After having gathered as much as she could, Mei scurried about in the smoke. Finding the door seemed to be easy. But the smoke made her eyes burn, so she stopped momentarily to rub them.
No point in trying to escape if you can't see where you are going.

Of course, now she was lost.
Great. That is just what she needed. To be lost and then get caught with all this candy. She was pretty sure the police, who's sirens she could hear in the distance, wouldn't go quite that easy on her. Even if she was dressed up all pretty like. Was covered in glitter. And smelt like flower horsie pee.

But at least she wasn't lost for very long. Thank Jack. She would have hated to have wandered around Valentines for however long it took for her to get caught. Although she could see how easy it would be to get lost anyhow. Everything was so bright and fluffy it was certainly disorientating.
Finally she reached the edge of the woods. Quickly scurrying into the trees. And hoping she didn't pick up any other critters who wished to follow her. Hopefully flower pee wasn't something that attracted them...

The sound of distant sirens now seemed a lot closer. Mei stumbled over a fluffy rock as she darted into the woods. Had it always been this dark?
Hoisting her candy filled sleeves to her chest, she continued on. Slowly but surely. Hopefully the others had made it out and were on their way back to the portal as well.

Wandering past a flower patch, she gave it a wary look. It reminded her very much of the flower patch in which flower horsie came from....
Mei very quickly walked past it. She had had enough perfume smell to last her a life time. Didn't need anymore.

Hmm. This part of the woods seemed to be familiar. Of course, that could just be cause it all looked pretty similar anyhow.
Mei kept walking rather quickly. Was she making good time? The sirens seemed to be getting fainter now.

The fast walking was kind of starting to wear her out. Plus she hadn't seen any of the others a head of her or catching up with her. Mei stopped for a moment. Glancing about at her surroundings, was that movement in the bushes?
"Hello?" Leaning forward just slightly, she heard nothing else. Huh.

She stopped short as a group of hearts bounced by. Ducking behind a tree Mei waited for a few seconds before peeking around it. Looking left then right. A wave of relief washing over her as it seems they hadn't noticed her.
No more glitter barf. It was going to take a while to get the glitter out of places she didn't even know she could get glitter in.

There it was. Finally. The portal back to Halloween. Mei had never been so glad to see a portal in...well a while. Generally when she went through portals she was happy to go right back through them in the end.
As she approached she noted no other students yet. Perhaps they were on the other side? Just as she was going through she could of sworn she felt hands on her back. Mei stumbled through back into Halloween. Happy to be home once more.
When she looked around she noted no one else was there yet. Guess she was the first. She wasn't too sure if she should of stayed or left, but it seemed better to just stick around to make sure everyone else made it through too. Just to be safe.

Bought: Cherry drops and candied rose petals.
Mei kissed no one.

Sin was lucky that Belladonna had just adjusted her sash because the next thing she knew the room was filled with smoke and the alluring scent of pumpkin. What?! What was going on?! Oh jack damn! She threw herself at the counter and grabbed the only good looking candy there was and shoved most of it into the sash trusting her ample bounty to keep it all in place. A bunch of the little panty labels stuck to the sash from all those cherry drops and they mingled with the two Danny had given her.
"Lets get out of here!" She looked at Belladonna and Mort worried about them...they didn't do so well car hopping last time and if Desu didn't 'clear the road' as she'd said things might get ugly.

Sin was stalling, she really didn't want to leave the shop without Bella and Mort, but time did seem to be of the essence. She turned towards the door and - WHACK - oh jack damn...not the door. Ouch...ouch...ouch....okay she probably deserved that for trying to ditch in such a dire situation. Still she did not want to be caught in this store...literally red handed (or red breasted since those cherry drops were nestled in her sash).

The trouble was Sin was very disoriented, the room smelled like delicious fresh pumpkin and it was really hard to see anything through all the orange smoke. She reached out and slowly tried to feel her way towards the door taking mincing steps and cursing her luck.

Aha! A door thank jack-OW! She flipped over the counter and scrambled to keep the candies from falling everywhere. Okay...okay that obviously wasn't a door. She stood and pushed her hair back drawing her wings in and wincing, time to try again. She reached out and gingerly tried to feel for a wall or doorway.

Sin stumbled about a bit behind the counter before she found a wall and pressed herself back again it. She struggled to try and see through the orange smoke towards a doorway, not that she was having much luck.

Things weren't looking very good, but her mother always said 'It could always be worse Sin.' and mother was right. Sin wasn't sure HOW it could be worse, but she was certain it could be. Luckily she was just stumbling around a Valentines candy shop in pumpkin smoke totally lost and confused...it could be worse.
