunning scarf like all the others.

"No," she said flatly at Zhi. Rejected. A wave to Tseng. He was a springy one, wasn't he? All Conquest horsemen got an immediate smile from her though.
Ying just nodded quickly at her brother and continued to sew as quickly as her little hands would work. She didn't pay much attention to the boothgoers, instead letting her brother deal with them, but one case caught her attention.
Two boils seemed to be matching sets for a ghoul. "I will not take your seeds," she said defiantly, sliding the silver dots back at the two undead. "She must match them herself. It is her skill that will gift her a scarf, not yours."
Mostly she wanted to see if this baku really did have any skill. She was struggling to match strings earlier, so Ying was feeling a bit testy. She wanted to push this little baku to reach her ~potential~.
Then she went back to sewing.

Aw what? But they had just gotten the perfect----Ugh horsemen! Alexander's face fell, his usual easy smile disappearing from his face. "Uh, sorry Xiu. But here! You can keep trying, just use what I've got left over. Not usin it fer anythin else." He then proceeded to shove all of the seeds he had left into her hands.
And then waited expectantly for her to do him proud!
Aah...oops. Eyes widening, the baku stared up at the horsewoman anxiously. Was that so? "Ah--yes, I'm sorry! I'll try to pick out a pair myself." She was still quite determined to try getting one, and Mort and Alex's attempt to help her only raised her determination.
The only issue was where she would get the seeds. Staring at Alex's offered seeds with wide eyes, she immediately puffed her cheeks out and poured the seeds back into his hand, closing his fingers around them. "N-no, no, I can't!" Although her friends were willing to help her with that issue, Xiu still didn't want to impose by taking their money. So where would she--
Fortunately for her, a certain long-sleeved Conquest horseman decided to use that moment to flail his arms in protest when Ying rejected his request. A number of seeds went flinging into the baku, and as she bent down to gather them and offer them back, he merely cast her a brief glance, told her to keep them...
And went right back to flailing his sleeves at the other horsewomen. With a pitiful whine, he half-flopped over the booth and wriggled his arms at Ying.
Xiu merely stared with round eyes and murmured a quiet thank you. Turning back to the fabric and the threads, she furrowed her brows in concentration (probably more seriously then was needed for a task like this), leaning forward and humming thoughtfully. Well, this was a nice shade of pink, and of the pink threads...
Ah ha! She lifted up the pink thread and cloth, and then looked up at the horsewomen hopefully. "If I'm not mistaken, these two...?"

As soon as Kashi lifted the next two he realized... 'These are the same two things I picked up last time!' He just as quickly put them back down, took a step to the right and went back to selecting from the many many fabrics and strings.

Yeah I did just get seeds to get a scarf. XD Kashi will spend them all here if he has to!
Ying sewed the last stitch on Xiu's and then sat up with a start. "Aha! Aha I have finished them all, friends!" She emerged out from underneath her pile of scarves, smile bright. She bowed politely and said, "I am sorry to keep you waiting."
The Conquest horseman gave Kiwi a smile and a nod. "Thank you for your assistance with the flowers, earlier.
To Sharra, she said, "It was very kind of you to give your seeds to your friend. Your green color is very beautiful."
Amarus got a nod. Clearly the ghoul was on her way to coming a fashionista as well- the Conquest influences were showing in her robes! "The lotus is a nice touch," she said quietly, as if admitting some great secret.
"What lock do those keys go to I wonder ..." Ying mumbled as she handed out the next scarf, to Thackery
Ricar got a disapproving look. "You should not touch things that are not yours!" She handed him his scarf nonetheless. "Your skin makes for a wonderful pattern, though."
The next scarf she handed out went to Taima. "It will be nice to replace that rag- ah- bandana, won't it?"
Ying completely mistook Shikoba's war paint for something else. "Did it ... hurt to be slapped so hard?" Whether or not it did, Ying handed him his scarf and moved on.
The tiny Conquest ghoul actually stopped at Zhi and shoved him off the table. "You are a Conquest horseman! Act like one, or you will bring dishonor to our clan, friend." If she was mad, she didn't seem to show it. A cheery smile, and she handed him his scarf.
"Ah- those feathers are beautiful," Ying mused. "Maybe I could just ... borrow a few sometime?" Was it rude to use feathers from Vanya for clothing? If Ying thought so, she didn't say anything. Fashion was everything.
To Marosa, she gasped and put a hand over her mouth. "What pretty wings! I sometimes have dreams that I can fly, you know? Alas, that is reserved for the War clan, I suppose." She smiled and handed him his scarf nonetheless.
Joachim got a distinct frown. "Please keep those vermin away from the merchandise. Their little paws will ruin everything." Ohhh how Ying disliked animals.
At first, she thought Kashi's flames were real, and immediately jumped to cover their merchandise with her arms. Then, when she realized her error, she straightened and said, "Oh ... please excuse me."
Finally Ying reached little Xiu, who she patted lightly. "See? It is not so hard. You did it quite effortlessly when you really tried!" Xiu got a shiny medal in the form of a custom scarf. "Believe in yourself a little more, yes?"
When all was said and done, Ying let out a long breath of air. The festival was winding down and both she and Jing had worked very hard. She put a tiny CLOSED sign on the table and went to bury her face in her brother's backside. "I am tired. Let us have tea, brother."

Vanya clutched the scarf with a smile. "Thank you, it's wonderful."
She raised a brow. Borrow her feathers? "Oh!" she reached up to her head and plucked out a few of various lengths and hues with a little wince. It wasn't painful; but it was an odd feeling. Like pulling out a strand of hair. "They grow back rather quickly," she said, handing over the feathers. "My gift to you for the lovely scarves."

Marosa smiled sadly as he took the scarf, rubbing the material on his cheek. "Thank ye kindly, lass." His smile grew lighter as he wrapped the scarf around his neck, admiring the ends of it. "The workmanship is beautiful. It matches my wings almost perfectly." He flapped his wings delicately, just for her to see. "If ye'd like, ye can touch 'em. Just be careful."
