Other rabbits where passing him. He was sure one or two had already crossed the finish line. A part of his hear broke but he continued to run. To hell if he really wasn't fast enough! He was still going to finish.

At least he knew it was better than yesterday. Much better than the pitiful showing yesterday. He passed the finish line panting. He'd done another! Three more to go...

Dogsbane was still sore from the day before. But he begruddgingly showed up and started the race. He took one look at the thistles and thick brambles and shook his head, deciding to go the long way.
What a terribly slow start. He had finished in last the day before and had to redeem himself.

This was ridiculous! His legs wouldn't work properly, making him lag behind everyone else. He whimpered and settled for the slow pace.

He was starting to get his second wind by this point, his muscles untensing as he was finally able to pick up the pace a bit. But just.

And then there was a terrible slipping noise as he caught a patch of mud, rolled halfway down the hill and had to work his way back up, sapping his energy. At least he was halfway there.

He crossed the finish line...
But not before catching himself on a rock and landing face first infront of everyone who had already finished.
He was sore and tired and unsure if he should race again.

 +Birchbark+ It was to be a new race. He was not in the top, he wasn't even the runner up to be the top. Feeling foolish he sighed. What was the point now, he could not catch up to their speed unless they feel and tumbled like a newborn kitten. Still as the command to go was given, he took off. He would go the long way. A gamble, but this way he might get enough speed. The short, he would be slower but have a shorter time of it. (( ooc: 1/0 Total: 4 ))
