Hana turned to watch the other woman move away over to an empty stretch of wall. She appreciated the combative responses this younger soul seemed to have. But felt both Commanders had a great deal to learn about their overall presence. Neither struck her as captivating, riveting individuals she would happily follow into battle. It bothered her that either were considered worthy of their positions. Shaking her head, she looked to the woman and spoke.
"And Commander Kimura, you said, word for word, that Commander Hiroshi's plan is 'almost as inhuman as some of the Twelfth Division's experiments.' I hear no mention of the Institute's historical background, merely the unequivocal statement that my Squad conducts inhuman procedures. If you're going to imply as much, stick to what you say, and don't let an eight-year-old cow you on her first day as a Captain.
"As the commanding officers of the military, we have the duty of being constantly mindful of the status of our homeland and the lands under our protection. Even as Head Researcher of the Gijutsukaihatsu Kyoku, I am still obligated to consider the safety and well-being of the common scum in the slums outside our walls, or the ignorant humans in the Living World. So, yes, your forces may be excellently well-suited to conduct the pincer, but that does not mean I am not qualified or obligated to render my assistance in any way plausible."
Hana glanced around at the officers gathered and shrugged, "If you still insist on using people to enforce a barrier, that's fine. My first instinct would be cut that space off from its surroundings, but I digress."
At that point, Raiku decided to speak too. He mentioned a sum of hollows under his control solely with the task of brewing alcohol for him, which caused her to turn and stare open-mouthed at him. He'd just gotten done harassing her for cruelty and immorality a few hours ago, and now he was revealing this little nugget of gold. Damn hypocrite. What else did he have hidden up his sleeve?«[Exits to]

Upon hearing the captain's mention of hollows, Aya immediately looked up at him. "W-What are you talking about?" she asked, her eyes wide in horror. Hollows were supposed to be their enemy, weren't they? So why? Why did Raiku have over 100 of them?

Squad 10 Captain  Raiku noticed Hana and Aya's reactions to what he had just said. He wasn't surprised at this, he fully expected that this was going to be the general reaction. He then realized that he hadn't really explained the situation very well. Raiku sighed briefly to regain his composure. "Aya, don't freak out so much, its not nearly as bad as it sounds. Yes, I am keeping hollows prisoner and using them to create sake. But its mainly to play around with the option of not exterminating them. Currently, I am seeing what happens if we give them the option to surrender. All of the hollows are more or less prisoners of war. However I am using them to make sake as a sort of work release so that they retain some level of pride. I would have informed the rest of you earlier but I knew this would be your reaction. You would immediately react in fear and attempt to kill all of them." Raiku sighed again. He felt bad about revealing all of what he had done, but not that he did them. In fact he felt like he was betraying the hollows. He had begun to consider them as family members. He didn't fear or hate hollows at all, he actually cared deeply about their well being. He considered them as worthy of protecting as the Shinigami were. "These hollows have not just survived in this new enviroment, but they have thrived. They are more or less domesticated by this point. They are more like fellow Squadmates to me by this point. I have had them for around 5 years now and they have improved massively. They can be trusted, I assure you. I only did this out of a desire to not commit genocide against a species that are as much my brothers as my fellow Shinigami. My only sin in this is my refusal to commit genocide against members of my own species without cause." Raiku then finished. He wasnt sure what the reactions would be, though he guessed that they would be mixed.

Shadow stood there, takeing in what everyone was saying." It would seem im being ignored. I suggested a backup plan in case of the worst if your plan goes wrong, commander. I suggested this as a safety precaution." He then turned to Raiku as he told them about his hollows "You have a lot of pride and caring for hollow kind, dont you captain Sato. I guess that means your bonds with your partner is stronger then anyone else's ever recorded in history. Its a pity we are not close friends in that regard." He then turned back to captain Hana "Captain, in your free time i would like your help with something, for you are the only person I can think of that can do any good with a 'project' im working on.....If you would be so kind." He then waited for a response to the events

Despite Raiku's words, Aya swallowed nervously. What Yuki said was true. Could they really trust hollows? After all, they and the Soul Society had been enemies for years. So how could they possibly think of working together?

Lieutenant of Squad 13  Nacht quitely listened to the plan the new head captain had come up with. He thought it was a good plan but some other people were putting in good input as well. He could see that there were still some people who did not trust the new head captain, but he felt that he could trust him. While he was thinking about that is when he heard what Raiku said about the hollows. It did surprise him at first but he didn't show an aversion to it.

He had been keeping tabs on every other Captain, just in case one decided to go rogue in the long haul. "It is not sin to want peace, Captain Raiku. However, sin are the Taizai, who refuse it. If your Hollows can follow your orders and ours as well, things should work out wonderfully. But, I only see one issue. You have bonded with these Hollows, but we have not. As far as I can tell, the consensus is that the other Captains will not trust the Hollows until they have had time to meet them for themselves." "Just because you can defeat your

Squad 10 Captain Raiku looked at Miyuki and sighed as she said what she said. He was a little disappointed that she didnt see things the way he did. "Can't be helped." Raiku the began to respond. "Yes Yuki I trust them. I know that they have done horrible things, Im not gonna butter things up. They have killed our families and friends, that goes without saying. But we have done the same to them. As I've been around them, I've learned that their bonds as packmates are as strong as our own familial bonds. Therefore, we've killed their families as well. Yuki, did you ever even consider looking past their sins, and see our own sides sins in this war. In every war neither side is completely good or completely evil. Every side has their own sins. Its a frequently forgotten fact of war." Raiku then sighed and looked around the room briefly.
After awhile he heard Shingo speak to him. He then smiled nervously at the whole order thing. "Um, they're not that great at taking specific orders Im sorry to say. They get all pissy when they're told what to do. I've learned that just telling them what the vague objective is is the best course. They hate being bossed around. Heck I've tried to tell them to stop their own recreational activity, but they refuse. Those assholes keep ruining their brains." Raiku then stopped speaking to the Squad 2 captain and was more thinking outloud. "Those idiots"

"The object of war is not to die for your country..."------- At this point in the meeting Takeo's face was one of a man who was tired and needed to be somewhere else, he actually did need to be somewhere else. Welcoming the new recruits was now his job in his captain's absence. And hearing this whole situation with hollows brewing sake for a captain, an action like this would most likely result in a court marshal, as he had put people in danger. However Takeo didn't think much of it as at the moment they were going to war; they needed men, especially captains. Takeo stood from his kneeling position and walked toward the door, he stopped at the door and turned to the crowd and with an annoyed look, he waited for the meeting to be dismissed. He honestly didn't see the point in changing the plan, every soldier should be prepared to die when they enlist in a militant force. To show hesitation for the lives of those around you is a good characteristic, however the soul society was made to protect and not to seek survival. Staying alive was just a bonus, and every soldier was expendable on their own accord, a soldier without a resolve of faith in their cause is just a person who will fight but when s*** gets real they won't think twice before bailing. Now that the plan had been sorted out for the majority, Takeo knew what he had to do; he was just waiting for the order to move out and prepare. -------"...but to make the other b*****d die for his." "I Only Offer Peace Once." Hiddan, who had just challanged and killed former squad Seven captain Viki Foi. Walked into the meeting room. He was late, and he did not really care. He strode in and took his rightful place, standing. He had just finished up his little skirmish with Viki and it took him almost no time to kill her. Hiddan was smiling under his scarf, he had some real plans for Squad Seven. And Viki was holding that squad back.

Rin however was seated on the floor seeming to ignore the meeting completely. He was only eavesdropping enough to pick up on a few main points, though he didn't see how any of it was his problem. He was in a time where he knew no one. Why bother learning about people, why get to know them? Why care???? What's the point of caring for someone if they only die and leave you behind to suffer the loss?

On the floor he sat playing with a thick rubber band, twisting and stretching it like a toy. It was something to keep occupied while the captains and vice captains continued their boring meeting.
~~FWEEEEEW~~ Rin slipped up accidentally shooting the rubber band in the air hitting the head of the new captain of squad seven who'd just entered in. "Oops..." he uttered softly, though to be honest he could care less about his mishap. It was actually a mistake but now that whats done is done he wondered what kind of reaction would be drawn from it and what kind of mischief he could make out of it. ANYTHING could be more entertaining than how this meeting was now.

"I Only Offer Peace Once." Hiddan seen the rubber band coming and simply caught it between his two fingers. He didn't even look to the little kid or to the other shinigami. This was boreing to him where he could be out taking the fight to the enemy, not sit here and share the moment of people twiddling their thumbs. He sighed as he then pocketed the rubber band. If this person wanted to act like a child, he would be treated like one. Instead, Hiddan pulled out the rubber band, And snapped it in two. As he then let it fall to the floor.
