Another couple minutes had passed before Ryan stood up once more.
He was angry. Still staring at the cliff, or rather, glaring at it. Sizing it up before ******** THIS!" He practically screeched. Running a short distance before he quickly leaped up at it like something possessed. It only got him so far though and had him clinging to the cliff side like a ******** koala, inching his way up.

After a lot of climbing and a considerable amount of curses later, Ryan finally reached the top. Clawing the ground with his fingers to get a good enough grip to haul himself over the ledge, where he then sprawled on the ground. Just like he had before.
"I hate training..." He wheezed out. Still fuming.

Syd stared at the bottle. Examined it. And pressed it to her face, because getting it open was more than she wanted to deal with at the moment. At least it was cold!
Then she stared at the rope, sighing inwardly before tucking the bottle down her shirt and into her bra (modesty? What's that?) and grabbed onto the rope. She was going to do this. Yeah.
Unfortunately her hands were too wet from the bottle to do much good. She grunted and wiped them off on her pants.

Once her hands were dry, Syd started climbing in earnest. With the bottle still held between her small boobs.
She was going to have to keep this thing and put it back in the fridge before her next workout, she decided.

She hauled herself up to the top of the wall, perching there for a moment and looking out over the world for a long moment. It felt good up there, she thought happily. The wind blew, cooling her off, and she liked the view--what view there was. Yes, and the bottle of ramune in her bra was seriously starting to cool her off.
Allan-Taichou was a good guy, she decided. Possibly insane, and there was no way she'd survive as a Sun, but he knew some really nice places on the island.
Izy said.
Weren't the clouds just lovely today?

Reluctantly, after a few minutes of just sitting there enjoying the breeze, Syd grabbed the rope and slid down, using her scarf to protect her hands from rope burn.
There she dropped on the ground and pulled out the bottle from her shirt to look at it curiously. "It's got a face," she said blandly--
Nope, not gonna think about it. Definitely not gonna think about it.

Allan was so proud of these trainees, just so proud: they seemed to be getting stronger candidates every round. Why, he did not even have to throw anyone this time!
He continued to shower the trainees with positive words such as "Remember that you too can be number one!" or "That's the spirit trainee-tachi, continue to use your powers for good!" the entire walk back to his dorm room again. Yes, walk back, because apparently while the Sun Division lead had no problem creating a portal from his room to the front of the Deus Facility main gates, clearly creating a portal from the Deus Facility main gates to his dorm room required more effort. That, and he enjoyed the bonding time, and thought it built character.
At this point, most of the trainees were most likely cursing the sun for relentlessly beating down on them in what had to be fourty-five-degree (Degree Celsius) weather. Who the heck thought it was such a great idea to beat those phoenixes and get rid of the moderate weather?
The door to Allan's room was still open, and oddly, looked cleaner than it had before. Someone might have even taken the time to spray Pine Sol over the counter-tops, making them not only shine and sparkle but smell like fresh pines too.
"All right then, are you ready for this last, very important task, trainee-tachi?" Allan had finally stopped talking about his entire Yu-gi-oh trading card collection, gen 5, and stooped over to pick up the entire DDR machine and realign it vertically with the ground, so it was actually usable. Another moment was spent plugging it in, where it subsequently whirred to life and began to sparkle, shine and blare extremely loud music that continuously screamed "ARE YOU READY?"
A small flashing interface in the center of the screen prompted them to "INSERT COINS".
After fishing for a few quarters, the Sun lead managed to get the strange behemoth of a glowing, blinking, eye-seizure machine up and working. A small tutorial started to play in the form of a 3D cartoon-proportioned girl wearing a tennis skirt and tank top waving at the screen.
"Hello and welcome to DDR! My name is Miko-chan and I will be walking you through the DDR tutorial!" Her little pixelated excuse of a leg moved to one side, pressing a pixelated left arrow directional pad underneath her foot just as a left arrow slid up the top of the screen. There was a flash of really unnecessary pixelated pink lace panties. "When the arrow presses to the left, you put your foot on the left directional pad! Let's do this together!" It repeated the action. "Okay! Now lets do this with the right one! And again!" Cue extremely enthusiastic electronically recorded clapping. "And now, let's DDR!"
Allan seemed more than excited as he ushered for the trainees to get onto the pad. "Okay, don't push or anything, everyone gets a turn." He managed a somewhat complex sequence pressing a variety of buttons, most likely just randomly, until it selected a song. Hard mode difficulty.
Bright glowing arrows went flying all directions of the screen.LAST EXERCISE: DDR HARD MODE - There are arrows flying EVERYWHERE. There are even, like, three arrows flying at once. Three arrows, what are you supposed to do use your hands?!- You should probably, for the sake of trying, attempt to pretend you are good at DDR. It's almost over. IT really is. You can do it. - Roll 20 4-sided dice. This is the direction the arrows are telling you to move on the screen. 1 = left. 2 = right. 3 = up. 4 = down. - in your second post, roll 20 4=sided dice again. In ORDER (from first roll of first post matched to first roll of second post), match up how many dice rolls you got that matched from first post to second post. This is the amount of arrows you actually hit. Post your FINAL RESULT tally below!

Ami really regretted not drinking that Ramune or at least asking for water at this point. The walk back to the dorm was excruciating to say the least. At least the area around Allan's room had air conditioning. AC was a gift from the heavens.
Listening to Allan talk about his nerdy card game was boring as hell, but if it meant AC? She was totally for it.
By the time Allan got the machine up and running, Ami was thoroughly impressed. One, he lifted a DDR machine. That could NOT be a light instrument. Two, he got the entire thing hooked up in about five seconds flat. Ami, who hated even using Powerpoint, was pretty damn impressed.
Then again, he WAS a division leader. It'd be odd if he wasn't at least a bit impressive. It was probably just all the talk of children's card games that had numbed her from being impressed.
Either way, she had to dance.
This could get ugly.

Ami watched Rin score a little less than half the points possible. Ami had insisted on not going first because she didn't want to embarrass herself, but going second? Definitely even more terrifying. She had to watch the arrows fly across the screen, knowing that she'd never be able to hit all of them. She was lucky if she hit even one of them.
Her palms were a bit sweaty as she stepped up on the arrow pad. Would she fail? Would she not even be able to hit a single one? Ami saw Rin's- she saw how there were three arrows at once sometimes. What would she do then?
She decided to just do her best and hope for better. By the end of the obnoxious anthem of hell, Ami had only managed to hit about 1/4 of the notes. She didn't even try with the 3 arrow ones. It was ... well it was a good effort.

Syd was keeping her ramune bottle. It was her preciousssss. Even if it did have a face, which was sort of creepy--especially when you'd shoved it down your shirt. But it was HERS. Even with the AC on, it was HERS. So she shoved it into one of the pockets of her pants and stepped up to the plate, staring blankly at the screen for a moment.
Don't remind me.

She had no freakin idea what she was doing, Syd admitted to herself. But she pasted on her "I am a MIST, v.serious" face and tried to look like she did. She really... seriously... sucked at this game, she thought as it finished. But she'd done it.
Dear God, please tell her it was almost over so she could cuddle with her ramune bottle and get something to drink... Total: 5

Hello video games. Ofelia has no idea who you are or what you are, or why people would be interested in you, but if her boss says get on and jump around she would get on and jump around.
It probably was a horrible thing that Ofelia was easily distracted by music and bright flashing colors, the whole bit about her having to follow arrows a tragedy when she was too busy watching the scene on the screen rather than the steps she was supposed to be taking.
At least after a few minutes she finally sobered(?) up and went on her way.
. . . her way to failure, that is.

When everything was over Ofelia figured she did really kind of bad, not to mention she may or may not have twisted her ankle somehow. Of course her blood was still pumping, it had been fun, so perhaps she'd get to ask Allan later if she could do it again?
. . . maybe. For now though she limped off the mat and sat down on the ground, her hands around her left ankle as she pressed on it. Stupid body.
