Shyirah nodded slowly, to both Ewan and Amelia. She didn't dare breathe a word while everyone was in such a high-strung stressful situation. It was one thing to lose someone, but another to not be able to properly mourn them when more pressing matters were at hand.
She gritted her teeth, made sure her wound was tied up tightly with a piece of fabric that she had torn off of her dress just prior, and slowly rose to stand on both of her feet. Sharp pains rippled out from the wound and up her spine, but Shyirah, through her constant scuffles with opponent wolves much larger than her, had built up quite the pain tolerance. So she did what she had to do, and quietly limped over to where the others had gathered.
It was then that she finally spoke. In the softest tone that she could muster, she simply muttered to Amelia "I'm sorry.. Ma'am. Just tell me what you need me to do."
Shyirah steeled herself, trying her best to ignore the pain she was in. Because she knew it was nothing compared to the shared pain the others had for their fallen comrade. So it was best if she kept quiet for the meantime.
Had she known what she would have gotten into by wandering off that day just to nap in peace, Shyirah would have listened for once and stayed put. There was no telling what was going to happen to her here in this strange foreign place.

"Oh, that's good to hear," Isadora sighed relief. Not only was Tibarn was okay, but so was Amelia. And if Amelia was okay, that would mean the others were too. This made the paladin was eased.
Suddenly, she saw the cat named Sunil began to freak out after Tibarn told him about another cat. She wasn't sure what he was being jumpy about. Could it be that he had never met another cat? That couldn't be right. After all, there were other cat laguz roaming in Eyris such as Lethe and that white cat from the Cloak organization. Was there something she wasn't aware?
Isadora jumped when Tibarn stomped across the room and hauled up the thief that the boys pinned down earlier. After hearing what the laguz were saying to the thief, the Dame Knight turned her attention to Calill.
"Miss Calill, have you manage to disarm the bomb?" Surely, the sage didn't forget the order Isadora had given her before the laguz came in.
Although the tiger was unsure if there were bandits hidden in the city as well as the bombs, he could still smell the blood lingered in the air. He wasn't sure who got injured, but if he was close enough, he would be able to identity.
The tapping of the metal shoes rang in his ears, informing him that the paladin was following him. Was the paladin covering his back from bandits? Probably, but at least it was nice to have someone watching your back. You couldn't tell if there was danger around, especially with bombs readied to be triggered and exploded.
As he made a left turn, he smelled another fresh scent. It was a salty scent, informing him that he was heading toward the port. Did something happen at the port? Only one way to tell it and that was to get there.
The tiger quickly made a mad dash to the port, leaving small trial of dusts and the paladin behind him. Whether the paladin wished to catch up with him was up to Sain. Right now, he had to see for himself.
When he came to the port, he saw the blond girl that he met at the Marketplace. What was her name? Amanda or something? Eh, he would figure her name out once he got there. And it seemed the blondie was not alone. Along with her were a red-headed beorc,, a female beorc, and a cat laguz. They were all huddling over something large and metal. Curious what happened, Rajin changed his form before reaching up with the others.
"Hey, I smelled blood coming from here. What the he- Oh... s**t."
Well, that answered his question. Being surrounded by people was a dead ally. Sure, he wasn't familiar with the baldy, but seeing how people surrounding meant that this person was an ally. How close they were to the dead soldier? He wasn't sure, but what a bad time to come in to know what was going on.
"Um... Sorry about your buddy there." Rajin spoke to the blond general while rubbing the back of his neck. He wasn't sure what had happened at the port, but it was better not to ask. Seeing the blond's face told him that she was crying her eyes out. Maybe he needed to lighten the sad tension up. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Sain Ladies how about a lovely dinner? Sain continued to follow Rajin all the way to the port. He noticed when her got there, that there were people huddling around something. He got off Homeros and went to go get a better look.
The paladin paled at what he saw. He saw a body, but it wasn't just any body. It was Wallace. Shock and disbelief started to fill his mind. He slowly made his way over to the body. Once Sain got close enough to really confirm in his mind that Wallace was dead, his legs gave out and he fell to his knees. No sound of movement came from him after that, not even as the tears fell down his face. After all I am a noble knight of Caelin!

Amelia turned away from Iris as footsteps approached, raising her weapon instinctively before lowering it again. Rajin, the tiger she could recall running into in the past, had arrived from elsewhere. She glanced towards Wallace, then back at Rajin. Even though she had been nearly sobbing earlier, and tears still flowed every so often, soundless and swift. "Thank you, Rajin," she told him. She was quiet, but her voice carried a tone of finality to it, spine straighter than it had ever been. "Tell me, are the others returning here? Do they know to find us here? Or do they have plans to go elsewhere?"
She paused, glanced at Shyirah, and then held up a finger to Rajin -- Hold on, just a minute -- and turned to face her properly. "Shyirah. How does your leg feel? Did any gravel or debris embed into the wound?" she looked down at her wrapped-up wound, then back at the girl's face. "Go speak to Ewan, right over there. Red robes. He'll heal you up, quick and easy. I don't want you hurt or slowed down, not now."
She looked back at Rajin then. "We're going with you to meet up with them, if they aren't coming back here anytime soon. All of us. I'm not leaving anyone back here alone and leaving anything to chance." She faced Iris, nodding slowly to her. "Whatever you did to the other bandits around here, it... worked. It clearly worked. I want you sticking close, especially. You're talented with magic, otherwise, and your skills may be invaluable if the situation turns south again. Got it?"

"Many times I've fought, and many times I've fallen, but I'll never give in when I hear you callin'!" x - [Leon Vatara] - x ▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ Leon acted as fast as he could. He followed order to investigate the docks, quickly giving orders of his own. Many of the bombs he and his fellow Watchmen found were decoys. Leon gritted his teeth in frustration. The more time he spent here, poking around false leads, the more he spent away from his allies who surely needed him.
"It's all clear, Captain Vatara." a watchman reported with a salute.
"Alright, let's head back!" Leon exclaimed. He had a bad feeling that something awful was about to happen. It was quiet around the docks. Too quiet. Anri picked up on his anxiety, starting to get uneasy on his feet. Leon could feel him shaking. The watch's Captain patted his horse's mane softly in an attempt to calm him, before making a quick advance.
Anri's hooves thundered against the cobbles as he carried Leon closer to his comrades. Leon wasn't thinking about his surroundings. He didn't take note of the obvious lack of bandit activity, when the rest of the city had been crawling with them. He didn't notice one more bomb that was left lit until it was at the end of its fuse.
Fizz...
The sound came loud enough for Leon to hear over the commotion of the city turned battleground. His eyes grew big as saucers, and a sense of dread quickly came over him.
"Take cover!" Leon yelled at the top of his lungs.
A loud, deafening boom filled the area around him. Leon managed to shield his eyes in a split second. The force of the blow sent him flying off Anri's back, landing in a heap on the cobbles. He lie there still for a moment.
Minutes passed until Leon stirred. His body ached from head to toe. It was hard to move, but he had to. With every ounce of his will, he stood, using his poleaxe as a support. The knight coughed as dust and debris mixed in with strong winds that blew from the east.
The ominous boom of another explosion was heard from a distance not too far from where he stood. The ground shook slightly, but it was not enough to knock Leon off balance. His eyes scanned the area, searching for the watch squad who'd followed him, along with his faithful war horse. "Everyone, where are ya? Say something!" Leon exclaimed.
"We're here, sir!"
A wave of relief washed over Captain Vatara as he saw them rise up from the ground, one by one. He'd counted heads. They were all here, just bewildered like he was. There were nicks and cuts in the watchmen's armor, but they would be fine. "Thank goodness I warned them in time." Leon thought.
Nearby, Anri struggled to his feet. At first his legs wobbled like a newborn colt, and his first few steps were slow and unsteady. About the fifth or sixth step, the horse kept his balance, walking easily to Leon and nuzzling his chest. The watch Captain managed a light chuckle, patting his horse on the snout.
"It looks like we're all here." Leon said, looking to each of his watchmen as he addressed them. "We've gotta go straight ahead. I heard another explosion. There might be survivors."
Leon climbed atop Anri's saddle, clicking the horses's reigns to make him go forward. He reached the site of the second explosion in almost no time at all. There were survivors, mostly people he knew - Rajin, Amelia, Sain, Alex, Iris, Ewan, and a girl he did not know. But there was one who didn't make it. Leon dared to look. He knew who was lying there almost instantly.
Captain Vatara stepped off his horse, shutting his eyes in quiet respect. "Goodbye, Wallace." he muttered, placing a hand over his heart. Leon hadn't known him well, but he thought the man deserved a moment of silence.
This quiet was not the calm before the storm, but the despair that came after. Even Sain had been paralyzed into grief-stricken silence. Seeing him that way hit Leon close to home. It reminded him all too much of his own losses.
"Sain, stand up." Leon said. Although he was trying to give an order, his voice was beginning to crack. Even so, the Watch Captain stood up straight and kept a strong, neutral face. He rested his hand firmly on the other knight's shoulder. "We can't fall to pieces. Not now, not ever. We came here to save Pentheus, and I know we can! After that, Eyris will be needin' us to keep the scum off the streets. So don't you dare give up. And don't go runnin' off seekin' revenge either. Our city - our country needs every last one of us, Sain! Do ya understand?" ▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ x - [Watch Captain] - x [Oh my God guys, it took me 4 hours to write this. *flops over, asleep at keyboard* Let me know if it needs editing. **Edit: Now with music!]

Nodding once again to Amelia, she gave the blonde woman a strained smile. It's not as if a minor injury like that was going to do too much harm to her permanently, but Shyirah wasn't about to refuse help. Without a word, she slowly limped over to the sage in the bright red robes and flashed a small smile at him.
"Hey there, could you do me a big favor?" she asked in the sweetest voice possible. Carefully, and veeery slowly, she unwrapped her wound and tossed aside the scrap of fabric before speaking again. "Could you heal me up? I've gone and gotten myself hurt. And I'm pretty sure there's some bits of shrapnel embedded in the wound.." Shyirah told him before taking a seat on the ground to take all the weight off of her leg. She looked over the injury and could clearly see some foreign matter stuck in it as blood began to flow down the sides her calf.

"Can't say for sure," Rajin replied, continued rubbing his neck. "I was all by myself when I got back in the city. Met the guy crying over there before meeting you guys. But I guess I can track them down. Of course, I need-"
He was quickly interrupted when the blonde general held her finger to silent him before turning her attention to the cat. Wait? This cat got injured? How did the cat got hurt, he couldn't figure out. He usually knew that cats were quite agile to avoid danger. Perhaps the cat was trying to save someone or something. After all, he still didn't know what happened here at the port.
Once Amelia finished talking to the cat, she told him that they were going to meet with the others. He wasn't sure who these others were, but he took a guess that one of them must be Tibarn. After all, she was one of the crew leader and with Tibarn being a crew leader, it would make sense.
"Okay, I'll see if I can pick up their scents," Rajin replied. "And with that cat's help, it would be better to save time to track them."
Thinking that the cat was part of Tibarn's army, he turned his attention to the cat. Before Amelia could tell him that Shyirah wasn't, he shouted. "HEY CAT!! Change your form and help me pick up Old Man Tibarn's scent! We can track him and the others down easily if we work together!"
With that said and done, Rajin changed into his tiger form. Although he didn't like the idea to act like a dog, picking up scent and track them, what choice did they had? The city was filled with smoke, fire, and blood. It would take forever for a normal dog to find a certain person. However, with a laguz, he should be able to.
Let's see... Rajin sniffed. People I don't know. People needed to know how to bathe themselves. People with smelly feet. I need to get myself a handkerchief to blow my nose after this. Su- ... Goddamnit! That cat was here and left? Where the hell did he go this time? Grr... I'll find him later after this.
It took the tiger a while to find Tibarn's scent. Once he found it, he let out a growl to let Amelia know he found it before sprinting off toward the city, following the Hawk King's scent.

Sain Ladies how about a lovely dinner? Sain let Leon's words soak for a moment. The shock slowly fading from him. "Captian Leon," Was all he could could get out. He was trying to hold back sobs. He took a few breaths to calm down before speaking again.
"He was a man I had great respect for Captain!" He yelled, fearing that if he was soft with his voice, he wouldn't be heard or that he would start to cry. "He left retirement as a knight to help a young lady I myself was helping back home! Lord Wallace gave insight to me and my fellow knight Kent on how to be an honorable knight!" The paladin then stood up and turned to Leon.
"He wouldn't want me to sit here and mope!" He was still yelling, but there was a fierce look in his eyes, "He would want me to make sure that the city is safe!" He wiped the tears from his eyes. "Come on Captain, our job is not done! We have to protect Pentheus, its what we do as knights!" Sain made his way back to Homeros and got on him. "Ready when you are Captain!"
Even though there was sadness in his heart, he knew his duties as a knight came first and as far as he knew the city was not safe. After all I am a noble knight of Caelin!

Leon had managed to reach him before he went off the deep end, and did something drastic. Leon's eyes met his. The captain's gaze softened in sympathy and understanding.
"Believe me when I say it, constable Sain... I know exactly how ya feel." said Leon. "War is such an ugly thing. It's taken the lives of so many, even people close to me. It takes the young before they can be somethin' special, and the old when they're supposed to be restin' without worry."
As Sain spoke through his tears, with passion in his voice, Leon simply nodded his head in agreement. "You're right..." he said. Leon looked to the sky for a moment, as if to glance at the Heavens themselves. "He would've wanted us to finish the job. I'm sure of it."
"Because everyone who's fallen is keepin' an eye on us." Leon added in his mind.
Leon looked back at the others who had gathered around their fallen comrade. "C'mon, everyone. Sain's got the right idea. Let's move out! "Yeah, I heard you. I'll have you patched up before you can say..."
Oh, who was he kidding? The comment died halfway through, his lips pursing into a rather grim and serious expression as he held out his staff do go about his work. People really never did appreciate the time and effort that came with this kind of work, especially since it stopped being impressive and appreciated after a few times witnessing it. But that really wasn't what was bothering him. Even if he had a record of being the bright bubbly beacon of happiness in hard times, there was just a bitter taste in his mouth that he couldn't shake off. A lot of "what if"s start making their way through your thoughts at a moment like that, especially when he had been the last to interact with Wallace. He had been the one that had made sure he had been in fighting condition, that allowed him to jump into the fray out-matched and out-maneuvered. But what if it had been Amelia instead? Would she had ended up any worse for the wear than him? ...To be honest, it was a thought that churned about his stomach, leaving a rather sickening impression on the distracted Sage.
"There you go, seems like you were needed too. Just..." He remained silent for a moment, clutching the staff in hand to the point it was in danger of breaking skin. Frustration at himself, at the situation around him, and just..everything was starting to pick away at his cheery disposition. "...Make sure you get back for the victory dinner, yeah?" Weak laughter punctuated his statement as he brought up his coverings again, huddling into his various layers as he was once again reabsorbed into the crowd.
For once in his life, he actually felt...small.

~Calill~ Weirdest. Day. Ever. And that’s coming from someone who participated in all the ******** in FE10. And now there was a cat laguz who saved Calill from a bandit and also the Hawk Tribe’s leader, Tibarn, whom Calill was at least a little more familiar with, having travelled with him before. But now wasn’t the time for words; now was the time for actions.
Calill nodded to Lady Isadora when the Dame Knight asked the Sartorial Sage (totally her new official title; it’s been christened) to defuse the bomb in the room. Relying on her allies to protect her from their assailants as she went to work on addressing the presumably magical bomb, Calill went to work examining it to determine what magical machinations were at work with it and what she would need to do in order to render it harmless.
While doing so, she inevitably realized what potency this thing had: compared to the previous bomb they had experienced, this was exponentially more dangerous; if thing went off, they were all going to die – no pressure! Meanwhile, the sounds of bandits and fighting and screaming were all ringing about as Calill had to perform this task of tremendous gravity.
But when it was necessary to be serious, Calill rose to the occasion; homegurl has the walk to match all her talk. Blocking out everything else that was going on, focused entirely on the task at hand, Calill realized that whatever magical runes were at work and whatever intricate steps would be necessary to neutralize them in a magical manner didn’t even matter.
That Bill guy was loudly blabbering endlessly and it felt like all eyes were on Calill. She calmly walked across the room to a counter and grabbed a flower vase that was inexplicably intact, removed the flowers from it, and then walked back to the bomb. She then proceeded to pour the water in the vase on the bomb. That’s all it would take. Such a simple solution to such a seemingly complex challenge.Calill gracefully turned to face everyone and confidently announced: “The bomb is dealt with!” There was a typical confident, seductive grin on her face.

"Ahaha, for real? Fantastic!" Tibarn laughed heartily!
And then he turned back to poor Bill. "Well. What should we do with this one, then?" he asked the room at large, smirking as he hoisted Bill into the air. "I mean, here we have a man who tried to blow up a heavily populated city block," he sighed. "In Phoenicis, we had this-- well this old thing, I think my father's... father came up with it, for crimes like that, we would bury him up to his neck in sand, facing away from the sea, and let the tide come in." He glanced at Sunil. "Ideas?"
”Hm…” The cat pondered, trying to think of what sort of punishments they had dished out during his time. There were quite a number of them, but the way most of them were handled weren’t very humane (especially when it was a master punishing a slave), and he would probably end up getting in trouble one way or another. ”There was something similar to that that used to be done in Hatari. The same thing is done, the burying up to his neck bit, only they’re left out there under the scorching sun. Instead of drowning, you can get heatstroke.” Sunil glanced out the window. ”The Sentrian sands aren’t too far from here, but the beach is much closer. Oh, maybe we can get the seagulls to come peck at him if we sprinkle food around him!”
”Oho, now that’s a fun idea. What do you say, sir?” Tibarn asked, flashing a winning smile as he turned back to Bill, who was still squirming in the hawk’s grasp. ”Come on, you get to play with li’l sand birds! And crabs. Oh man, we could have crab for dinner, just pick ‘em off his corpse after. This idea just keeps getting better,” he sighed.
”But this isn’t Phoenicis, or Hatari. We’re Learanians now,” he murmured. ”We’re better than that.” His grip tightened just a bit, slowly choking the air out of Bill’s lungs. ”I don’t like it; now I’ll admit you haven’t earned the drowning and the sand, but if I was still King, you would be dropped into the square from four hundred feet up,” he hissed softly, squeezing a bit harder, watching Bill’s face redden as Tibarn pressed him to the wall. ”But I’m not, and you will thank your bandit gods day in and day out that you get the absolute luxury of rotting in a prison cell in Eyris, and the glorious opportunity to work in the yard, see the sun, and offer us information about Drake’s forces.” The anger Tibarn had been holding back since he’d seen Gerlach take an arrow to the throat was bubbling over. How dare this man threaten Learanian soil, his comrades, put them in harm’s way? How dare he throw a knife at… at whatsisname over there, or try to take Red Guy hostage!?
He watched Bill’s eyes roll into his head, aware that his arm was shaking and he could feel the man’s trachea collapsing, and he immediately dropped the unconscious thief to the floor. ”Wh-whoa! Haha, almost… overdid it, there,” he mumbled. ”Alright, lemme… bag ‘n’ tag this guy… Izzy, can you get him to… I guess find the support unit, actually? I’ll hold onto him for now.” he sighed, looking for some rope and cloth to tie and gag the bandit with.
It wasn’t long before Tibarn stepped back out into the sunlight, an unconscious, bound, and gagged thief draped over his shoulders, and perked his ear as he heard the sound of padded feet approaching. His heart panged-- Gerlach… -- but the steps were too heavy to be a cat’s. Wolf? No clicking claws, so Tiger.
That’s about as far as he got before he could actually see Rajin coming around the corner. ”Hey!” he called, lifting one arm to wave. ”Over here!”
Sunil was a little concerned when he noticed that Tibarn was tightening his grip on the thief, but the Hawk King hadn’t forgotten who or where he was and released the man after he had fallen unconscious. The cat internally sighed in relief and, after helping tie up the remaining bandits, followed the others outside. His ears picked up the sound of furry feet approaching before he turned to look at the source of the sound. There was no mistaking that color of fur. It was Rajin. But…Sunil was certain that Rajin wouldn’t come into a disaster zone, full of fire and explosions and other things that would certainly be more harmful for a Beast Laguz than for the other Laguz Tribes. So then, why was he here? Unless…
Don’t tell me he came here because of me… the cat thought weakly. He was aware that Rajin was always looking out for him, such as the time when he had taken Lethe out to the ball months ago. The Tiger found out and had personally made sure the cat was properly groomed to take the female out. It was a little embarrassing, but the tiger was more caring than he let on.
”Anyway, Tibarn. What was that about a cat who believed she was a wolf? Did someone from Tellius pop up here, in the middle of this warzone?”
”Ah!” Tibarn shifted Bill on his shoulder, nodding. ”Yeah, yeah, yeah, I almost forgot about that. This scruffy-looking cat was stuck in a tree like five feet off the damn ground-- no, I’m not exaggerating-- and once we calmed her down she got all huffy when I called her a cat. Said she’s a wolf. But she doesn’t have the tail or ears for it. She’s definitely a cat.” He looked up at Rajin, and started walking toward him. ”Hey, you seen her, yet? Or Amelia? I was gonna head back to her sooner but I kinda got sidetracked here.”

It was quite a relief when Calill had disarmed the bomb. Thank goodness that was taken care. If the bomb wasn't disarm, who knew what would have happened if the bomb was set off.
But before the Dame Knight could relax, she watched Tibarn and Sunil giving suggestions about punishing the thief before the man passed out. The paladin felt the urge to slap her hand against her forehand but resisted. Instead, she just shook her head in disbelief. While it was nice to hear that they were going to take the man as prisoner instead of burying him up to his neck, the Hawk King overdid it to scare the poor fellow to pass out. However, it was a good thing the thief didn't pee himself out of fright. Seriously, that would be a horrible stench to smell when heading back to Eyris.
"I'll see if Sir Kieran will like to escort him to Eyris. I just need to write a letter to Vaida about the prisoner as well as giving Sir Kieran the map." Isadora replied. While the Hawk King was busied tying and gagging the bandit, the paladin wrote a letter to Vaida. Isadora also explained to Kieran that he was no longer in his world, but in a new world called Learania. As much as she liked to inform him that they were in the middle of the war, this was not a good idea to bring a newcomer with them, especially one who had injured himself. Therefore, she gave him a mission to send the bandit back to Eyris as prisoner. She informed Kieran about which route to take and who to meet up as she showed the red paladin the map of Learania and Eyris. Hopefully, Vaida would help him adjust to the new life in Learania... Er... Perhaps having Vaida to help would be a terrible idea.
She handed the letter to Kieran and informed him to deliver the message to a scarred and fierce woman named Vaida as they both followed Tibarn behind. While Kieran went to fetch their horses, Isadora heard Tibarn shouted. She turned around to see a black tiger heading toward them. If it's one of their ally, did that mean the others were coming?
While Rajin was following Tibarn's scent, he caught another familiar scent. That scent was Sunil. Did that mean both Tibarn and Sunil went in the same direction? He wasn't sure, but he had to follow. After all, Amelia did order him to find them. And with them following behind him, he had to lead them.
As the tiger turned around the corner, his ears perked when he heard someone shouting. Raising his head, he saw the Hawk King waving at him. Did the old bird wait for him to come? Nah, that couldn't be.
Rushing over to meet the Hawk King, he quickly changed his form and stood up, few feet away from Tibarn. "There you are. Where the hell you've been? The others were wondering where you're at."
It wasn't long until the tiger noticed that Tibarn was holding a gagged bandit over his shoulder. Whoa, did something happen here? Surely, the old bird wouldn't go after a mere bandit. That guy looked weak compared to the laguz.
Rajin picked up few words from Tibarn and Sunil's conversation about a cat who thought she was a wolf. Whoa, wait? A cat who thought she was a wolf? If the war wasn't so serious and tense, the tiger who had laughed his arse about this. Just then, the Hawk King asked him if he saw the cat. Holding back his snicker about it, he answered.
"Yeah, I saw her. She's with Amelia and the others. As a matter of fact, they're coming here to meet us."
"They're coming to meet us?" Isadora questioned Rajin when she listened to the conversation. A sigh of relief escaped her lips. Oh thank St. Elimine. It was nice to hear that Amelia and the others were coming. Hopefully, everyone was okay. Now what they need to do was to see if Pentheus was safe from being exploded as well as finding the leader who did this.
Turning her attention to Tibarn, she spoke. "Tibarn, may we have the prisoner now? Kieran needed to escort him to Eyris if we needed to get information from him."
