LOOK-OUTThat had been…way too satisfying. Hel watched with a grin as the gnome hit the wall and then slid down. Did she feel the least bit remorseful about that? …Nah. Now she was faced with another dilemma. While he appeared to be out cold…who was to say when he might come around again and come busting down the hall. She looked back at where she had come from. Seemed they were still busy…or she hoped they were. She looked back at the gnome. Huh. What would Shun do right now? He was pretty definitive about this stuff… Hel imagined the reaper in all his one eyed, stoic face glory. Wait for marriage, Hel.The reaper frowned. Wrong channeling. Take no chances.Oh, that seemed better, and it made sense. The ghoul raised her foot again and stomped on the gnome…though it wasn’t a very good one. "Um, maybe there's a way to lift it, just enough for someone to check under the rug...? That way, we won't make as much noise," She nodded, whipping around to look at the door when Taryn entered to tell them something; she hoped that it wasn't bad news... She couldn't hear her very well from the desk, but it looked like Hel and Taryn had the situation outside under control.
When her phone buzzed, she looked startled before looking at the text; apparently Demi and Shun were in Nurse Cricket's office now... Good, at least they'll be well taken care of... She gave Mitsu a smile and thumbs-up, mouthing the words 'Shun' and then 'Demi'; she didn't want the werewolf to worry too much... They have a task to complete!

Thackery had, in fact, been delighted at the ball. His ears drooped a bit when he watched her put it back - but he wasn't done with that yet! He carefully reached to take the ball again, cradling it like a baby minipet.
This was the best ball.
He loved this ball.

Inu-Mitsu Gripping the bottom left drawer handle with one hand Mitsu tried to pry her fingers in around it before tugging on the drawer as hard as she could using her natural strength to hopefully pop it open. The handle shifts in Mitsu's grasp. It twists, turns, and when she violently jerks it back it opens! Huh, looks like the drawer wasn't locked at all -- it just required the handle to be twisted to open it. Like a filing cabinet. And like a filing cabinet, it seemed that this drawer was full of files. Miliardo Kason She glanced about looking for a long pole like object or ruler to try and pull open the Right side middle drawer. Tucked into the corner behind Red's door was a decorative pole-arm shoved into a bin along with a few umbrellas. But it was far too large to use. Otherwise Sammy sees nothing of use on Red's desk aside from piles and piles of papers. demon_pachabel ...skimming to see who this guest speaker turned teacher was. If there was a name, it wasn't written down. At least, it wasn't written down in a way that Shehk could read. demon_pachabel ...hold onto this journal... Shehk acquired: Red's Journal: Rising Crescent. The gnome groaned, but it wasn't moving. Nothing Yet ...take the ball again... Ballballball! Thackery now had a glitterylightglowybouncyball that currently wasn't bouncing in addition to the unreadable book he picked up earlier.

The reassurance from Lizzy made her feel better though Mitsu still felt rather distracted. Distracted enough that when she finally figured out how to open the drawer there was no excitement in it. Somehow Mitsu felt stupid for having not figured out the drawer before uttering a soft " Oh..." as it popped open after a twist of the handle. Shifting her gaze to Sammy for a moment Mitsu began to look through the files to see what she might find." Well, I got the drawer open," Mitsu said softly looking over toward Sammy to see how she was fairing. Seemed the ghoul hadn't come up with a safe way to open the other drawer yet. " Can you fit the corner of a folder or book in the handle to open the drawer that way? Otherwise I can open it. Maybe the trap has already sprung."

Shehk looked at the handwriting in some confusion for a moment, before she paused, looking out at the bars across the window. She squinted her eyes towards it for a moment, before she walked over to what moon phase it was outside with a very suspicious look.

LOOK-OUTOkay…so he wasn’t moving…that was good…but still. Hel could not, in good conscience, leave the gnome there to possibly wake up while the others were still busy going through Red’s office. Looks like it was a no brainer. The valkyrie lifted a foot and stomped on the gnome again, hoping to make him dissipate soon. Quote: HP: 50/50 DMG: 6 Target: Gnome on floor

As the rest of them fiddled with the desk drawers, she begun removing the drawers that could be removed, as well as the items that were on the desk, placing them beside the desk. Then, having removed all the access weight, she pushed against the desk, hoping to move it - even if it was just enough to take a better look under that rug.
It was worth a try, and students were welcomed to help. She probably needed it.

Mrrrr. So the feather could handle some pressure, but that had been close; the edges were very dull. "Think could be sprung multiple times," Mort commented, eyeing the drawers apprehensively. A springing mechanism could auto set itself when the drawer closed.
Espying that Lizzy was moving the furniture around, the zomboil winced a bit and moved over to help. The legs might make a sound scraping against the stone floor, so he moved to the other side of the desk, established a firm grip under the lip, and helped Lizzy move it forward off the rug, attempting to lift it as he did so.

Inu-Mitsu ...began to look through the files to see what she might find. There were a lot of files. There were even a bunch of names written on the tabs of folders: Jaylen Howl, Victor S. Sampson, Samantha Lee, Terran Stronghoof, Captain Wilson B. Bravery, The Headless Knight, The Silver Serpent -- those were just a few of the immediate ones that caught Mitsu's eye. demon_pachabel ...what moon phase it was outside... The moon was half full, half in shadow: first quarter. Poof! The gnome dissipated beneath the stomp. Dragain ...having removed all the access weight, she pushed against the desk, hoping to move it - even if it was just enough to take a better look under that rug. Lizzy attempted to remove the drawers. They would not come out all the way. She tackled the top of the desk. There was a sort of organized chaos to the top of Red's desk, one she disturbed while clearing it off. First the papers were gathered and shuffled into a large stack, mixing up the order of various legal documents into one incomprehensible mess. These were moved off to one side. Ouch! While stacking the papers, Red's pen snake managed to chomp Lizzy's hand. Her hand stung, but the demoness pressed on. The serpent slid into the safety of an opened drawer, disappearing within the stone desk. Next after the papers came the books. These were easy to move off to one side and away. Then the clutter. The bottle was carefully set off to one side, however when Lizzy moved the vase the remaining wilted flowers clinging to the stem were jarred loose and fluttered to the ground. The vase was empty, the water having evaporated long ago. Eventually the top of the desk was cleared. Lizzy pushed against the desk. It did not move. Ol-j-man The legs might make a sound scraping against the stone floor, so he moved to the other side of the desk, established a firm grip under the lip, and helped Lizzy move it forward off the rug, attempting to lift it as he did so. The legs, in fact, did not make a scraping sound against the floor on the account of the rug that separated the stone desk from the stone floor. The desk still refused to move.

Unfortunately the hunch she had was going to have to wait. With that in mind, however, Shehk took a moment to look over the room again to figure out what still needed to be looked at - or rather, needed a second look at it. The desk wasn't moving, it seemed, Mitsu was going through some files, Sammy was trying to open a drawer, some people were still snooping the hidden room.
She had checked with her eyes, but Red was a wolf as she was - she had another sense she should have been looking with as well. Shehk closed her eyes and took a deep breath to see if anything smelt particularly interesting.

Looking through the folders Mitsu spotted the names at the top. She wasn't certain who these people were but settled on plucking out the file that said Captain Wilson B. Bravery on the tab and opened it up to see what information it had to offer. She had barely paid any mind to Lizzy and Mort trying to clear the desk but when it seemed they were trying to move it she finally looked up from her reading. " Do you need help with the desk?"

"Oh, yes please," She looked at Mitsu, smiling sheepishly, "That would help a lot."
To those nearby, she made a hand gesture, trying to grab their attention without making too much noise; the pain from the snake bite was ignored as she nodded, her expression turning serious, "Guys? Pass the message. There will be a meeting after this. Bring whatever you have, take only what you think is necessary. We'll share our findings..." She couldn't risk sending them a text, in case they didn't switch their phones off to silent mode...
She sighed, hoping that Xiu and Junko were ready to receive them.

LOOK-OUT
Success!
Hel’s grin widened as the gnome dissipated. Okay. She felt a lot better about that now and since the threat for the time being was out of the way, the valkyrie returned to her post outside of Red’s office door. She nodded to Taryn, and then kept looking back and forth down the hall.

As Lizzy set the desk contents aside, Malodore gingerly reached down and picked up the bottle, examining it carefully.
