Exploring the Passageway!
It wasn't hard to figure out what all of the other students had been following, as Ashly's gaze dropped to the floor as well, eyeing the red dot splatter and sniffing at them curiously. They smelt...off. Almost like blood but not quite? It was strange, anyways. Still, like everyone else, she was curious, so she followed the trail, only to find herself in the restricted area of the library, watching as some of her fellow classmates went into a passageway into the wall.
Ashly was not the type of ghoul to stay behind and watch while her friends committed themselves to all of the action, so she quickly followed along, her loud, raspy coughs reverberating through the passageway as she wandered along, one hand pressed up against a wall to guide her since it was just so jack damned dark.
It seemed like she had only gone a little ways when she very abruptly came to a dead end, her hand tracing over the surface of the wall. Hrm. Maybe she should have actually waited for Rengath and Alice. Either one of them could have easily lit the way for her.

"Hey, Avery? I think if you had let me teach you to dance all these years, we would not be in this situation," Victory suggested in the dark, hoping Avery was somehow still with them. He couldn't see a thing. If only he was some kind of glowing creature, or he had his parents' ability to conjure tiny Will 'O Wisp-like balls of light. No such luck.
On the bright side, he was naturally fleet of foot, so it wasn't as though he was stumbling. He kept his wings folded neatly against his back, in the hopes that he wouldn't brush them against anything equally disgusting. Some of his feathers were still matted together with slime. Despite that, he kept focused on exploring, trying to move ahead a little quicker. The faster they could get to some kind of warmth and light, the happier Victory would be. All this silence, damp and darkness was not his forte; Victory was a creature of revelry, celebration, company.
Wandering in such darkness was a little too much like being alone for Victory's tastes.

Vel kept her hands out, trying to feel around for open spaces in the dark, as well as where the walls were for that matter. It seemed to be working out for her pretty well. This time around at least.

No matter where Victory was, even if he'd somehow gotten separated from his friends, he was unmistakable: his bracelets and bells chimed no matter where he was, and his wings still rustled faintly.
"Ava, Avery, guys-- I miss the sun already," Victory pined, trying to be melodramatic in the hopes of distracting at least himself. It was true, of course, he did miss the light, but it was more to do with the fact that the boil seemed incapable of keeping his mouth shut. He had so many bells on him for a reason: he couldn't stomach the silence, it was too unlike his nature. So he'd just keep talking into the darkness, hoping his friends could hear them, hoping they were near.
At the end, they reached a dead end, and Victory was finally able to find Ava. But... whose hand had he been holding. Uh, woops. Well, maybe they just wouldn't notice?...
"I guess we're stuck here, for now? Unless someone has a drill for a hand," Victory lamented, looking at his own demon-tough claws. Not much good against this much stone, probably. He sniffed and wrinkled his nose in distaste. "It smells like salty water," Victory complained, wishing he had even a shred of decent clothing left on him to cover his nose.

And so Vel kept up with that. She soon noticed that there were walls all around. Frowning, she tried to feel around some more, and instead just ended up getting her hands all over someone else's face.

"FORWARD, SISTERS!" He gave Arcana's hand a tug, and then ran off, charging down the passageway, determined to be a guiding light.
Sadly, by the time he stopped running - due to literally running into a dead end - he realized too late that he had accidentally let the ghoul go... So he just laid there and made a really, really sad face.

"Hey man, I'm not a sister." d**k said firmly, tapping on the wall a few more times as he used the sound to somewhat navigate in the dark. It was kinda useful too, he admitted, as it probably wouldn't have made a lick of difference if he'd left his sunglasses on or not in this darkness.

He just slowly continued paving forward until he found yet another wall that seemed to lead to nowhere, rapping his knuckles on it a few times before pressing an ear to it. Hmmmmm.....
Could he break this wall? He gave it a testing punch.
A lot of swearing and nursing his hand came afterwards.

Ashly shuffled along the back wall of the dead end, so that her hand was no on the opposite wall of the one she had come in on. Perhaps if she followed this particular wall, she might find a way out of here. Or, at the very least, she might end up back in the library so she could find somebody with light as a natural ability and follow them in.
And her coughs echoed on through the passageway.

A chiming in his pocket made Kato pull out his skellephone, and stare down at it. Once neutral face turned into a EPIC pout and glare at the small object. kuromeez How is it MY fault? You got stuck not me! Have fun getting out! Frustrated he sent the text and closed his phone. Childish? Totally.

She did indeed find herself turning down what appeared to be another side passage. She could hear sounds in the distance. Students talking, students shouting, the chimes of skellyphones...
Well, it was at least comforting that she was not down here all alone, and by the sounds of it, she was not the only one who was lost.
Silently now, her coughing attacks seeming to have eased up for the moment, she shuffled along, still with her hand pressed against the wall.
And came to yet another dead end.

Exploring!
Being just a LITTLE touched in the head, apparently, clouded her judgement. See there was a wall right in front of her... but a little to the left was another pathway she had apparently turned a blind eye to. Shaking her head... she continued further down the pathway and this time ran in to the group of people at the end. Oh, WELL then. Pyre took the flame and extinguished it for now. What better way to get used to a creepy tunnel then letting your eyes adjust?
