Mack didn't seem to notice any of the guys as she move to sit by herself on the grass. Pushing her hair behind her hair she sat back looking up at the sky. To anyone who knew Mack, it would be the first time that she seem at peace with herself and everything around her. Closing her eyes a smile actually forms across her lips.
Sorya was speechless as she look at her big sister. She didn't knwo what happen, but Sorya was thrilled that Mack finally started to believe in herself. Looking down at PomPom she chuckles as she runs her fingers through her hair. She would go bug Mack later, for now she was curious about other things.
Standing she walks along the park just looking around, she was looking for something.

A stream of water - newly pressurized was aimed at Lorelai, but missed completely, splattering the table behind her. It was then that Dylan looked around, and realized how busy the barbeque was becoming. With his water gun lowered, the boy chewed on a lip.
A few people in particular looked like they would chew him up and spit him out if he were to accidentally get them wet.
The boy turned to Lorelai, and caught her own water spray directly in the face. In surprised, Dylan ducked back, his foot slipping on a wet patch of grass.... and fell ungracefully onto his rump. "Eee.... That hurt," he said quietly.
Dylan looked up at Lorelai, and then got back to his feet. "Maybe we should... stop?" He scratched his head while pondering the idea. "Getting, ah... some people wet," he distinctly looked at the dark man, "may not be a good idea...."
Plus, he still had food on his plate. He should go back to the table?

Daemos arrived late. And that was an understatement. The young ray hadn't found the party until just then and blinked as he came across the gathering without much warning. True, the sound is what drew him at first, but to see so many people gathered at once was, well, surprising - and made him a little nervous.
Slipping in, the boy found a plate and took a few snacks before finding a place to sit and watch. It seemed that everyone had already gotten into the swing of things and he wondered briefly if they would welcome another.
He looked down as the sauce for the veggies oozed onto his finger from the way he was holding his plate and frowned. But first, he had to finish what he'd started. Licking his fingers clean, he munched happily on the variety of vegetables he'd taken from the platters and glanced up occasionally to watch the goings on of the others.

Lorelai frowned as the spray hit Dylan right in the face. "Oh my! I'm sorry!" She hadn't ment that to happen.
"Umm...ok. Maybe we can play more later?" She didn't really want to quit, but she saw the man that Dylan had and he did seem a bit scarey. "Wanna eat together?" She hadn't gotten food yet, but she suddenly felt hungry.

Dylan wiped his face off, just to make sure all the water was out of his eyes. The boy smiled at Lorelai, he wasn't mad, and hoisted the water gun to his shoulder.
"Sure! My food from before is not good anymore, so I'll need more again." Dylan lead the way. He need both hands to grab more grilled seafood and veggies, so hooked the water gun onto his belt. "Hmmm, Lorelai, you should try this grilled.... thing. It is very good!" It was something wrapped in aluminium foil - it was lobster with a dash of butter.
Once his plate was full, Dylan grabbed a cup of water and then went to where he had sat before, where his mostly untouched food was cold and flies flew around it. "Oh, ick!" he pushed the infested plate away.
The boy shoved some food in his mouth, and put the watergun and some tools out. This time he was much faster in making the necessary adjustments so the watergun would be up to the level as the one he previously made.

((Pops in randomly))
Having heard murmurings around in the hallways, Belinda was eager to attend this event called a 'Barbecue'. She had no idea really what to expect, other than lots of food cooked outdoors, and maybe other children to meet. She had become determined to leave her room, unknowing that she was starting to get a bit of cabin fever being secluded for so long.
"Pain... iss my friend." she would whisper to herself as she walked. Her legs for the most part, didn't hurt often, only when she was overly active, or standing for long periods of time. She'd started chanting to herself, trying to overcome her obstacles and get out to do the things she'd longed to do.
Praying for the day the braces would come off her legs was long over. She'd learned that they might possibly be a permanant attachment now.
Hobbling towards the Park, the location she'd heard from the Nanny, the braces on her legs squeaked a little bit. Her eyes lit up when she seen all the food and people sitting around the table. So many people she didn't know. She couldn't help but glance around for the few she did know: Mack, Livvy and Krait.
She smiled sweetly, but remained quiet as she passed a few of them, heading towards the plates and cutlerly as she eyed the available morsels. The cooking meat smelled divine, and she didn't know how hungry she was until the aroma hit her nostils.

With a small yawn, the young angel girl brought a delicate little hand up to cover her open mouth as she flew towards the smells that had her stomach grumbling.
She had merely 'awoken' only a short time ago, and couldn't ever remember the last time she'd actually eaten anything. Without thought nor care as to where she was going, or why, she gracefully glided into the park, only to slow down a little bit when she spotted the large picnic spread and other Rosins. A smile formed on her thin lips and she dove straight down towards where the little blue snake girl was starting to get some food for herself.

Lorelai nodded and followed Dylan around the food table. She picked some of the same things, but also put a few fruits and veggies on her plate.
Lorealia sat down next to him and took out the girlled thing Dylan had reccomened. She took a bite and smiled, "Ooooh, that's yummy!" She ate the rest as she watched him work on another watergun.

Yawning Mack shook her head trying to figure out why she was so out of it all of a sudden. Pushing her hair away from her face, she leans against the tree for a moment. Pushing away from it she actually stumbles falling to her knees. Shaking her head again, she was having a hard time keeping her eyes open.
Sorya hadn't notice her sister at all, her eyes were focused on soemthing else in the distance. With a smile forming along her lips she glance around before she picks up Pom Pom. Moving quickly she slips out of the park running down the road. She had to move fast, as she knew she could at this point. After all the scary man was not in his tower wtaching.

[The Nameless One] Captain
|
Posted: Fri Aug 10, 2007 8:14 pm
The Nameless One smiled a very creepy smile to himself, amused at the turn out at the festivity. He'd not been expecting so many, but they seem to be having fun at the event. He noticed Belinda arrive, and her efforts to walk with her broken leg. This he thought might be an oppurtunity for his newer guest to be introduced.
Walking silently towards the angelic Rosin, The Nameless On placed his hands behind his back and casually peered down at the young girl. The leaning down, he whispered with a little his in his voice.
"The you girl with the brace on her leg, perhaps someone of your ... "gifts" might be of benefit to her... yes?"
With that he winked and walked away, only to pause near the table and reach behind him. He pulled out a small plastic toy cross bow, black in colour and suddenly pointed it at Dylan.
" You know Dylan, with practice, you could do this"
And with a small "twang!" a black rubber dart launched from the crossbow, and stuck to the end of Dylan's nose.

Dylan was still working on his watergun, trying to point some of the changes he was making to Lorelai... and explaining why he was changing it and why. "See, the watergun uses pressure to get the required strength. So the make these continuously pressurize, I could add a pump or a kind or wheel. I don't have anything to run the pump, so by essentially adjusting this piece here...." He paused as he made the changes, "The watergun will pressurize while you pull the trigger and spray the water." Of course, he had to find a way to initially pressurize it, but the boy thought that may get too complicated.
He was so enraptured with making the changes, telling Lorelai, and eating, that it wasn't until the dark man had spoken to him directly that he even knew he was there.
The next thing he knew, there was a rubber dart on his nose! With a note of surprise, Dylan jumped up out of his seat and pointed his mostly-finished watergun at the dark figure. But he hesitated, he probably should not spray this one with water.... but there was the dart on his nose, evidence.... In the boy's eyes indecision flickered. He'd have to make a choice, and soon.

Lorelai ate as she watched and listened to Dylan talk. He was showing her how to make the watergun better, it was really neat. She would have never been able to do that on her own.
Lorelai jumped as the black dart hit Dylan on the nose. Her hand covered her face as she saw who did it and Dylan's reaction. Was it wise to be pointing a gun at that scarey guy? She just sat back and waited to see what happened next.

The food tasted good...
Ora didn't even notice the greetings from the others until about three quarters the way through the plate that had been stockpiled with meat. It was then his mind registered what had happened... He looked up and was surprised to see how far the sun had moved in what felt like such a short time. He worried for a moment that this might be a problem but then saw that not many people had noticed too much. While he had been gorging there had been a lot of people added to the growing throng. Seeing Dylan chatter about something he smiled and started to make his way towards the blue one he stopped short when the dart appeared as if out of nowhere. Ora wondered what was going on, why were people shooting each other. Thinking back as his mind produced the images he had been watching while he was in hos gorging stupor he then realized that was what they had been doing before. It was soon after that he realized Lorelai had also sent him a greeting. With that in mind he thought it would be prudant to stay out from the dual between Dylan and The Nameless One and greet her back.
"Sorry for earlier... I must have not heard you." He looked positively embarrassed and hoped that she hadn't taken offense to his ignorance.

Lorelai surprize was interrupted by Ora. "Oh, that's ok!" She smiled happily, glad to have a distraction from the Dylan, Scarey Guy fight. "How are you?"

Dylan wasn't sure what to do. It was probably a bad idea to poin a watergun, or anything really, at the ruler-creator-enforcer of Toxicity... but... he shot him! The boy really did not want to stand down, even given who this man was. He chewed his lip thoughtfully in indecision.
Finally, Dylan lowered the nozzle and pulled the dart off his head. He still stood, but just glared up at the dark figure instead.
Ora was there now, he had seen the teen arrive, but had been preoccupied. But.... Dylan took a breath and sat back down. Before saying or doing anything else he put the last pieces back on the watergun - those that were omitted due to the quick draw of it. That done, the boy finally looked over at Ora. He was still rather miffed about the dart, but thought to try and move past it -- he still eyed the dark man from out of the corner of his eye.
"It's alright, Ora. You were probably just distacted by the food," Dylan smiled a little, but given his mood the expression just didn't quite reach his eyes.

Aryane was startled by the tall, dark man, but not visibly so. She stayed silent as he whispered to her and then let her eyes wander to wards the girl with the leg brace. She continued to pile more fruit upon her plate as she pondered what TNO had said to her.
As she dawdled around looking for a spot to sit, she tapped each finger of her right hand against her thumb, contemplating her 'gifts' and how they could benefit the girl.
It wasn't quite obvious to her yet that the brace wasn't supposed to be there.
Belinda was smiling as she watching the other kids interacting with each other and was absent-mindedly just pulling little bits of food on her own plate. Without making a sound, she quietly found a spot to sit down and hoped she hadn't drawn attention to herself. While she was famished, she was more interested in observing the goings on.
Aryane sat near Belinda, more interested in her, than the others for now, as TNO had singled the girl out for some reason. After popping a grape into her mouth, she finally spoke. "Hey, I'm Aryane."
Belinda had only just barely caught the girl's name, as she'd not been paying attention to the stranger that sat beside her. "Belinda...niccce to meet you." she said quietly, extending her little hand towards the girl to be polite. She smiled brightly, excited to meet a new friend.
Still confused which of her gifts could be used on the girl, Aryane just looked at Belinda, but didn't want to be rude and flat out ask her why TNO would say such a thing to her. Hey, what's wrong with you? isn't exactly polite conversation.
