I can't shine like the Sun

Hehe, reading this was amusing. I usually dress goth or visual kei to school, and I dress lolita whenever I go out.
For some reason when I dress goth I get comments like "Why arn't you burning in the sun?" or "Are you a vampire?" or "OH MY GOD YOU EMO F***!" -sigh-.
But when I wear lolita with my friends, old ladies smile, small children point and say "Mommy, look at the princesses!" and everyone else takes pictures and stares like I just escaped from an asylum. I usually hate attention, but whenever I'm in lolita I love having people stare and ask questions =3 It's like a high, better than any drug ever could be.

So I'll just orbit you like the moon.

I don't know I always follow the notion that self esteem is the esteem of yourself so I in no way let others change that. I love it when I'm in Lolita and when people are dicks (which trust me lots of people are, I was once called a walking explosion of fat cake in a sweet Lolita outfit) I tend to keep walking pass them while smiling at a witty remark I'll make. I think my favorite rebuttal is "Trust me your idiotic behavior is more entertaining than my outfit", that or "(laughter) How sad is it that my purse is worth more than your whole outfit loser" XD. I guess I'm one of these crazy fighting Lolitas smile

Did I ever get called out for dressing the way I do? I was in casual lolita one day with this adorable miniature top hat, but apparently, I looked more like a "little bunny" (no offense intended) or "a monkey who cranked music out of a box (must be old lady humor). Society can be so cruel. T^T

I guess I kinda did..........

I am a punkloli and Kodona loli. I didn't want to cut my hair, so what I did was tie my hair in a ponytail, then put it all in my top hat.

One time, me and one of my friends stayed after school(high) to watch the guys soccer team play. I was dressed in full Kodona, with my top hat. My friend was a "hot" blonde chick, as many would describe her. A guy pulled me from behind and said,

"Dude! That chicks totally hot! You gotta 'buy' her before shes off the 'market' if you know what I mean *nudge* *nudge*"

I was in shock.

I was like "Uhh, I'm a girl, and I'm straight....."

He started laughing and calling me "flatty".........I lost my confidence and stopped wearing Kodona............but about 3 months later my friend convinced me to get over it cause she needed a Kodona to go with her as a date for a anime con.

Well, I haven't really had the time to put together a lolita outfit yet... I think everyone in my yeargroup who I consider a friend would be slightly wtf but ok with it. Everyone else would probably try to insult me... ^^; We have school uniform unless we're in collge/sixform, so I wouldn't be able to wear it in school until september anyways.

My friends think lolita is adorable but none of them wear it... I would be all lonely on my own in lolita. My parents would let me wear whatever except if I was dressed like a slut. (My mums a goth and my dad has gone to parties crossdressing before... ^^; He had to teach many girls how to walk properly in high heels funnily enough)

I have got a fair few strange looks when I've been kitted up in my full viking gear on the way to a re-enactment before. xD Good times. All the little kids in my neighbourhood were like "Are you a real viking?" Since i'm from Sweden etc, and it's well known amongst the kids that we have lots of swords. x]

The moms are usually like " biggrin You look like an angel!" But other teens, it's more like " eek WTF is that?" Or just staring and very obviously moving away from me. I try not to take offence, but it's hard.

I'll admit, I'm a bit of an "odd ducky", as my mom would say. I only have one lolita outfit and haven't worn it to school yet. However, I do tend to express my nickname alot. What's my nickname you ask? Kitty. Yes, that means I run around my high school with cat ears and yes, even a tail. A lot of the times I get weird looks from people I don't know and my friends laugh and call me cute/adorable/etc. I'll always remember this one time:

One morning, I was standing in front of the doorway to the cafeteria, waiting for my friend to get his breakfast. Here's a basic run down of my outfit for that day:
- My grey, Kuromi tank top with pink hearts on it.
- My black, pleated miniskirt with lace-up ties
- Black fishnets
- Black, converse, hightops
- My black lace gloves (think: generic hottopic brand)
- My black cat ears, with pink insides and my black tail

Out of the ordinary? Apparently. So these girls were standing a few feet away from me and one of them called to me. I looked around and then noticed them. One of them then looked me over, gave me a disgusted look and asked "Why are you wearing that?" My response? "Why wouldn't I wear it? *smile*" and she shut up after that. One of the other girls with her started laughing her a** off and said "Damn, I gotta use that line now"
