Kenji nodded back as he and his sensei parted ways to work on their own personal techniques. He couldn't help but be curious, looking back to see what his sensei was doing. It looked like some sort of sand technique, but it was colored like the stuff he was working with earlier. The genin didn't dwell on it for long since he had his own jutsu to worry about. He took a deep breath and took out his clan's scroll. In all the time he's had it, he'd never once looked inside...until now.
The first technique looked simple enough: imbuing his sword with raiton chakra. Kenji nodded, tucking the scroll away and drew the partially hidden blade from behind his blazer. His eyes narrowed on the blade as he focused his chakra into it. The wakizashi dimly glowed white from the energy now flowing though it. He held the glowing sword in one hand while brandishing the scroll again with his free hand. A technique to extend the range of the blade caught his eye and seemed simple enough for him to try next. Again, he looked to the sword in hand and concentrated on extending the chakra. In order to pull it off, he needed to pour in more chakra. The moment he did, the blade grew to the length of a katana and shined brightly. [ Learned- Raiton: Tanto Yaiba (Lightning Release: Tanto Blade) {1/1} ]
"So far, so good"Kenji mumbled to himself, checking the scroll for another technique to learn. Of course, the one that stated he could fire the chakra in his wakizashi at his opponents had to be next. He took the time to read it carefully and understand how to do it, as well as the effects of using it. The young Hatake nodded to himself and tucked the scroll away. Pointing the sword at a nearby dummy, the genin took a deep breath and forced his chakra through his arm. The raiton chakra shot into the wakizashi, causing it to flash before the bright energy fired off. As a beam, it traveled from the blade until it met with the dummy and promptly blew it to pieces. Sheathing his sword, the genin was beginning to feel a little tired but wasn't ready to take a break. There were only a few more he could learn and he didn't want to stop now. Once he got them down, then he'd allow his body to rest. Right now he was in the zone and didn't want to lose steam. As he looked over the clan scroll, Kenji looked up and caught his sensei...well he didn't actually know what was going. It looked like he was being pulled toward that training dummy but he couldn't be certain.

Kaz Tilted his head some. Having a hard time telling if she was hitting on him or wanting to fight, or both. Ether way it was obvious that a spar was in order. Kaz took a stance with one spear in front of him pointed outward while he tucked the other into his side, under his arm. He felt slightly bad due to the range difference but this was not his idea. He was going to be careful not to cause any bad wound on this girl. She was in fact his same rank and she didn't acquire that for no reason. Focusing his eyes and muscles he let he chakra flow through him. Feeling them strengthen and adrenaline flow, he began to harness it and await her next move.

Kaori walked into the academy and looked around, she noticed her brother off to the side and smirked slightly when she saw that he was playing with what looked gold and silver sands. She shook her head, just what they needed, precious metals that could be used to slaughter anyone stupid enough to challenge Suna. She chuckled as Nova tried to sneak up on Iwao silently. She looked around and noticed all the shinobi working on various jutsu and it looked like two of her Chunnin were about to spar. She sat back against a wall and just decided to watch. She was getting bored, and was starting to wonder if anyone besides her brother would be willing to spar her. She needed a decent workout.

As Iwao continued to practice with his new sand, still getting used to his new way of manipulating the magnetic fields, when he caught a familiar scent coming from behind him. Focusing on where the scent was, Iwao thought of his iron sand and felt the fields change as it rushed to wrap around Nova’s paws. Turning around, the giant bear tamer chuckled, “Oh, hey Nova.. trying to sneak up on me are you?” He’d then spot his sister across the room sitting against the wall. “Hey Kay-chan!” he called over, waving quickly. He then decided to go catch up with his sister since she was out of the office for a bit. With a rising hand gesture, Iwao would lift the sand around nova’s paws, and the tiger along with it as he floated into the air himself, taking the big cat with him as he drifted over to Kaori, essentially flying on the planet’s magnetic field. When he got to where Kaori was, he let Nova down, releasing the big tiger from his sand, and folded his legs in, appearing to be sitting on thin air as he looked down at his older sister, “So what’s up, sis?”

Kaori laughed and shook her head slightly as she watched her brother capture her partner, and then fly over to her, literally. She raised a single delicate eyebrow and looked up at him, "You certainly have some new skills, don't you?" She looked at Nova and smirked slightly, only to have Nova huff and curl up on the ground as if it were her idea in the first place to be right there. Kaori shook her head and reached up to tug a flower from her hair, She needed to get some more training in really, her brother was getting to be more impressive than she was, and since she was the Kage, and older, that just wouldn't do. She stood back up and tilted her head with a fanged smirk, "But so do I."

Iwao laughed at Nova as she huffed and curled up on the floor. When Kaori mentioned his new skills, Iwao chuckled again, “Yea….I guess….I found a hidden section in my Kekkei Genkai scroll, a whole new list of even more powerful jutsu….and the key to unlocking them apparently gave me some fun new tricks too.” He raised his big, clawed hand and Kaori would see iron sand rise with it, flicking his wrist, the sand started swirling around and changing shapes. “I don’t need handsigns to control my sand anymore, “ he’d put his hand back down in his lap and the sand would continue changing its shape rapidly, “I don’t even have to move anymore to move the sand.” When Kaori smirked at him, claiming she had some new tricks too, Iwao returned a fanged smirk of his own, “Oh, do you sis? Let’s see what you got..”

Kaori looked over at Nova and nodded to her partner. The tiger got up and moved over to Kaori so the Kazekage could put her hand on her shoulder and side, while against Nova's warm fur, Kaori made the hand signs and focused her charka at the same time Nova focused her chakra. Unlike when they were training this jutsu, it took no time at all for them to fully merge and stand at an easy six or more feet high, and all sleek muscle. She looked at Iwao and grinned, "How's this for a trick up our sleeve, Iwao?"

Watching as Kaori called Nova over and began performing some handsigns, Iwao studied them as closely as he could. Raising his eyebrows a bit as his sister and her partner merged into one large, but sleek and muscular creature, the giant bear tamer nodded slowly, “Not bad, sis, nova….how ‘bout teaching me and Grym that one? Imagine the devastation we could cause our enemies together if I merged like that with Grym too. Between my new mastery of my bloodline, that technique, and your flowers and emotion manipulating jutsu, we, and all of Suna, would be unstoppable.” If Kaori was paying attention, she might notice a slight glint of bloodthirst in Iwao’s eye. He may be generally laid back and a joker, but when it came time for battle, he had little sense of mercy, if any at all.

They noticed the bloodthirst in Iwao's eyes, and matched it with bloodthirst of their own, "You saw my hand signs, right? You and Grym will need to focus your chakras perfectly, and sync them up. Once you do that, you will need to focus on the physical as well. Everything has to be in sync, brother."

Letting out a quick evil laugh, Iwao turned and called for Grym. When the massive bear wandered over to them, he stared wide-eyed at the merged Nova and Kaori. Iwao just chuckled, “Yea, pretty crazy, ain’t it bud, let see if we can match it.” The big bear grunted, nodding and started focusing his charka. Iwao placed his hands on the bear’s side, slowly performing the handsigns he’d seen as he tried to match his charka and breathing rhythm, to Grym’s. However, something wasn’t quite right, and the merge attempt failed. Iwao and Grym both let out an annoyed grunt.
Leaving his hands on Grym’s side, Iwao closed his eyes, feeling the bear’s sides move as he breathed, feeling the beat of his heart from the pulse. The two began concentrating their charkas a second time, this time much more in sync. As the tamer started forming the handsigns again, he felt their chakras sync up almost perfectly as they continued to match the rhythms of their bodies. When the handsigns were done, the two felt something pulling them together, as Grym stood on his hind legs Iwao combined into him. What now stood in the academy was something kids might see in their worst nightmares, 15ft tall, weighing in at well over a ton, the combined Bear and tamer stood with their new massively muscular body. Iwao tried to move and felt his speed had increased a great deal as well as his agility and reflexes. He lumbered over to a dummy and with a quick swipe of his claws, ripped its head clean off. Turning back towards Kaori, he smiled showing off a mouth full of large fangs. “This is gonna be a fun trick to use if we’re ever attacked.” He then let the merge end, separating back into their individual bodies. “Thanks for the jutsu, Kay-chan, that was awesome!”

They smirked and nodded to Grym and Iwao, then let their own merge end. Kaori and Nova both shook themselves out before the woman looked at her brother,"That was the idea, Iwa. But we need to keep in mind that this jutsu doesn't last forever, but we should be able to just recast the jutsu and extend it." The Kazekage warned her brother as her ears twitched and her tail thrashed back and forth at the thought of killing anyone stupid enough to dare attack her village and people.

Kimmiko smiled as she herself got into a stance. She began by drawing the forward foot in so that it is very close to the backward foot and raising its heel from the ground, focusing weight on the back foot. With her back straight she was able to go into any movement in just about any taijutsu styles she learned. Once taking this stance she brought up her leg very quickly launching herself, like a cat would to pounce on something, upwards using her leg to swing three times in fast succession to his throat chest and stomach. She needed to get in close and quick with this boy. The spears were an extension of him but if she ever got in real close those spears would be more of a hindrance. While striking with her leg she was readying a ball of lightning in her left hand the one that was furthest away from the line of sight. If he managed to grab her at all she would have a nasty surprise waiting for him.
Listening to his sister’s warning, Iwao nodded, before laughing a bit, “Yea, of course it can’t last forever, sis, but with the physical power boost we get in that form, along with our usual jutsu…do we really need it to last that long?” The huge man was thinking of how that powerful form would combine with his sand jutsu… and just how insanely devastating it would all be. He almost felt bad for whoever decided to attack their village….almost, being the key word. Sliding down the wall to sit for a while, Iwao looked at his sister again, “So, the students you sent me earlier are off to a pretty good start….any other cubs soon to be coming my way that I should know about?”

Kaori nodded and smirked at her brother,"Oh, I know, but it's better to be cautious sometimes. And you will officially be assigned a genin with your bloodline, her name is Sashia, but she prefers to be called Sai."

Haruka Hyuuga "Time to start the puppet show!" | Genin | Sunagakure | The One Girl Show | 350/350 | Hyuuga | Puppeteer | Brawler | Suiton | Doton | Haruka thought for a few minutes as she pulled the clan jutsu scroll from her pouch. She sat down and nodded slowly reading over the taijutsu style. It was an interesting mix of chakra usage and taijutsu. She stood up, looking at Grym with a grin before turning to a dummy. [1/13]
First up was learning the basics. She looked and reread over the scroll to make sure that she was doing it right before she crouched low, her left side facing the dummy. She spread her legs apart in a wide stance, arms outstretched, right hand up, palm up, left hand down, palm facing outward from her body, her torso slightly twisted to face the dummy. [2/13]
She leaped forward, thrusting her palms repeatedly at and against the dummy's wooden structure. It did nothing that powerful to the dummy, yet at the same time, if she were to be applying chakra to her hands, it would probably be tearing it apart, splinter by splinter. She moved like the wind, striking a bit, dodging invisible strikes and twirling out of the way of other 'attempts' to hit her before continuing her assault [3/13]
Taking a break, Haruka sat down at the scroll and reading further into the Taijutsu. It didn't specify how hard she should hit so she assumed so long as she made contact she would close off a tenketsu. The next topic was on these chakra points, how they controlled the chakra system and why. [4/13]
She slowly read on about how these tenketsu were located at the pressure points on the body as well as other vital spots that she as a Hyuuga could exert it to. She grinned a bit as she resumed reading, distracting herself with reading other techniques that would go well with the taijutsu. [5/13]
All of them, with the exception of the defensive techniques seemed to be aimed at making full use of the Gentle Fist Taijutsu. She stretched and leaned back, looking around to see what was going on around her. Iwao was talking to the Kazekage, two Chuunin were fighting and she couldn't really see the Hatake boy. She shrugged and sat back up. [6/13]
She walked around the room to loosen up a bit getting the feeling back in her legs to tell herself breaktime was over. She had sat too long and the motivation to learn was wearing off. Soon though, the motivation was back and she was back at the dummy ready to destroy it. [7/13]
The dummy was standing there, vicious as ever as Haruka's imagination let loose. She dodged an attack and swept in, applying chakra to her hands before striking the dummy with her palms, a gentle attack that did nothing to the wooden man before her. It laughed in her face, taunting her weakness. [8/13]
She growled at it in frustration, striking the dummy harder. The wooden figure rocked back but was otherwise unharmed. She applied more chakra to her hands and double palmed it to the chest. The dummy practically exploded, making her jump in fear. Too much chakra equaled bad. [9/13]
She lessened the chakra flow to her hands and moved to another dummy This one was taunting her more than the last, and was better too. He struck at her, narrowly missing her as she ducked and spun, striking him in the chest. Cracks formed as she hit, but it didn't splinter. [10/13]
Not enough yet! Haruka added slightly more, mentally taking note of it befoe she leaped in, striking and breaking off pieces as the chakra was injected and chunked off pieces of dummy for her. How hard she hit didn't matter, so long as she made contact. She finished with this dummy before laying back down and panting. It was rough learning this technique. [11/13]
"Maaaan this is tough, huh Grym?" She asked the bear who had been supervising her the whole time. She flopped back down to her butt and laid back to look up at the large bear. He towered over her, casting a shadow onto her. [12/13]
"You know what? It's hot, I'm going to go find a cooler place than this, maybe I'll get lucky and stumble across something to unbore me." She said, sitting up. She sighed, laying back down and rolling over onto a cold part of the floor. "Ahh, much better!" [13/13 Art of the Gentle Fist learned!]

Not only can it take any form the user desires, but it can also be levitated or shifted around as if it were wind. It should be noted that one can only manipulate sand they themselves have made, and it must be done while holding a single handsign. Additionally, sand that is freely manipulated is not very solid, and can be dispersed as if it were natural sand making it a poor choice for attacking with.
